Three days left

"*Ahem*" said Liam as he cleared his throat.

"Duke and Duchess Scot, I hope that you are both aware of the tradition of the bride arriving to reside in the Castle five days prior to the wedding in order for her to become comfortable and get used to her new home" said Liam.

"Which means that Lady Diwura would have to move to the Castle five days prior to the wedding, in order for some matters that have not been settled to be settled, and also for some other things that need to be carried out" said Liam.

Lawrence and Ireti both looked at each other, they had forgotten about that tradition, well they could not blame themselves, it had been a long time since there was a royal wedding, and most of all these pre wedding traditions were basically forgotten.

"Yes, we are aware" said Ireti as she looked at Lawrence as he was too deep in thought to speak, and Ireti knew why he was that way and what he was thinking about.

This meant that they both only had three days with their daughter, till she would be going away for good, this was hard for both Lawrence and Ireti, they at least thought that they would have some more time with her, but the day was getting closer, and they were dreading it.

"I hope that Lady Diwura is also aware of this" said Liam as he looked at both Ireti and Lawrence.

"Well she is not your highness, but I will make sure to inform her" said Ireti as she smiled at Liam.

"I see, please do, because I do not want any misunderstandings between us" said Liam.

"And neither do we" said Ireti as she looked at Liam.

"Is there a problem??" asked Liam as he could sense that something was off, the atmosphere in the room had changed, and Lawrence was very quiet.

Liam was in no rush to do things, but he was charged with the problem of being accused of not following tradition.

In Wyverdale Wedding traditions in the Royal family basically followed the same course, the bride would be chosen, there would be a formal enquiry made between the families of both parties, the bride price would be paid, and then the official wedding ceremony would follow.

So in retrospect Liam and Wura were basically married already, if it was a marriage between casual citizens if Wyverdale, after the bride price was paid, the couple were officially married, there was no need for a wedding ceremony, but because Liam was the prince he would not be able to do so.

Which was why he had to follow tradition and Wura had to move to the Palace immediately so that the remaining wedding preparations could be completed and they could hold the wedding in peace.

"No... no your highness, there is no problem at all" said Ireti as she smiled.

"Duke Scot... you do not seemed pleased" said Liam as he turned to look at Lawrence who had been quiet for a while now.

"*Ahem*,No... no your highness" said Lawrence as he snapped out of his thoughts and he cleared his throat.

"It is not that I am not pleased, it is just that I had thought that we would have more time to spend with Wura" said Lawrence as he turned to look at Ireti and she nodded.

"You see your highness, Wura is my only daughter" said Lawrence as he turned to look at Liam.

"She is our only daughter, and our only child" said Lawrence as he looked at Ireti.

"It is not an easy task to let her go like that, for us, it was just like she was born yesterday" said Lawrence as he smiled.

As much as he wanted to let go, he just could not, he was marrying off his only child and daughter, he loved her with his whole heart and soul, and it was very difficult for him to come to terms with her getting married, and very early for that matter.

"I understand Duke Scot, there is no need to explain to me" said Liam.

"I am also the only child and son of my father, and he also finds it difficult to let me go just anywhere" said Liam as he smiled.

"Ahh your highness, his majesty is also a very loving father" said Lawrence as he smiled and Ireti smiled too.

"I am aware of that" said Liam as he smiled.

"Which is why I do not blame you at all" said Liam.

"I do not have any intention of taking your daughter away from you" said Liam.

"If it was up to me to decide I would allow her to stay here with you till the wedding" said Liam.

"But alas, it is not up to me" said Liam.

"But I can promise you that you will of course be more than welcome to come and visit her whenever you deem fit" said Liam as he smiled.

"We appreciate that your highness" said Lawrence as he smiled.

"You may even stay in the Castle if it pleases you to do so" said Liam as he smiled.

"You will of course be more than welcome" said Liam.

"We appreciate your generous offer your highness, but we would decline" said Lawrence as he looked at Ireti.

"This is our home" said Ireti.

"I moved here to stay with my husband and Wura must do the same" said Ireti as she smiled.

If there was one thing that Liam had noticed about Duchess Scot, it was that she was a principled woman, she was a woman of principle, Liam could see it in her eyes, and with the way she interacted with him.

And on top of her principles Liam could see that she was a very strict woman, from the little that Wura had told him about her, she was a stern woman, who's no was no and her yes would be yes.

Liam could see some similarities between Duke and Duchess Scot and his own father, it was as if his father took both qualities and he merged them along with his authority as King to raise Liam.

"I appreciate your honesty Duchess Scot" said Liam as he smiled.

It was no more a wonder to him why Wura was the way she was, he was sure that she was a child nurtured in a loving home, with loving parents, but despite their love there were rules and discipline.

Liam was sure that there were some things that Wura would never do, she always behaved herself, or at least with other people, because she was always very rude with him, and she was a very smart woman, she would always say what was on her mind, and she was a quick thinker.

Those were the things that Liam admired about her most, although her rudeness had no bounds, as smart and as cultured as she was, she could insult him in ways that he never thought were even possible.

"Thank you your highness" said Ireti as she smiled.

"Umm Duchess Scot, I would require your assistance with something" said Liam as he seemed to remember something.

"Oh course, what it is your highness?? asked Ireti.

"Well one of the last wedding preparations to be decided would be Lady Diwura's wedding dress" said Liam.

"And I am sure that no one would be able to know her taste better than you her own mother" said Liam.

"So I was wondering if I could send you the designs the seamstress has designed, and you could choose three that would best suite Lady Diwura's taste" said Liam.

"Oh" said Ireti as she was surprised.

"Of course you highness, I would be honoured" said Ireti, she had withdrawn herself a bit, seeing as she was sure that there would be professionals to handle everything concerning the Wedding, but here Liam was asking for her input.

"Great" said Liam as he smiled.

"I shall send you the designs sent to me by the seamstress tomorrow" said Liam.

"That is alright your highness" said Ireti as she smiled and Liam smiled.

These people were soon going to be his new in laws in less than seven days, and they have proved themselves to be trustworthy people, and Liam was more than happy to be associated with them.

"Your highness would you like to stay for dinner??" asked Ireti.

"Oh Thank you for your generous offer" said Liam as he smiled.

"I would have loved to, but sadly I cannot" he said.

"There are some important matters I need to attend to at the Castle, and I must be going now" said Liam.

"That is alright your highness, I understand" said Ireti as she smiled.

"I take it that you will not see Wura before you take your leave" said Lawrence.

"Unfortunately I would not be able to see her" said Liam.

"But I will see her later" said Liam as he stood up.

"Alright your highness, please have a safe ride to the Castle" said Lawrence as he smiled and Ireti smiled too.

"Thank you" said Liam as he smiled and he walked away.
