I'm yours

"I should have known something was up with her when she started getting close to you, as a human." Fyre gently removed the hair that was glued to my face.

"It's not your fault. You wouldn't have known that there was something wrong with her."

Even I was fooled by her gently ways. I wouldn't have thought she was capable of harming me.

Hell.

I considered her a friend.

"I should have been aware of it. Being the king of hell isn't a title that's given to just anyone. I was supposed to know."

"It's not time to blame oneself for something that has already happened. You don't have to worry about her. She's dead, and can't harm us any more." I place my head on his chest.

"If you say so."

Fyre said before he became silent.

All around us, the only sound that can be heard was that of crickets.

The serene cool river we were in, was relaxing to both the mind and body. This was precisely what I needed after a day of fighting.
