Promise never to leave him

"Are you certain this is a good idea? The children are still young. We shouldn't put them through this."

"Young?" Sarit scoffed, "you might think they are young, but they don't think the same. They are ready to defend their village, and it's our duty to help them out." Sarit turned to the children, "are you ready for victory!" She shouted.

"Yay!" The children replied after her, as jubilant as ever.

"See? The children are ready for it. Come on, you don't have to dwell on one thing for long. It was her fault she fell under my spear. Let's go." Sarit took my hand in hers and led me towards the village, while the children followed, murmuring under their breath as they did so.

The children murmured as they followed us.

Their amused chuckles as they followed, made me smile.

These youngsters don't even know what they are going up to fight.

Sarit and I led the children to the battleground, a bit too late you might say.
