Summer had come. Aeris could taste it in the air. The warmer weather always brought with it a crisper scent while still retaining the freshness she associated with spring. It differed from the bitterness of colder temperatures. Usually this meant more days for flying and relaxing as the humans held fewer banquets during the summer, however, it also meant it would be harder for Aeris to sneak out. A lone dragon wearing a cloak in summer drew more attention.
It was a risk she had to take if she was going to continue seeing Windor. She still needed to think of an appropriate apology for running off on him like she did. Asking Lilith would be ideal, but lately she could never pull the woman away from Master Aaron.
Speaking of Master Aaron, he seemed to be ignoring her. She tried asking Charles whenever he brought their meals and he always told her to keep her nose out of important matters.
