"No need. My grandma will pay," the little tyrant said, driving Oscar closer to madness for the umpteenth time.

But Oscar's laugh didn't last long when he saw Luciana moving towards him and trying to wake him up by kicking her. He just caught her leg surprising her. 


Oscar acted like he was not conscious, but he was observing her every action. How could he not? 


He has a different opinion of her but as time passed, he started getting intrigued by her. It took him time to understand his feelings or thoughts or opinions for her. 


Oscar knew this woman was different from other women, but he loved to tag her in the category of gold diggers from the start. Maybe because all the women he saw were gold diggers but definitely she was not. 


No matter how hurt she was, she dealt with his son calmly. She kept her anger in check and even 'educated' him to take care of his son properly. 


And the most intriguing part of her was… her son liked her. The other thing which he badly want to not agree on was that… his son started talking from the time she came in! He no longer buried himself in the game room. He started talking with his mother. His son and his mother were having a good time with each other. He has to say… Charlie was still not comfortable with others but he started mingling from the time, she came into his son's life. 


No matter how he looked at her, she looked like a genuine person. If he keeps these things aside, his son has three new friends. And they were a gang! 


His son started coming out of his introverted shell. He even heard that he went to the principal room and requested him to schedule most of his classes with Luciana. 


Oscar doesn't know if he has to feel happy or sad. Happy that he started talking and mingling with people, sad because he was ignoring his dad for the sake of this woman! 


This woman was both a piece of good news and a piece of bad news. She never offended him wanted, it just so happened that whenever they met… an argument or a fight or something more would happen. 


Now.. or let's say today.., he raped her. The disgust, the hate, the anger, and the repulsion she has towards him was real and raw. That expression was not new to him. It was an expression given by the prey to their predators when they were at their wit ends.

Oscar was so annoyed that there was someone out there who could successfully drug him but also kidnap him! As long as he didn't see this group's dead bodies, he would not sleep in peace. 


"I already sent a signal to my people. They would have already done tracking us. We will get out soon. Don't worry," Oscar said. 


He doesn't know why but he wanted to assure her that they would be safe. And he did! 


"If you didn't break my bracelet previously, I would have done that on my own," Luciana said hatefully. 


No matter how hard she tried to sound soft, and gentle her words betrayed her. She couldn't be soft or gentle with him. 


Maybe because she couldn't. Luciana was still stuck in the rape scenario. She knew she was kidnapped. But she could only imagine herself being raped by the men under this roof as the worst-case scenario of this kidnap. Maybe it was her subconscious way of reminding her that she was almost raped. 


"I am sorry," she heard Oscar's voice. 


Luciana looked in his surprise. She didn't expect a sorry from him.
