Strong

Terrible!!, that was only one of the few words that Wura could have used to describe her situation right now.

She was just tired, angry and upset, she had no plans of something of this such to happen today, and yet here she was in the drawing room with her parents and along with the man that she was sure that she hated the most.

Wura, Lawrence, Ireti, and finally Liam were in the drawing room of the Scot's residence and Wura did not like the situation right now one bit.

"Duke and Duchess Scot, please accept my sincerest apologies for this sudden meeting" said Liam as he apologized, he knew that it was not proper to meet in such hasty conditions, but he could not wait any longer.

"It is no trouble your highness" said Lawrence as he smiled.

"It is an honour to have you in our humble home your highness" said Ireti as she bowed her head.

"Thank you both" said Liam as he smiled, he wanted to make a good first impression with his in laws.

Wura scoffed internally, she hated his bright smile, it made her almost forget for a moment that he was a scoundrel, a womanizer, who just used women like toys and then he dumped them.

Wura did not make any attempt to hide her displeasure at all, she folded her hands across her chest and she did not even greet Liam, she was not going to pretend like she wanted him to be here.

But to her dismay it seemed like no one was paying attention to her, or so she thought.

"She really does not want me here" said Liam as he laughed to himself, the frown on Wura's face and the fact that she did not hide the fact that she wanted nothing to do with him made him laugh, he found her cute like that.

"*Ahem*" said Liam as he cleared his throat.

"Duke and Duchess Scot, I hope that you both are aware that I am interested in your daughter, and I want to ask for her hand in marriage" said Liam, even though he sounded very confident, he was nervous on the inside, he had never had to ask for someone's hand in marriage before, and the thought of rejected scared him a little.

But he had made sure to make himself ready for any outcome, he had called Lady Marli a few days ago to ask her to inform him of all Wyverdale's traditions in asking for a woman's hand in marriage, and boy were there a lot of them.

Liam decided to skip all the formalities and move to his goal, which was to have Wura's hand in marriage, she had piqued his interest and that was more than enough for him.

"Which is why today, in front of the both of you, I ask for your daughter, Lady Diwura Lily Scot's hand in marriage" said Liam as he looked at both Lawrence and Ireti intently.

Ireti looked at Lawrence and Lawrence looked at Ireti, the prince was very forward, and they seemed to know this fact since today, they were called for a meeting in the castle, where they were met in surprise by the Prince as they did not know that he had already returned from the North.

And Liam did not want to delay things any further, so he asked if he could come to their home, and they agreed, and hence why they were all here today.

Lawrence looked at Wura, and he could tell from the expression on her face that she wanted him to reject the offer, but she would not say it herself, and he too wanted to reject the offer.

"*Ahem*, well you see your highness" said Lawrence as he cleared his throat and he looked at Liam.

"About this matter, I would like too..." said Lawrence.

"Wait" said Ireti as she held Lawrence's hand and he looked at her.

"What is it my dear?" asked Lawrence as he turned to look at Ireti.

Ireti moved closer to him and she whispered something in his ear that no one else could hear.

"Well alright then, go ahead" he said.

"Wura" called Ireti as she looked at Wura.

"Yes mother" said Wura as she sat up straight and she looked at her mother.

"Kilode ti o ke fe omo alade?" asked Ireti as she switched to a language only she and Wura could understand.

"Why do you not want to marry the prince?"

"Mother, ko da fun mi" replied Wura as she switched to another dialect

"Mother he is not good for me"

"Ko da rara, oma ba orisisris obirin sun" said Wura with anger.

"He is not good at all, he sleeps different women"

"Iyen da, amo kilode ti iwo ko sun fun u pe funarare" said Ireti

"Those reasons are good, but why did you not tell him that yourself?"

While the women were having their secret conversation, Lawrence and Liam were just there, Liam smiled.

"It seems that there are more things that I need to know about Lady Diwura" said Liam to himself, he had never heard this language being spoken in Wyverdale before, it made him more curious about Wura and who exactly she was.

"Da mi lohun" said Ireti as she was angry, Wura did not reply to her question.

"Answer me!"

"Se o mọ pe ipo yii le fa iṣoro nla fun baba rẹ?" said Ireti.

"Do you know that this could cause your father a big problem?"

"Mo mo" replied Wura.

"I know"

"Lẹhinna sọ idi ti o fi fi ara pamọ fun mi?" asked Ireti

"Then tell me why you are hiding away"

"Mother I.. I" said Wura.

"O kini?" asked Ireti as Wura went quiet.

"You what?"

"Kini mo nigbagbogbo sọ?" asked Ireti.

"What do I always say?"

"Obirni gbodo ni agbara" said Wura as she bowed her head down.

"A woman must always be strong"

"O da" said Ireti

"Exactly"

"Nitorina o gbọdọ yanju iṣoro yii funrararẹ" said Ireti.

"So you must solve this problem for yoursel"

"Se mo ye mi?" asked Ireti.

"Am I clear?"

"Beeni mother" said Wura as she nodded her head.

"Yes mother" she said.

Wura was sad, but she knew that her mother was right, she could not keep hiding, she would end up causing problems for everyone around her and she did not want that, so she came to the conclusion of what she needed to do.

"Good" said Ireti as she switched back to English, she nodded her head and she rested back in the chair.

"Sorry for the delay your highness" said Ireti as she looked at Liam.

"It is no bother Duchess Scot" said Liam.

"Lawrence Wura would like to say something" said Ireti as she looked at Lawrence.

"You would?" asked Lawrence as he looked at Wura.

"Yes father" said Wura as she looked up and nodded her head.

"Your highness" said Wura as she turned to look at Liam.

Liam was very expectant of what she was about to say, even though she did not show it, he was waiting earnestly for her, this was the first time she had spoken to him since he arrived here.

"I have reached a decision" she said as she looked at him.

"And I will..." she said carefully.
