Ye Haoran

After the cab dropped Yu Xiao Yan and the kid in front of the building, she couldn't help but marvel at the size of this building, from afar the building looked like every other tall building but up close it was very very tal and enormous. She couldn't even see the top of the building from across the road.

"good day ma'am how may I help you?" The receptionist greeted as they walked into the building.

"I want to meet somebody" she courteously replied still sizing out the place with her eyes.

" ok who if I may ask?" the receptionist asked back politely, Yu Xiao Yan looked down at the child and asked "Hey little kid is there something I could identify your parents with, maybe like their name, picture or even a business card"

The little girl fished out a business card from her suit breast pocket then handed it to Yu Xiao Yan. Yu Xiao Yan didn't even check what was written on it, she just passed it to the receptionist.

"Do you have a schedule with him?" when the receptionist saw the name on the business card she looked suspiciously at the young lady standing before her but still she spoke politely.

"No I don't" Yu Xiao Yan answered back.

"um sorry you can't see him without a schedule"

"really?!" Yu Xiao Yan had not expected such a turnout event, she had expected to be told he was busy then maybe she would have to wait for a while, but having to not meet him at all was totally out of her expectation.

"yes but if you could contact him to tell him you're here then maybe he could send someone to bring you in" Though the receptionist knew it was totally impossible for just anyone to call that person, she still did her kid of offering this solution and politely at that.

Yu Xiao Yan was going to reply but she felt a tug on her shirt, she looked down and saw the little girl stretching her small fair palm out like she was asking for something.

"what?" she looked at her puzzlingly

"phone" the girl replied, Yu Xiao Yan immediately understood that she wanted to call her dad , she pulled out her phone from her pocket and saw the message Fei Hong had sent her.

it read "where the f*ck are you?! it's getting dark come back quickly, I have something important to tell you and I'm getting HUNGRY!"

she checked the time and it was already noon, she truely should be on her way home by now plus she was already getting exhausted too but she couldn't leave this kid alone at least not until she confirmed that her parents would come pick her up. She reluctantly passed the phone to the kid and watched as her fingers punched in a set of numbers and made the call.

Ye haoran hands paused when he saw the unknown numbers, then he slowly picked up the phone and answered the call.

"hello" the phone was still connected to the big screen so the childish girl voice rang out through the room catching everybody unaware.

"lingling!" Ye weiyang and the still kneelu girl exclaimed as they recognized the voice to belong to their niece.

"lingling is that really you?" Ye jingyi asked again to be sure, she had really felt like killing herself when she couldn't find lingling. Killing herself would've been better than living with her brother if anything had happened to lingling.

"are you okay? we've been looking for you where did you run off to? are you with someone? are you hurt?" Ye weiyang asked all the question he had been thinking of in one go, he had been really worried cause if things had continued like that he can't start to imagine what his brother could have done.

"mmm" when he heard the one syllabled answer he sighed in relief cause it only confirmed that she was okay. He had asked so many questions but she gave one reply... that's typical Ye haoran's daughter.

"where are you?" Ye haoran finally spoke, there was now a sign of warmth on his formally frosty face, even the cold pressure from before vanished into thin air like it was never really there.

"reception" She replied then cut the call, everybody in the conference room stood and followed The stoic faced boss as he walked out of the room, they could finally release the breath they have been holding, the most relieved person at that moment was Ye jingyi cause although her brother still haven't forgiven her at least that had found lingling and she could even have lingling plead on her behalf too.

As everyone reached the reception they noticed a small child sitting at the roll of chairs not too far from the receptionist, all the minor staffs were shocked to see their big boss and all the big shots in the company walk up to a small kid.

The receptionist was even more shocked to see that the CEO had really walked towards the child, she had not believed Yu Xiao Yan when she asked her to watch over the child that the owner of the business card would come and pick the kid up. She was even prepared to call the police and report that she had found a missing kid, not knowing the kid was really the boss's child!

Yu Xiao Yan had left immediately the kid had made the phone call but she didn't forget to inform the receptionist that they had called the person she wanted to see and he was going to come take the child, she knew fully well the receptionist lady didn't believe her but since she was sure the man was coming so she had no qualms with leaving the child at the reception.

"who brought you here?" He used his eyes to scan through the little girl body to see if she was really fine or if she had been injured.

"A lady" Ye meiling gave a short answer not mind I to add any explanation.

Ye haoran could have guessed what happened so he didn't ask any further, he called the chauffeur to send the little girl and his sister home as he was not through with his work in the office.

when he got back to his office before he resumed any of his pending work he asked his brother to play the video of the security camera in the reception. He furrowed his brows as he looked at the image of the girl that had walked into the company with lingling.

he couldn't help but think 'This resemblance? why did she look so much as that... that girl? could it be?'
