What a bloody sight - III

Declan did not know anything, and she never felt such an overwhelming protective urge to protect her brother. He did not deserve to die this way, not in cold blood with a traitorous knife stabbing him in the back.

He was going to be a good leader and this was not the way he deserved to die, if it ever went to that.

"Joyce, try to make your decision quickly. I don't think he is going to survive with them out of blood loss. And if not allowed, then the infection he is definitely going to get." Killian raised a finger and waved it around. "The basement is not exactly cleaned and sanitized according to the health regulations."

That thought had not exactly come to her mind, and now that it had, it was obvious if he did not get his wounds treated quickly enough he was going to get an infection here.

She literally felt slammed in on all four sides.
