Chapter Three

The car ride was silent, the only noise was Bobby playing with his toy. I'm glad he hasn't picked up on the type of vibe thats happening, I know I must sound crazy but I think children can pick up on things like that. That's why I make sure when we're around Bobby we're happy, even if we wanna kill each other in that moment. We turn off the main road and start heading towards what looked like a landfill, why in the heck is he taking us to a landfill?

Before I had time to question anything, we drive through some gates that were closed behind us by Morgan. I knew Charlie knew that I wanted to ask him what was happening, but I knew that he wasn't gonna tell me anything. Once we pull up he tells me to wait in the car for a second, this is when I spot the rest of the guys making their way over. Oh it's like a little hidden meet-up, it's quite shocking that I never got an invite, if you haven't noticed I was being sarcastic.

I couldn't hear what they were talking about but I could see how angry Charlie was, so that must mean they're discussing what happened last night. I wasn't that scared from what the guy did to me, I was more worried he was gonna break in the house and grab Bobby again. I turn back to look at him playing with his toy, he's just so carefree and happy. The car door opening snaps me out of my thoughts, but it wasn't Charlie getting in the front, but Marley getting in the back beside Bobby.

"What are you doing here?" I ask turning to look at him all shocked, I mean I was happy to see him but still very shocked "I thought you were in London with Chloe?" I say taking my seatbelt off so I could fully see him, him and Chloe have been together for about a year but she lives in London.

"We broke up, she was pulling me away from my family when they really need me" he scoffs annoyed with himself as he went, this just makes things start to click and I know what's going on.

"Charlie told you what happened last night didn't he?" I ask already knowing the answer, when did he have time to do that?!

"He rang me last night and I left right after, you're my sister Miya and he's my nephew, so I'm back here to do what I need to" he says giving the toy Bobby dropped back to him, I mean I loved that he was back but I hated if he was getting back into all the crime stuff "before you go on a huge rant about me getting back into business with Charlie again, family comes before anything and if I have to start doing this type of thing again to protect you, I will" he tells me as his phone bings, maybe it's Chloe annoyed that he broke up with her just like that and than running off!

"Come on, Charlie wants me to take you and Bobby back to the main house" he tells me putting his phone away, I just love that my husband goes through other people to talk to me, well he wasn't really talking me.

This not surprising me at all, I just get out the car and walk over to get Bobby. Marley pulls him out the car seat and hands him over to me, while also grabbing Bobbys bag that was near his feet. Oh so I guess we're gonna be away all day, lucky I decided to pack that bag in the first place. Once we were out, Marley leads me away from the car and down away from Charlie. I didn't like how much I was being kept out of the loop, let's be honest me and Bobby are the ones that these people are after but yet, I'm the one being kept in the dark.

Before I could dwell on more of the thoughts, a nice looking sports car comes into view. Don't ask me what make or model it was because I wouldn't have a clue.

"Nice innit, I got this beauty about a month ago" Marley brags running his hand over the bonnet of the black car, I really don't understand people's obsessions with cars.

"This looks expensive, why would you waste money on this?" I ask looking over at him, he just holds his hands over one of the wing mirrors of the car.

"Don't listen to her, she doesn't understand" he whispers like the car had feelings or something, I just laugh shaking my head a little at him.

"If we are going to go in your beauty of a car, you're gonna need to take Bobby's seat out of Charlie's car" I tell him but he just shakes his head unlocking the car, once he opens the door I spot a brand new car seat there.

"Come on Miya you know Charlie, he plans ahead" he smiles taking Bobby off me to strap him in the seat, yeah Charlie does like to plan ahead and keep me out of it.

I just sigh opening the passenger door and climbing in, another thing about expensive sports cars is you have little to no room! Once Bobby was strapped in, Marley climbs in beside me the smile not leaving his face, well at least the car makes me him happy I suppose. We were soon driving off down the road where Tom was stood this time, do they take turns being the gate person? Once we drive through, the gates were closed and a padlock put around them, why are they locking away a landfill?

"So where's this place we're going?" I ask turning back around to look at Marley, who was slipping a pair of sunglasses on, he's even getting into character of a person who would drive this!

"You know, the main house" he says looking over at me for a second, but once he saw the confusion on my face he continues "it's like the home base for the guys" he explains which just makes me roll my eyes, yeah I bet Charlie's there more than he is at his actual home.

"I can sense some tension little sis" Marley says in a mystic voice, I just roll my eyes at him not trying to bite at what he was doing.

"Okay first off, you're only 5 minutes older than me which in my opinion, doesn't class as you being older and second, there is no tension I'm just sick and tired of being kept out of the loop on things, the only time I find out what's really happening is when I have a target on my back" I rant but make sure to not raise my voice too much, I didn't want Bobby to hear all the shouting at get nervous.

"Charlie just wants to take care of you and Bobby, in his mind the way of keeping you safe is to keep you out of all the crime stuff he does" Marley says sounding like he was sticking up for Charlie in some way, didn't understand why though as they hated each other when they first met "now me and Charlie didn't start off great, but I can just tell by the way he acts around you and even when you're not there. You can just see on the man's face that you're all he thinks about and for that reason, I have to give the man some credit" he says as we turn the corner onto the main road again, maybe this main house will actually be a part of civilian.

"When did you start acting so grown up?" I ask with a smile, in school he would have taken my side and probably abducted me and Bobby, he laughs a little shaking his head.

"It had to happen at some point, I couldn't let you be the only mature one out of us could I?" He smiles before turning back to the road, yeah maybe it's not always great being the only mature one.
