Enlighten

Wura smiled awkwardly, Liam had even stood up to greet her and he had even kissed the back of her hand, she did not know how to feel about this, it was all just too much for her.

Liam smiled and he sat back down, while Wura just stood there looking around for where she should sit, the only seat vacant was the one right beside Liam, and she did not want to sit next to him at all.

"My dear please sit down" said Lawrence as he looked at Wura and Wura turned to look at him and she smiled.

"Alright father" said Wura.

"Go and, sit down my dear" said Tessa as she smiled and she gestured that she sit right next to Liam.

Wura sighed silently, she had no other choice than to sit with Liam, she was sure that she looked very stupid at that point, but she sat down anyway.

"I hope that you will enjoy what I have prepared for dinner today your highness" said Ireti as she smiled and she looked at Liam as Beatrice brought out the final dishes to the dining table, she and Alessia were the only ones on duty today since all the other maids were dismissed.

"Oh I am sure that I will" said Liam.

"Lady Tessa has not ceased to tell me on how wonderful your food tastes" said Liam as he smiled and he turned to look at Tessa as she smiled right back at him as she looked at Ireti.

"Shall we dig in??" asked Ireti as Beatrice finished serving everyone and she bowed her head and walked away to the kitchen.

"Yes" said Ireti as she smiled.

"Please bless the food Tessa" said Lawrence as he turned to look at Tessa because he knew that she would have asked to do it.

"Of course" said Tessa as she smiled.

As Tessa blessed the food all Wura could think of was that after this night, her whole life would change, she could not even enjoy her last meal with her family because this Prince was here, and of course she had to behave polite and nice to him.

"Amen" said Tessa.

"Amen" said everyone else as as they smiled and Wura snapped out of her thoughts and she began to eat her food like everyone else.

"I must say that this is very delicious" said Liam as he ate the rice.

"I am very glad that you think so your highness" said Ireti as she smiled.

"You see, I told you that my dear Reti is a marvelous cook" said Tessa as she turned to Liam as she smiled, as he smiled back at her.

"That she is" said Liam as he smiled, he had never tasted food as delicious as this, he never expected a Duchess to cook, and much more even less for her food to be delicious, not that he was trying to insult anyone, but most Duchesses were more concerned with their image as a Duchess that they never bothered themselves with simple things such as this.

To tell the truth it had been a very long time since he had tasted a home cooked meal, it felt different... different from the food prepared in the Palace, not that the food of the experienced Palace chefs were not delicious, not it was far from that, but there was just something special about somebody taking time out of their busy day to prepare food for you, the mere thought just made Liam smile.

"Wura my dear, is something wrong?" asked Lawrence as he turned to look at Wura, she was not her usual self and he could sense that.

"Oh, No father, everything is alright" said Wura as she smiled.

"I just feel a bit sick, that is all, but it is nothing serious really, only a minor headache" said Wura as she smiled.

"I will be fine, do not worry" said Wura.

"Alright my dear, if you say so" said Lawrence as he smiled and Wura turned to look at Tessa who was looking at her worriedly and she smiled at her.

"Your highness, tell us something about yourself" said Tessa as Richard poured water in her glass for her.

"Something like what Lady Tessa??" asked Liam as he laughed, he had no idea what to say about himself, expect for he was a Prince, and also a commander, there was really nothing special about him.

"Tell us about your childhood, I am sure that we are al interested to know more about you" said Tessa as she looked at everyone else.

"I must agree with my sister, your highness" said Lawrence as he laughed.

"And so do I" said Ireti as she laughed.

"Oh well alright" said Liam as he sighed in defeat, although he did not know what to tell them, he did not have such a interesting childhood, to be honest he found his childhood rather boring.

"Alright" said Liam as he finally thought of something interesting.

"When I was about the age of ten, I began to become very curious" said Liam.

"So one day I snuck into the kitchen, I do not know why I did so, but I did" said Liam as everyone was listening to him intently.

"And I happened to overhear the cooks discussing about a magical ingredient that would cause one to fly" said Liam.

"I happened to hear one of the cooks mention the name of the ingredient, and once everyone had left the kitchen I stayed behind to look for the ingredient, to my luck, I happened to find it, and I ended up eating the entire bottle of the powdery substance" said Liam.

"My father was in a meeting, so I was left alone, so I snuck out of the Castle and I climbed up a tree to test If I could fly" said Liam.

"But alas for me, I obviously could not fly, and I ended up hurting myself, and I went crying to my father" said Liam.

"As I cried, the first thing my father asked me, was why I smelt badly of ginger" said Liam as he laughed and everyone else laughed, even Wura just had to snicker, the almighty Prince Liam, believed that eating pure ginger would make him fly??? It was just too hilarious.

"Your highness, ginger of all things??" asked Tessa as she was laughing.

"I sincerely do not know what I was thinking at point in that time" said Liam as he laughed.

"It seemed like you were a very adventurous boy" said Wura as for once she turned to look at Liam and speak to him this evening.

"Oh I still am, but everything must be done in moderation, do you not think so?" asked Liam as he turned to look at Wura and he smiled at her.

"I believe that you are right" said Wura as she cleared her throat and she went back to looking at her food.

"Well you are not the only one with an adventurous spirit your highness" said Lawrence as he smiled.

"That is true brother, our dear Wura here has had her own fair share of silly adventures" said Tessa as she laughed and Wura shook her head no, and when Liam turned to look at her, she smiled sweetly.

"Do you remember that time that she tried to ride the horse you got for her birthday??" asked Tessa as she laughed.

"Oh please do not remind me of that Tessa, I almost had a heart attack" said Ireti as she sighed.

"Oh Ireti, she was alright in the end" said Lawrence as he laughed.

"Your highness, what happened was that our dear Wura also snuck out of the house to go riding her new pony" said Tessa as she laughed.

"Yes, I am well aware of that, she told me herself" said Liam as he turned to look at Wura with a smile, and she smiled back at him with a little smile.

Wura did not find this fair, this was not fair at all, they were only supposed to listen to Liam talk about himself, and not bring up her own adventures, because they all would end up laughing at her.

"Why do you not tell us more about yourself your highness??" asked Wura as she looked at Liam with a smile.

"I am afraid that I have nothing more" said Liam.

"How about you enlighten me on more of your many adventures?" asked Liam as he looked at Wura, he wanted to know more about her.

"No, no your highness, we want to know more about you" said Wura as she kept on smiling.

"We, or you??" asked Liam just enough that only both of them could hear.

"Oh you know that I mean we your highness" said Wura as she smiled.

To the others it looked like Liam and Wura were involved in some sort of banter between lovers, and it made Lawrence smile to know that his daughter was getting along with the prince.

"*Ahem*" said Ireti as she cleared her throat.

"It is time for desert, and I am sure you will like it Lawrence" said Ireti as she turned to Lawrence as she smiled and she stood up.

"Carrot Cake!!" said Lawrence, Tessa and Wura as they all laughed, while Liam just sat there wondering what was going on.

"Carrot cake happens to be my father's favourtie desert your highness" said Wura as she turned to Liam and she smiled as she saw the confusion on his face.

"Oh... that makes more sense" said Liam as he wondered what could make them cheer happily like that.

"So what is your favorite desert??" asked Liam as he ceased the opportunity to learn more about Wura.

"Let us just say that I am the daughter of my father" said Wura as she smiled as Ireti walked in with the carrot cake and Liam smiled.
