THE BIG DAY

UHREL picked up the guitar leaning to one side and slung it over his shoulder. Today is the day. He blew a bit before following Chad and the rest of the gang who had already left Cold's studio. Cold Fuego is the owner of the recording studio where they signed the contract and he is also their manager. Uhrel found them waiting for him in the parking area with some Fuego Recordings staff to assist in what they were going to do.

Before boarding, Uhrel first looked at the camera hat was held by a staff.

"Hey, it's February 26, 2010 and today is the day that we'll gonna surprise the choosen one. So, yeah! And, we're a little bet late." he said before finally getting into the car.

"D, HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY!" Erin happily greeted Diana before handing over the gift that was wrapped in a pink wrapper.

"Thank you but you need not to worry about giving me anythin," Diana replied happily. " your presence would be enough," she added up while smiling and shaking the gift she was holding.

"Hush, don't shake. Uhrel will be dizzy inside." Erin declaimed with a teasing grin on her lips.

Diana was stunned for a moment with sadness in her eyes. He just wanted a simple celebration so only her close friends and relatives are invited. They are not rich. Her father was just an ordinary employee in a government office and his mother was a bank teller. She just received a schoolarship so she got into SGA. Celebrating her special day with her family and friends was enough for her. She's now eighteen and yes, she's already allowed to have a boyfriend and she want Uhrel Dela Torre to be her first but she also know that it was a too good to be true dream so she better forget about it.

Diana was slightly puzzled. She wanted to regret as to why she hadn’t tried to submit the form. But she didn't want to expect to be chosen so she decided not to. Atleast, she knew she had no right to hope. It wouldn't her if ever she fails. But in the depths of her heart, Diana secretly wishes to see Uhrel again even though she didn't feel good when he saw him at Black Beat's free concert at SGA.

Is she falling in love to him? Jeez...she bet, not.

A few moment later, all of Diana's guests were having fun. It was just a simple party. No cotillion and no eighteen roses.

Diana was standing on one side of their garden while talking to one of her cousins when she noticed a sudden commotion from the other side of the garden. She tilted her head back to look on what's going on. She saw her father standing who stared in surprise at some men putting up a wide and white curtain in front of the mini stage that his cousins had built yesterday.

Diana frowned as she stepped closer to them to calm his father who was already starting to raise his voice.

"What are you doing?" Her father inqiured with a trace of irritation in his voice.

The man in front of her was scratching his head and was about to speak when Diana suddenly interrupted them.

"What's going on here? And, who are you?" She frowned and asked them.

The man who was holding the curtain glared at the three men who quickly climbed up the stage. She could not see their faces because their heads were all bent over and they were also wearing caps that hides their faces. And she also could not see what was behind the curtain.

Still frowning, Diana tried to step closer to the stage with a curtain blocking her when she was suddenly stopped. A familiar sound of combined guitar, piano and drums roared around their small garden. Her eyes widened and her lips twitched. She stared at the curtain, as if waiting for someone to come out. And, as the white curtain was lifted, Uhrel's cold and soothing voice thundered on the air.

Diana's face turned red and she almost gasp in disbelief. It was the Black Beat! Her eyes were clouded as she touched her own cheek. She patted her face as if waking herself up in a very beautiful dream. The guests also started making noise. They even begin chanting the band's name.

"D!" Erin screamed and shook Diana as if she had forgotten to breathe. "Congratulations!"

Only then did Diana snapped back in her senses when she felt Erin shaking her, one after another. She could also hear the shrill scream of her voice accompanied by the sound of the Black Beat.

"Is this true?" Diana said inwardly while still looking in disbelief at the mini stage where Uhrel's group was performing enthusiastically.

"Of course!" Erin's thrilling voice answered before accompanying Uhrel's singing.

When she heard her friend singing, it finally sinks into Diana's mind. It is true that her favorite band is in front of her.

"Oh, my God!" misty eyed, she gaped as she stared to Uhrel.

"Delayed reaction, my friend?" Erin inquired as she let out a soft laugh. "And, slow down a little, D or Uhrel will melt with those stares." she added.

Diana's face turned red before looking back at the man who was still singing in front of them. She was startled and sang along. She couldn’t believe it but how in the world did that happen? She can't remember a thing about filling-up and submitted the form.

It seems like the miracle is real.
