Chapter 15: I'll go with you

Dylan is sitting in his room, rotating his chair. It is his father's office, and he has been working continually for a week. He seems to be exhausted. He is in his white shirt with sleeves rolled up and his tie loosened. His hairs are all messy, and his black coat is placed on his chair. He ignites the cigarette and inhales deeply. Janice's moans still echo in his ears. He places his hand on his face.

"Dammit! I can't stop thinking about her," he says to himself. He opens the tracker record on his phone. The tracer lies static, showing green light over the CK villa. "It's late. She might be asleep." He checks the time on his phone. "3 AM." He opens his phone's gallery and opens an album in which there are pictures of her, and she doesn't even have the slightest idea about it. He took them sneakily when she was in a deep sleep. "Can't believe a woman can drive me crazy." He laughs, leans against the chair and closes his eyes.

The door swings open, and Lixin enters. He has papers and an envelope with him. He snatches the cigarette from Dylan's hand. Dylan hums, but he ignores and throws it into the dustbin. "The reports are here. Do you wanna check them?" Dylan nods, extending his hand. He examines the papers, and his expression grows tense.

"Are these correct?" inquires Dylan. He scans again in disbelief. He had been predicting this, and it turns out he was right.

"Yeah These reports have been carefully examined by the recognized doctors so yes," replies Lixin. "This toxin is rarely found in the blood and the doctors are unable to find antidote yet."

Dylan nods and places them back inside the envelope. He is still frowning. "Then I believe we must go for the prescription first. Since the toxin isn't from here so I guess neither does the prescription." He absent-mindedly searches his pocket and takes out a card. "Did Kingsley tell her?"

"No, he didn't I was there whole time," answers Lixin.

Dylan returned with Kingsley and Christian as soon as they heard the news from Lixin. He was there the whole time, and then he received a call from his father, so he couldn't stay there further for her and leave her before she returned to consciousness. He also told others not to tell her because he simply didn’t want to, and he himself didn't know why. He wants to depict himself as a practical man in front of others.

"He respects his pocket money," Dylan chortles. Dylan has spoiled Kingsley. He loves him like his younger brother and always prioritizes him. He always gives him handsome monthly wages so he can do further enjoyment. Still, he nudges him for money, and he never says no to him.

"Miss Wu looks suspicious. I think she knows that we took advantage of her situation," says Lixin. He tells Dylan about the look on her face.

"It doesn't matter… she will never know," says Dylan calmly.

"Umm… did you check that ID card?" asks Lixin, and he nods. "Well…" Lixin throws papers on the table. "Here is the complete info of that person."

"It took you so long?" asks Dylan, staring at two pages.

"I came to see you when Miss Wu went missing. You were busy that day so." He shrugs.

"Ah! yeah fine totally," says Dylan.

He checks the papers and sighs.

"Do you want me to finish him?" asks Lixin.

"No, not right now. When it's time, we will deal." He gathers all the papers throw them inside his desk's drawer, and locks them. "Deal with everyone who dares to hurt Janice," says Dylan bitterly.

"You will go back to CK villa tomorrow. Will you?" asks Lixin.

"Well emotionally I should say yes but technically it's no. A clear no I guess," says Dylan.

"I got it. But I'd recommend that you should," says Lixin.

"You know my father always work in abroad. When he comes here to do business it is my duty to do his work. So at least he can get break. Then how…" His voice breaks. "How can I? His workload is more than mine."

Lixin sighs and sits on one of the chairs in front of the desk. "I saw Miss Wu cutting dates on the calendar. She looks happy. I've never seen her smile that way before." He pauses. "Recently, you have been busy with work. I… I appreciate. I really do, but you should consider that too."

"Hey! Don't touch me! Let me in!" Their conversation is interrupted by the girl's shout, and after seconds she bursts inside. She is wearing a dark green glittery gown whose neck is deep enough to easily drive a man's attention. She stumbles and falls to the floor. "Ouch!"

Lixin and Dylan both look at her. "Ah! Sorry." One guard picks her up to throw out. Dylan raises his hand to prevent the act. The guard bows and leaves.

"If she isn't from the best diamond's daughter. I'd do the honours of throwing her out," whispers Lixin. Dylan chuckles, and Fang smiles, unaware of the conversation between Lixin and Dylan.

"Ze, will you mind to leave us alone?" she asks in a seductive tone.

Lixin gets up and straightens himself, "Better consider my words." He leaves, throwing a disgusting glance at her. He neither likes her nor her seductive tone. He wishes to kill her whenever she calls his name, but he is helpless.

"It's getting late. Why are you here?" he asks. Fang thinks that he cares for her. She smiles and opens her mouth, but Dylan cuts her. "I told you not to disturb me when I'm at work." His words remind him of Janice. Everyone told her he was at work, and she didn't even call or message him to argue. He wishes that she should. He believes that she will be mad for not visiting her. He misses arguing with her. He misses her.

He opens her folder and types a message, "Sleepyhead I've a surprise for you!" and send it to her.

He thinks about her so much that he ignores Fang's catwalk towards him. He came to his senses when she grabbed his collar and placed a finger on his lips. She tries to touch his hair, but Dylan grabs her hand.

"I don't like to be touched. I guess you know and if you don't better to keep that in mind then," he says. She is bending over him. He can clearly see through what she is trying to do. Luring him with her beauty. Is it the only thing she is capable of doing? "Miss Bai, it would be much better if you mind your attitude."

"You can call me Fang," she snaps.

"I do not think we're that close," says Dylan distancing her. He gets up to leave, grabbing his coat. A notification pops on his phone, "The subscriber you are trying to reach is in a deep sleep. Please try later." Janice writes back. Dylan smiles and picks up his phone too.

"I heard you are going to CK villa tomorrow," she sneers. Dylan freezes. He didn't want to tell her, but somehow she got his info. From whom he will know.

"I want to go back with you," she insists innocently. She doesn’t want to leave Dylan all for Janice. She wants to make him fall for her and is determined for it.

"Fine by me. But only if I go," He walks away, bearing in mind he will deal with her later.
