Gold Pendent

"I love you father" said Wura as she smiled, she had gotten an answer for her question, now she could make a better judgement.

"And I love you as well my dear" said Lawrence as he smiled at her lovingly.

"Oooh father, do you know that mother is making desert for dinner this evening?" asked Wura as she smiled.

"Oh is that so?" asked Lawrence as he was surprised.

"Yes Father, his highness said that he was looking forward to what she would prepare" said Wura as she laughed happily.

"Oh and so do I, what is she preparing?" asked Lawrence as his hopes were already going high.

"I have no idea at all father, she refused to tell any of us anything at all" said Wura as she shook her head.

"Well then my dear, that means that her desert will be simply delicious" said Lawrence as he laughed.

"Oh that you are right about father" said Wura as she laughed, her father and mother both had many important roles in her life.

"Well Father, I shall leave you to continue in you search" said Wura as she smiled and she stood up.

"Alright then my dear, I shall see you later" said Lawrence as he smiled.

"Goodbye Father" said Wura as she smiled at him.

"Goodbye my dear" said Lawrence as he smiled at her as she walked away and she left the records office.

"My Princess, you have returned??" asked Nora as she entered Wura's room and she saw Wura sitting down at her dressing table.

"Ahh yes I have Nora" said Wura as she smiled, luckily for her, the way to the records office was very close to her room, so she was able to come back to her room with no worry of getting lost at all.

"Was your father in the records office?" asked Nora.

"Yes he was Nora, thank you for asking" said Wura as she smiled.

"My princess I have informed Lady Marli that you have invited her for teatime at noon tomorrow, and she looked forward to meeting you" said Nora as she nodded her head.

"Ahhh well that is great news, I look forward to meeting her as well" said Wura as she smiled, she had figured that Lady Marli was a very important woman in the Castle.

"My Princess shall I make a suggestion??" asked Nora.

"Of course go ahead" said Wura as she smiled.

"My Princess, which type of tea is your favourite?" asked Nora.

"Ah, well I do not really like tea Nora, so I do not have a favourite" said Wura as she smiled, she was rather a grape wine lover, she loved the taste of freshly squeezed grapes.

"Oh well my princess, Lady Marli loves tea, and her favourite blend is rose and hawthorn tea" said Nora.

"Oh… that sounds like an… interesting blend" said Wura as she had never heard of such a blend of tea before, but it did sound like a very interesting blend of tea.

"Oh it is my princess, Lady Marli says it has many health benefits, and the aroma of the tea is simply calming" said Nora.

"So I would suggest that the blend of tea you offer her be that blend" said Nora.

"Well I do agree with you since she loves that blend, but I do not know where I can get such access to that blend" said Wura as she seemed to be thinking.

"Not to worry my princess, there is more than enough of rose petals and hawthorn stored in the Castle's pantry" said Nora.

"I will be more than happy to prepare it for you" said Nora as she smiled.

"Why thank you Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"I truly do appreciate all your advice" said Wura as she smiled, what would she have done without Nora?

"It is my duty to serve you my princess" said Nora as she smiled and she bowed her head and in that moment there was a knock on Wura's room door.

"I shall open the door my princess" said Nora as she nodded her head and she walked to the door and she opened the door.

"Good Morrow your Majesty" said Nora as she bowed down to the ground.

"Good Morrow" said Alaric with a smile.

"You may rise" said Alaric.

"Thank you your Majesty" said Nora as she nodded her head and she stood up.

"Your Majesty, I did not expect you" said Wura as she smiled and she stood up to curtsey to Alaric.

"There is no need for all those formalities my dear" said Alaric as he smiled and Wura smiled at him.

"I am here to speak to you my dear" said Alaric as he smiled.

"Alright your Majesty" said Wura as she smiled and she nodded her head.

"I shall excuse myself" said Nora as she bowed and she left the room and closed the door behind her.

"Well my dear, during the course of this morning, I had realized that I did not give you a wedding gift" said Alaric as he laughed.

"Oh your Majesty, that is not a problem at all" said Wura as she laughed.

"How can I dare expect to receive a gift from you, when you have treated me with such love and kindness?" asked Wura as she smiled, she was very grateful to Alaric.

