Meet her

"Well now my boy, somebody just needs to go to the east and propose this offer for them" said Alaric.

"We currently have the upper hand, seeing as the east are not aware that we are in dire need for iron" said Alaric.

"This fact will make it easier to negotiate without them demanding for more than they need" said Alaric.

"I agree father" said Liam

"And..." said Liam as his father cut him off.

"No, no my boy" said Alaric as he cut Liam off.

"But father I did not even say anything yet" said Liam.

"I know, and you do not have to say anything at all" said Alaric.

"I can tell from the look in your eye that you want to go to the east" said Alaric.

"You know me well father" said Liam as he smiled.

"Yes I do my boy, and the answer is no" said Alaric as he smiled.

"But why not father??" asked Liam.

"They Kingdom is in need of iron, and we have already a means to provide for the Kingdom, I do not understand why you will not allow me to go" said Liam.

"Because my son, you have just returned from the north, and now you want to get ready to go to the east??" asked Alaric.

"It just is not done" said Alaric.

"But father" said Liam.

"But nothing my boy" said Alaric.

"These are not the type of conditions that you go everywhere" said Alaric.

"You need to consider your health" said Alaric.

"It might be true that you are a young able-bodied, but that does not mean that you should neglect your health" said Alaric.

"We cannot risk you falling sick" said Alaric, he was sure that if Liam had a wife, he would not just go taking off to every single corner of the Kingdom.

"Then who will go and offer trade to the east?" asked Liam as he sighed, he knew his father was right, but it was a habit of his to always jump to assist.

"My boy there are many more than capable men that we can sent to the east" said Alaric.

"You are not going anywhere this time" said Alaric as he put his foot down, Liam knew that it was an order, and he could not disobey his father the king.

"I will send one of the royal messengers to the east to propose the idea of trade" said Alaric.

"That would work father" said Liam.

"Yes it will, and there will be no need for you to go anywhere" said Alaric.

"I am sure that if I allowed you, you would end up going to every corner of Wyverdale" said Alaric as he laughed.

"That is not true Father" said Liam as he laughed.

"I would only go to the places where I am needed" said Liam.

"Mhmm, for some reason my boy, I do not have the slightest faith in your statement at all" said Alaric.

"Oh very funny Father" said Liam as he laughed.

"I am sure that if you had a wife to look after, your mind would not wander to always leaving the capital of the kingdom" said Alaric as he laughed.

"Speaking on the matter of wives" said Liam.

"Father I have good tidings for you" said Liam as he smiled.

"Oh do tell me my boy" said Alaric as he wondered what good news Liam had for him.

"I ventured to meet the parents of my betrothed and ask for the hand of the maiden who caught my eye, so I could ask for her hand officially" said Liam.

"And to my surprise they agreed" said Liam as he smiled.

"That is wonderful tidings my boy" said Alaric as he smiled.

"Yes father, the wedding will hold in a fortnight" said Liam.

"In a fortnight my boy???" asked Alaric in surprise.

"Yes father" replied Liam.

"My boy is that not a tad too fast?" asked Alaric.

"No father, it is not, were you not just complaining on how if I had a wife I would stay put" said Liam as he laughed.

"And it was not my suggestion, it was her own preference" said Liam, he was not going to rush Wura at all, it was what she wanted to do that they would do.

"This maiden truly does sound intriguing" said Alaric

"Oh yes she is father, she has the most golden skin, the prettiest curly hair I have ever had the chance to behold, and most of all she is a very intelligent woman" said Liam.

"You seem very fond of her" said Alaric.

"You can say that father" said Liam as he laughed he knew that if his father was aware of the circumstances of their meeting he would be much more less pleased.

"Then you must bring her to meet me my boy" said Alaric.

"I would love to meet her" said Alaric.

"And you will meet her Father" said Liam

"I will just have to inform her first" said Liam.

"Well alright then my boy" said Alaric as he smiled, he was looking forward to meeting the woman who drew his son's attention.

"Oh and on that note father, I will require the assistance of Lady Marli" said Liam.

"Because I am very sure that neither of us are aware of how to plan a wedding" said Liam as he laughed.

"You are correct about that my son" said Alaric as he laughed.

"I am sure that your mother would have been more than delighted to plan your wedding" said Alaric as he started feeling sad.

"Yes father, I think so too" said Liam.

"But she will be proud of you" said Alaric.

"She will be very proud of the brave man you have become" said Alaric a he smiled brightly.

"Thank you father" said Liam as he smiled sadly.

There was not a single day that went by, that Alaric did not miss his dear lovely wife.
