The answer was not difficult. Paranoia from him would have been completely different. He would have gone caveman on her immediately and he was not remotely close to that.

How did she know that, one might ask? Because this was the same protection, he extended to everyone. Margaret had slipped that detail in. Everybody had bodyguards, two with them, so that one remained with them, at least at all times. There might be a few more around them, depending where they were in, and what the situation was. The bodyguards would be traced in casual clothing too.

He was extending the same to her, and it meant that he was protecting her.

Her eyes lowered a little. "Ut is a new concept for me. It seemed a little bit over The top."

"Hardly," He scoffed. "These are necessities that your father did not take care of when he clearly should have. Why don't you leave the security measures to me? Now that I know what to do, I assure you nothing of the same sort happened to you again."