"Ahh my dear, but you do deserve a gift" said Alaric as he smiled.

"Which is why I decided to give you something" said Alaric as he smiled and he walked closer to Wura.

"This is a very special pendant, it holds a very special place in my heart" said Alaric as he smiled and he took Wura's hand and he placed a gold chain pendant with a heart in her hand.

"Oh it is very beautiful your Majesty" said Wura as she looked at the pendant, it looked very shiny, and the designs on the heart were very intricate.

"I am very sorry your Majesty, but I cannot accept this… this is just too much" said Wura as she looked at Alaric and she shook her head.

"Oh but you can my dear, it is a gift from me to you, and I want you to have it" said Alaric as Wura was still reluctant to accept it.

"You are now my daughter, I consider you my daughter as the wife of my son, and I want you to have this pendant as a token on my affection for you" said Alaric as he smiled.

"I…I do not know what to say your Majesty" said Wura as she still felt like she could not accept it.

"You do not need to say anything my dear" said Alaric as he smiled.

"Let me put it on for you" said Alaric as he smiled and he took the pendant and walked behind Wura as he put it around her neck.

Wura looked down at the pendant, she did not feel like she deserved this at all.

"Thank you your Majesty" said Wura as she smiled at Alaric.

"You are welcome my dear" said Alaric.

"The pendant looks good on you" he said as he smiled, and Wura smiled at him.

"Well my dear, I have to go now, I shall see you at dinner" said Alaric as he smiled.

"See you your Majesty… and thank you once again" said Wura as she smiled and Alaric smiled at her as he left the room.

A few moment later Nora entered back into the room.

"Oh my princess" said Nora.

"His Majesty gifted me a pendant Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"It looks very nice on you my princess" said Nora as she smiled, it was like the gold pendant was made for her, it suited her skin colour.

"Thank you Nora" said Wura as she smiled

Later that Evening.

Everyone was together in the dining room eating dinner together, the atmosphere was happy and lively as they discussed as they ate.

"*Ahem*" said Lawrence as he cleared his throat and everyone turned to look at him.

"Everyone we have an announcement to make" said Lawrence as he looked at Ireti and he smiled as he held her hand and she smiled at him.

"Your Majesty, we just want to say that we are grateful for everything you have done for us, you have invited us into your Castle, and you have treated us like family" said Lawrence as he smiled and Wura smiled.

"Well that is because you are family" said Alaric as he smiled and Liam smiled too.

"We will be leaving for the plains early tomorrow morning" said Lawrence.

"We still have some unfinished matters to tend to over there" said Lawrence as he looked at Ireti and he smiled.

Wura smiled, even though she felt a little sad, but it was understandable, she had sent a letter to her parents when this all started, and that was why they left everything they were doing in the plains to come and support her, and now that they wanted to leave, she could not help but feel sad, she wanted them to stay a bit longer with her.

"Ahhh well that is no problem at all, we wish you the safest of journeys" said Alaric as he smiled.

"And we shall also be returning home tomorrow, we have left all the servants alone" said Richard as he spoke up and he smiled.

"Oh I do surely wish that you all could have stayed longer, but regardless, you are always welcome here" said Alaric as he smiled.

"Thank you your Majesty" said Lawrence, Ireti, Tessa and Richard as they all smiled.

"Well let us not be sad, I have prepared an apple tart for desert this evening" said Ireti as Lawrence let go of her hand and a maid brought an apple tart into the dining room and she placed it on the dining table and she cut out a piece for everyone as she placed it on their plates and she bowed and walked away.

"I hope that you all enjoy it" said Ireti as she smiled and Alaric smiled as he took his spoon and he tasted the apple tart.

"Duchess Scot, this has to be by far the best apple tart that I have tasted in my entire life" said Alaric as he smiled and everyone laughed.

"I am happy that you think so your majesty" said Ireti as she smiled and everyone ate this desert as they smiled.

There was nothing better than good food, light talking and the right people to make you feel right at home.

"Your mother makes the best deserts, and I can testify to that" said Liam as he whispered in Wura's ears.

"I told you so" said Wura as she laughed.
