"JAMES! You will be late for your train. Hurry up and get down here!" Amanda yelled from downstairs.
James on the other hand was in his room. He was packing his suitcase when he heard his mother yelling from downstairs. "Just a minute!" He said annoyingly.
He then glanced at the clothes that he was supposed to fold and pack it in his suitcase an hour ago. He knew that there was no way in hell that he would be able to pack everything up on time. So he hurriedly grabbed all of his clothes and shoved them into his suitcase. Because of the huge heap of clothes, the suitcase refused to shut close. He sighed seeing the condition of his suitcase. It is then that he improvised. He sat on the suitcase. With his weight, the suitcase immediately closed and then hurriedly close the suitcase's knob and shut it closed.
James then looked around to see whether he needed anything else for his trip or not. He then spotted a small green color tablet on his desk. He quickly ran and grabbed the tablet and put it in his pocket. After that he grabbed his suitcase he started running downstairs.
As James came running downstairs, Amanda yelled at him "Slow down! You will break something." She whined.
James ignored his mother's whining and went straight toward the dining table. He sat down at the table and then grabbed some fresh toast and butter. After smearing a thick layer of butter on the toast, he started munching his breakfast. While Amanda's kept on asking questions to James about his trip…
"Did you have your MCD?" she asked.
"Es." James replied while munching on toast.
"Do you have your money pouch?" she asked.
"Yes." He said while swallowing the toast.
"Do you have your train ticket?" she asked again.
"Mother! I have packed everything that I could possibly need on this trip. I have my MCD, money pouch, clothes, Tyrion house insignia blazer, and books. I have everything packed and ready to go in my suitcase. So, stop whining and let me eat my toat in peace." He said annoyingly.
"Alright alright. I would leave you alone. But first, tell me, James, do you have your train ticket?" she asked. Hearing her question, James looked at her annoyingly. He was very annoyed as she asked the right question. He had packed everything in his suitcase, but he forgot to pack his train ticket.
Seeing that James wasn't replying, Amanda understood that she asked him a million gold coin questions. 'Judging by his annoyed face, it was safe to assume that he doesn't know where his ticket is.' Amanda thought.
"Your ticket is in the right-hand side drawer of your study table. I kept it there a week ago. And I have been nagging about it for the whole week now. How the hell can you forget to take it?" Amanda asked sounding concerned.
"I ignore most of the things you say. That is why I didn't know where you have kept the ticket." James said nonchalantly.
"Maye this is too early for you. I should probably come with you. Who knows what would happen to you there. It is a pretty busy town, and what if something bad happens?....." Amanda then started mumbling to herself. Hearing her mumbling, James started to get more annoyed.
He then looked at the clock and saw that he had about an hour before he absolutely needs to be at the station. And if he leaves now, he would be able to get to the station in just 10 min max. Then he looked at her mother, seeing her condition he believed that if he stays here any longer then she would somehow wear him down, and then she would convince him that she is also coming with him. This thought was scary but he truly believed in his mother's paranoia.
So James acted fast. He first got up and ran upstairs. He took the ticket and carefully put it inside his pocket. Then he came downstairs and ignored his mother's question and paranoia. He then grabbed another piece of toat, grabbed his suitcase, he then kissed his mother goodbye, and then James started heading off towards the train station…
It took James 25 minutes to get from his house to the train station. It usually takes a person around 10 min to get to the station with a carriage. But as he had a lot of time on his hands, James decided that it would be for the best if he just walked to the train station.
Even after walking to the station as slowly as possible, James reached the station pretty early. He then straight went towards the designated platform number for his train. After getting there he searched for a bench. After sitting down on the bench he quickly opened the book on Ancient Runes that he was carrying in his arms. Then he started reading the book, without a care in the world.
While sitting on the bench, a lot of people walked by him. But James didn't bat an eye at them and kept on concentrating on his book. But it was then one of the passersby, stopped and started looking at him. The stranger then started walking towards James and sat down beside him.
James didn't mind that a stranger sat down beside him. He didn't even care to look up and see who the stranger was. While on the other hand, the stranger kept observing James who was lost in the book. After some time passed, the stranger couldn't help himself but ask…
"What are you reading?" the stranger asked. James on the other hand ignored him and kept on reading. But the stranger didn't take the hint that James didn't want to talk to him. The stranger then shooked James's shoulder and asked "Do you understand what you are reading?"
James got annoyed by this. He didn't want to talk to the stranger. But he was taking the hint that he didn't want to be disturbed. So James then closed his book after carefully placing the bookmark and then looked and the stranger and asked with a commanding tone "What do you want?"
The stranger's height was the same as James's. He had a very thick beard on his face and long hair. The stranger was wearing a knit cap over his head while his clothes looked like he was a man that was barely making his end needs. When James saw that hobo, he was annoyed and wanted to punch him in the face. But he refrained from doing so, as he didn't want to bully people just because he was an awakened one.
"What are you reading?" the stranger asked curiously. Hearing his question, James then swallowed his anger. He then said
"This thing? This is the advanced book on Runic Integration circuit and application. It is quite an interesting book that tells us details about Hemier's hypothesis and Yule's theorems." James said. Hearing the question, a smile appeared on Hobo's face.
"Isn't this some very advance stuff for a guy like you?" the hobo asked.
"Is it? I don't think so." James said in a mocking tone. This stuff was really advanced for a person who hasn't even started attending school. But James thought that the hobo didn't understand the word that he just said and was just saying this because of the heavy words that he used.
"Miss Hubert was correct. You are a perfect fit for the second candidate." The hobo said.
Hearing the name of Miss Hubert, James was bewildered. As far as he could tell there was only one Miss Hubert, the principal of the Emerald Garden. He then looked at the hobo once again and determined that this person doesn't seem like a guy that attended Emerald Garden in his younger years. This got James curious about the identity of the hobo.
"Excuse me, but do I know you?" James asked.
"Yeah, we met before. At that time we didn't talk much. But let's make this time count. Hello, my name is Jarad Fullbody." The hobo said with a big smile on his face.
Hearing this, James was shocked for a moment. He then looked closely at the hobo again and determined that this person doesn't even resemble the young man from the party. Seeing the appearance of the man, James started getting suspicious of the man.
"Oh… You must be confused because of your beard and clothes." The hobo said.
"Yeah…" James said while still being suspicious about him.
"Well, I ran away from the Fullbody complex. I wanted to go to Valgoore because of one personal matter. But my family member refused to let me go there. So I disguised myself." Jarad said with a proud expression.
"Yeah…" James said slowly still being suspicious about him. Sensing that James was suspicious of him, Jarad sighed. To make James believe him, he told him the details about his birthday party. And hearing them, James finally believed that the person sitting in front of him was actually Jarad himself.
