Tamika and James were sitting on a sofa in the Grommer manor. They both were sitting in Marcella's office and were waiting for her arrival…
After the soldiers found them beaten up, they escorted them straight towards the manor. As they got to the manor, one of the maids bandaged Tamika's nose. While James was unharmed so he just sat on the sofa and relaxed a little bit. After the maids were done, the head maid told them that Marcella had requested them to sit quietly in her office for the time being.
The head maid even warned them mistress was in a very bad mood when he went out. And it would be best for them to follow the mistress's instructions for the time being. Because if they do no follow her instruction and are out of the line even for just a minute before she gets here then they would be very severely punished. And their punishment would be worst they anything that they could ever imagine.
That is why currently James and Tamika were sitting in her office and waiting for judgment to rain on them…
"Say… What do you think our punishment would be?" James couldn't help but ask her.
"I don't know…" Tamika said while biting her nails due to nervousness.
"What is the worst punishment your mother has given you till now?" James asked.
"She sent me to prison once," Tamika said.
"WHAT!" James said startled by revelation.
"Yeah… It was the worst time of my life." Tamika said shuddering when she remembered her experience.
"SHE SENT YOU TO AN ACTUAL PRISON?" James asked her again as he couldn't believe that his aunt would do something like that to her.
"She didn't send me to an actual prison. I was still in the house during my punishment time." Tamika clarified.
"So you were grounded…" James said realizing what she meant.
"It is more like a prison. I ran away from home, and when soldiers found me and brought me back, my mother grounded me. But that was not sufficient punishment according to her. So she locked me in a guest room which only had a bed and no other furniture. The windows of the room were blocked and the only source of light in the room was the little hole in the wall for sunlight. I was fed porridge three times a day during my punishment. It was the nastiest 12 hours of my entire life." Tamika said.
"Sounds tough," James said. While inwardly he thought that two days in such confinement would be piece of cake for him…
"What should we do James?" Tamika asked getting more nervous.
"First let's get our story straight. I don't want you to get in trouble because of me. So when she gets here, let's just say that it was all my idea. That way you would be in the safe zone." James said.
"Thanks…" Tamika said with a nervous smile on her face.
It was then suddenly the gate of the office was flung open and Marcella walked in. She was wearing a silver color breastplate and gauntlets. It was evident from her walking pattern that she was angry. She was so angry that as soon as she entered the office, she straightaway came to a stop in front of both of them. She then took the seat in front of them and sat there quietly.
Marcella folded her legs as she was sitting and just started staring at both of them with contempt. Her eyes were like daggers that pierced both of them at the same time.
None of the trio uttered a single word for a few minutes. While the atmosphere of the room started becoming heavier and heavier. Tamika couldn't bear it any longer, so she broke the silence…
"Mother…I… no… We are sorry. We thought...." Tamika started apologizing to her mother, but it was then she was interrupted…
"SILENCE!!!" Marcella yelled while glaring at her daughter. "You imbecile, I told you a thousand times that the world out there is very dangerous. I told you that when you are ready, I would gladly let you go out on your own. But you disobeyed me time after time. And now look what happened to you." Marcella said.
"It is just a scratch mother. I would just have to visit Grandma Honey once and this would get fully healed. And you know her prowess, her magic won't even leave a scratch." Tamika said.
"YOU FOOL, THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOUR INJURY. THIS IS ABOUT THE FACT THAT YOU PICKED A FIGHT WITH A PERSON WHO NOT ONLY WAS NOT THE THIEF, BUT ALSO HE WAS AN AWAKENED ONE." Marcella said.
"He is was not the thief? But he was about to kill James…" Tamika said.
"Anyone would have taken out their weapon if someone attacked them for no apparent reason. And James did the exact same thing." Marcella said while looking at James.
"In my defense, he was wearing the same clothes as the thief. So I couldn't recognize which guy was which." He said.
"James… Go pack your bags. From this day forward you are not welcomed in the Grommer manor anymore. Get your bags and get the hell out of my house." Marcell said brutally.
"MOTHER!" Tamika yelled. She then got up to protest. But it was then, that Marcella also got up. And before Tamika could know it…
PAAAT
A sound of slap resounded in the quiet room. Marcella slapped her daughter. James was stunned as he saw that. While Tamika was also in shock after receiving a slap. Her mother had never hit her before in her life.
"Not a single word Tamika. Sit down this instant." Marcella said to Tamika. Then she looked at James and said. "Out of my house Tyrion. OUT!" she yelled again…

Maiden's beer is a small pub and tavern in Valgoor town. Many lowlifes of this town gather in this place to have a drink. It is a pub that normal people as well as the soldiers deployed here avoid like a plague.
Currently, it was the middle of the day. But the pub was running at its full capacity. People inside were dancing, singing, fucking, and fighting. It was a very chaotic place at the moment. Every person in the room was high and was creating a ruckus. Even though this place was chaotic, there was one place in the whole tavern which was chaos-free. And that place was a table at one of the corners of the pub.
On that quiet table sat an old man. He looked like a distinguished gentleman with his expensive suit and cane. He didn't look like someone who belongs in this pub. And yet he sat there on the table looking at his clock from time to time.
Normally if a person like would have entered the pub, then thieves and ra*pers would have been all over that person. It didn't matter whether the victim was a girl, boy, an old Nobel, etc. People of this pub clubs despise snoddy rich people like that old man. But currently, no one was targetting the old man.
And there was a simple reason why they weren't attacking him. And the reason was this old man was strong. Very strong in fact. When the old man first came, many people attacked him at once. But the old man killed them all like it was a walk in the park. Since then the old man had come to this many times. And every time he had come many people attacked him. And all of them ended up being dead within a few seconds. Since then every person in this pub was terrified of that old man.
While the pub carried on its chaotic tradition, a woman entered the pub. She was wearing a bandana on her head and a fierce look on her face. She was wearing a revealing shirt and normal leather pants. No one batted an eye when that woman came in. Then that woman made her way toward the old man's table. She then took a chair out and sat down in front of the old man.
"You are late." The old man said.
"Yeah… Sorry about that. The Battalion leader's daughter got in some sort of trouble so the whole town is in an uproar." The woman said.
"What happened to her?" the old man asked.
"I don't know the details. But she ran away with a boy. Then they got in a fight with another awakened one… something like that." The woman said.
"Hmm." The old man said. He didn't show it on his face, but this news affected the old man a little bit.
'I hope you are safe James.' The old man thought and prayed for James's safety to Lord Ouroboros.
