FROM INSIDE the car, Uhrel and his friends had a view of a bungalow style house. They didn't went out first because they were still waiting for a signal from the inside. The house seemd to be old but it still nice to look at because of the new paint. There are also red flowers on the side of the wall. They are well-trimmed so evenly. From where thier car was pparked, Uhrel had a view of the delighted visitors. His forehead furrowed slightly. He thought it was a debut party but why does it looked like just a usual gathering?
He turned to one of Cold's staff who was with them.
"Is that it?" he asked, still frowning.
"Yes. That's it."
The notch on his forehead deepened even more before he regained his sight outside the car window. It was a simple party but those in the yard seemed to be very happy. He could clearly sight those cheerful smiles of the visitors. Uhrel couldn't believe it. That was far from what he expected. He wasn't informed that this was the party that they were going to. Very common and plain. He was used to go to fancy parties and this one is really amazing. It was beyond his imagination.
Minutes had passed and they all hear three weak knocks from the glass window that grabbed Uhrel's attention. He slightly lowered the window that was opposite him when he saw one of their staff. Next to him is a woman in a sleeveless floral dress. She looks familiar to him so he frowned for a moment to remember where she saw the woman.
"Hi, I'm Erin. Diana's bestfriend." Diana announced with a sweet on her lips. "I was the one who filled-up and sent the form to Black Beat's official email on behalf of her." she continued as her eyes scanned the four men who were inside the car.
Uhrel was stunned. So, that was why she looked familiar. She's with that woman who grabbed his attention on the night of their free concert at SGA. And, that same woman was the one they chose—or he chose, to be exact; to surprise on the day of her debut. He once again loweered the window but even before he could utter a word, he heard the simultaneous introduction of his three stupid friends.
"I'm Bree."
"Sweetheart, Butch here."
"Chad at your service, sexy."
Annoyed, Uhrel turned his head to the three. He furrowed when he saw them shrugging their shoulders as if they do not give a damn care if he was irritated.
"Can we go down now?" Chad asked while his eyes was still glued to the woman standing in front of him.
The woman smiled as she nodded.
"Yes. Please follow me. There's a small gate at the back so we will not be noticed by everyone, especially Diana."
"Alright!" Bree replied and quickly opened the car door next to him and stepped out.
Next to him is Chad, followed by Butch who were both wearing baseball caps so that in case that they came across someone, they would not be recognized. Uhrel adjusted the hood of his black hoody jacket before he finally get out of the car. They nodded and follow Erin.
From the small gate, they entered the back door and some visitors who were there seemed surprised to see them. Erin immediately motioned to them as if to calm them down. Surprised by the arrival of Black Beat, they recovered immediately as the trace of excitement were visible on their eyes while nodding in unison. They went through a small living room and unlike the kitchen, no one was there. Erin stopped in front of the door and looked at them. She prompted them to stop for a moment. The woman peeked outside and after a while, she turned to them with a smile.
"Ready?" She asked, her voice was slightly trembling.
"Yes!"
"Let's get it on!"
"Hell, yeah!"
Bree, Chad and Butch responded while Uhrel nodded slightly. He could not understand the feeling. Just like when he first saw Diana at SGA, he once again felt his chest pounding abnormally and he seemed to have a difficulty in breathing.
Fuck but what the hell is happening to him?!
Erin folded her hands and looked at them one by one. "Thank you for choosing my bestfriend. This is a dream come true to her." She mumbled a her tears fell down her cheek.
"You're welcome!" Chad answered with a soft smile. "But I think, you should say that directly to Uhrel here. He was the one who personally choose your friend." He added while reaping the sharp glances that Uhrel was giving him.
Erin was stunned as she looked to Uhrel with joy. "Thank you, Uhrel. This really means a lot to her. She didn't fill up the form because she didn't want to feel devastated if ever she won't be chosen. So I decided to do it for her. At least she won't be hurt when she fails not to be selected because she doesn't know that I filled up the form for her. Big thanks for choosing Diana. I didn't expect it. "Erin said emotionally.
Erin's own e-mail was the one she used when she sent the form so she was the one who received an email from Black Beat to let her know that Diana had been selected.
Uhrel stared at the woman. He couldn’t believe that she had done that for the friend. Seems like the two share a great bond, huh.
"You're welcome."
Erin smiled as she raised her hand and smiled.
"Don't!" She yielded and released a sigh which made Chad laugh.
"You're sweet and cute, Erin. Looks like the two of us are good match, ey."
Erin turned to Chad and smirked. "I'm sorry but you are not my type. If you were Bree, maybe I can consider that." she harshly said that made the three laugh except for Uhrel.
Chad rubbed his chest and sighed he was in pain. "Ouch! That really hurts, babe!" he pleaded.
"Oh,well...back off, dude!" Bree queered as he tugged a wide smile in his lips. " I'm the one she wants," he added up and was about to hug Erin when the woman quickly slapped his hand.
"Stop right there! I just like you but I'm not your girlfriend so, please..." Erin roared.
Butch, on the other hand, was trying to suppressed his laughter so hard that he almost shook his shoulder.
"Ouch, that really hurts!" Butch mumbled as he reaped a series of soft punches from Bree and Chad.
"Bastard!"
"Idiot!"
