Side Story: Valentine's Day
Jaden was angry, upset... No more than that...he was FURIOUS...
When he arrived at the school and saw so many goofy people running around stressed out all over here to there giving away… chocolates? They get on his nerves...
He didn't know who was the person that had invented that unproductive day but he hated it... he hated it too much...
Much more because when he got to his classroom Jaden found a huge stack of those boxes full of chocolates in his desk.
Didn't they hate him for being “the fake omega"? Didn't they always find faults in him? Didn't they bully him?
"What hypocrisy..." he split with hate...
That was the thing that bothered him, all the chocolates he had received were from people who always looked down on him of treat him badly, who consider him trash and now that has was living with Alucard they simply had the nerve to give him a dessert for what? To have a connection with the alpha that bite him?
"What a popularity" Alucard's mocking tone only made Jaden's forehead frown.
"Stop joking around, your Excellency"
"Hahaha but it's surprising"
Alucard of all people knew why they were doing such an act of hypocrisy, Jaden was HIS omega, he was marked by him so if they won the minor's friendship they could afford to ask Alucard for a "favor"... however, it was funny for him to see Jaden throwing pests into the air with his bad words with that grumpy face...
Although he wanted to throw all the packages in the trash with great fury, Jaden couldn't waste food so irresponsible so he had to think about where he could make a good use for that chocolate.
The boy had an expression of annoyance and mistrust that caused Alucard a lot of tenderness without realizing it.
"Don't you like chocolate?" the alpha asked again.
"I like it, I really do, it's delicious, intoxicated, addictive but I hate falsehood"
Jaden answered that so loudly that it sound in all the classroom, he leave his briefcase on his chair and left the classroom without saying anything more...
Jaden wanted to clear his mind so he go to the library.
Maybe he could find something there that would allow him to escape from the madness of the “Crazyloversland”
They had canceled all of their classes to do this crap event and Jaden had just found out when they arrive...
«I want to go home now...» that was on his mind unfortunately had couldn't go until the “oficial exchange” of chocolates was done.
«Now I understand why we have to buy chocolate at the way here...I'm going to cut whoever who gave me another chocolate thanks to this meaningless celebration!!!»
Jaden wanted to shout that but he was in the library where you have to be quiet so he only could think that releasing his anger.

On the other side of the school, a red-haired handsome boy was running away with all his might to the safest place he could find.
He was running like crazy...
As if the devil in person was there for his soul but in truth, he was being chased by a mob…or an avalanche of girls trying to give him their chocolates even though he had told them very clearly that he couldn't take it...
Everyone knew or somehow found out that he and Jaden had that kind of "relationship" which made it harder for them to deny when almost the entire SnowHill already knew about their supposed romance.
His aunt had questioned him really hard about why Drachen hadn't told her that he was dating her son and how could he see Jaden as a couple when they practically grew up together as "brothers"
Despite all the trouble Drachen had gotten into for that lie, he had no regrets. His parents had told him that they would support him with whoever he wanted to be with as long as Jaden also wanted to separate from Alucard’s bite and form a life as the prince's husband.
Drachen didn't know how to thank them and also how to apologize because he couldn't tell them the truth... that they weren't a couple yet, that they never had been one... and that now he was just pretending only to help his friend.
He hadn't even asked him why he had said they were a couple, was it maybe to make Alucard jealous? Or maybe… Jaden also felt the same as him and like him?
Each step was torturing him but finally he managed to find a good place to hide and calm his breath...
The library...
Fortunately at that time it was empty or that's what Drachen thought.
That place was huge, he loved it... he had always enjoyed reading but he never got into it when there were people, firstly because he was always scolded for being a prince, he had a large collection in his personal library and because he was royalty he had no right to spend time with his friends in that place even if they had status, secondly as a prince Drachen “should have a more lucrative hobby” like horseback riding or fencing, but reading... that was for omegas and women...
Or that's what the smug alphas always said...
A long sigh escaped his lips as he dropped into a stack of books hidden in a corner, unaware of that pair of emerald eyes following him.
“You look terrible"
That soft and velvety voice flooded him and managed to make his world shine, he thought for a moment that he was hallucinating but as soon as he raised his face he saw him there...
Jaden had a book in his hands, his beautiful long white hair was failing freely on his shoulders, his bright eyes were looking at him and that smile…. Damn it... that damn smile that made him tremble...

"Dreach"
They both looked at each other for a moment before laughing a little.
In an instinctive move Drachen stepped aside to make a space for him in his little hideout, and reading the other's mind Jaden sat down next to him.
They remained silent for a long time, words wereen't really necessary, they both felt it in that way.
"What a day…"
Drachen was the first to break the long silence only because he had something to say to Jaden and since fate had brought them together he would not miss that opportunity.
"It's chaotic wherever you go" Jaden replied with that subtle smile on his lips
Drachen agreed with him and in that small space where there were only the two of them, he dared to take the other's hand.
"Jay…"
The soft touch of Drachen's big fingers made Jaden tremble, he had never felt something like that… it was strange as if... As if he was nervous?
Jaden look at him but when they mad eye contact his face turned red... that never had happened before, maybe since the world saw them as a “couple” he was feeling strange...

His big lie that now they couldn't deny was acting against him now... Now Jaden couldn't help to see Drachen not as family but as a man... as the delta he was... strong, attractive and somewhat sexy...
«What the hell are you thinking! Erase that IMAGE from your mind Jaden Winterlane!»
He scolded himself at the image of the shirtless opponent showing off his worked body as he remembers... That day...
"You know... I don't really like this day…" Drachen's masculine but soft voice managed to bring Jade back to his sense and pays attention to him.
Jaden quickly shook off those cloudy and dirty thoughts to concentrate on what his friend was saying.
"Yes it's true, who knows who invented this celebration... but it's absurd"
Jaden snorted in annoyance, he was about to continue complaining about the stupid event when Drachen spoke again causing him to remain silent a little longer.
"Yes… it's true lol...but… for some reason, being with you…" the pause that Drachen made cause that Jaden's heart race hard and fast. He didn't know what he would say but it made him feel more nervous.
From one second to another Drachen's face was so close that their noses could almost touch each other, Jaden waited until his friend's voice was heard again but this time hhis voice sounded like a whisper, like a secret between them as they got lost in the darkness... "Being with you…doesn't seem so bad after all"
The redhead prince took out a small bag with chocolates inside, something that undoubtedly surprised Jaden more, who couldn't hide his surprise.
"Happy Valentine's Day Jay"

That was the first word that came on his head for that soap opera scene… everything on Drachen's action were too sweet and Jaden quite liked it…
