Not as bad as I thought

The devil sighed at my words, *nobody told me the devil knows how to sigh like a normal human.* "it's either you willingly follow me through this, or I force you to do so." He said in a tone that shows he's ready to make good on his threats should I be unwilling to do as he asked.

" Are you trying to say you'll force me against my will, should I not do as you asked? " I raised a brow. Folding my hands, I stubbornly glare at the Devil as I dared him to come to force me.

"I will only make good of my threat when you refuse to willingly follow me. Currently, I have no time to spend trying to make you change your mind. "

" I'm not…" I Yelp in fear when I felt myself floating. " What's happening to me?" I look down in alarm as I continued going higher.

My eyes got larger when I saw myself floating towards the blue, shimmering thing, but couldn't do anything then.

"Please stop!" I close my eyes, preparing for the dead by shriving and melting.

But none came.

Instead, I felt myself being lowered to the floor until my feet touched the solid floor I was taken up from.

Slowly, I open my eyes, only to see myself near the devil.

"What....."

"Now, should we continue the journey or not?" He asked in a bored tone.

"Let's…." I look behind me and noticed the seal has already closed on its own.

And there's no way for me to return there without getting shrivelled.

I stood my ground as I glanced behind me and in front of me.

Presently, you can say I'm in between two deadly things, and not the Devil and the blue sea.

In some ways, being between the Devil and the blue sea isn't as bad as people made it sound.

In front of me is a mist. One that's too dark, I don't think I'll see the Devil should we enter into it.

And that thought scared me.

As much as I would like to be out of the devil's clutches, I can't do that if I get lost in a mist all for escaping from him.

Currently, the Devil is my safe bet.

"Should we proceed?" He asked for the second time.

"Of course, let's do. Let's go." I link our elbows together without much shame, and all but dragged the Devil towards the mist.

The devil didn't say anything. He just allowed me to drag him through the dark fog as if I were some pro who's showing him the reins.

We walked for a long time until I thought I might have taken a wrong turn.

But after a short while, we came to the end of the mist.

"Welcome to my kingdom, the kingdom of flames." The devil introduced his kingdom to me in a tone of voice that made me aware of the fact he's proud of his Kingdom.

Proud of what he achieved.

I stood mouth agape at the top of the mountain *turned out the mist leads to a Mountain.* as I looked around the place.

The beauty of the kingdom isn't like what I imagined at all. I imagined something devilish. Something fiery, and full of pits of fire.

"Breathtaking right?" The Devil asked in a smug tone.

"You wish." I scoffed but Still didn't turn to face him.

Right now, I have a kingdom to admire, and I wouldn't want someone like the Devil to spoil it for me.

The Kingdom is like something straight out of a fairy tale. The only difference between this kingdom and the pictures in fairy tales is the colours.

Unlike the ones in fairy tales, the houses aren't painted with overly bright colours. They all have dark paints used on them, and that on its own made them unique and wonderful.

Something at the distance caught my eyes, and I squint, searching for what took my attention without trying.

"That's my palace." The devil supplies, "you won't be able to see the details from afar.

Should you care to see it clearer, I advise you to go nearer to it."

" And how do you propose I do so, oh wise devil?"

" Let's go." Unexpectedly, the devil circled his arm around my waist and took to the skies.

"Gods!" I hastily cover my eyes as my heartbeat skyrocketed. The organ started bearing fast. Not, for once, showing any sign of stopping any moment from now.

"You will love to open your eyes. Trust me, the experience is quite superb!"

" And you think I'll trust the word of a devil?" I scoffed.

I've never trusted my family members before, so I see no need to trust anyone at all.

"If you like, you do as I asked if not forget. I'm not forcing you to do something you're not comfortable with.

But the sight alone is to die for. Should you open your eyes to see the beauty, you'll thank me later."

Despite my refusal to open my eyes based on my fear in me, I slowly opened my eyes.

"Wow." I almost drooled on those poor houses.

Initially, I thought those houses are beautiful, but the beauty they had at a distance is nothing compared to the one they have now.

It seems as if someone made them much more beautiful now.

"I told you so." The Devil said in a smug tone. Pleased, he got me to open my eyes despite my words of refusal.

Somehow, hearing that smug tone made me angry.

And it's based on the fact his words are true.

"I only opened my eyes a little, just to exercise it through." I love through my teeth, still maintaining that smug look.

"And I can see that. Your eyes were in serious need of exercise, and you gave it to it."

"Exactly! Now do you see, I can never lie."

"Yeah, not at all." I roll my eyes at him, though I'm quite aware he can't see me.
