Afraid of falling

After breakfast, Wura cleared the table as she washed out the dishes, it was nothing new for her, she used to do that all the time back home, her mother would insist that a true lady knew hew way around the kitchen, and not just outside it, Wura dried her hands with a cloth, as she had made sure to keep the kitchen very clean.

"Are you ready?" asked Liam as he walked into the kitchen as Wura was drying her hands.

"Well yes your highness, I am" said Wura as she hung the cloth on a wooden pole where the aprons of the maids were hung.

"Alright then, we can go to the market now" said Liam as he smiled, to him, this would be the first time he and Wura went out to a public affair.

"Alright your highness" said Wura.

"But wait?? Did you not say that you did not want people to know of our presence?" asked Wura as she just happened to remember what Liam had said.

"Ahh well yes, that is true" said Liam as he wanted a bit of privacy for now, because once the people of Cornwalk were alerted of his arrival, they would storm the Castle with gifts and well wishes, and as his father had said, he had sent he and Wura here to relax, so for now, he did not want anyone to know that they had arrived.

"Well then, that means that going to the market would contend with that wish" said Wura.

"Well not to worry, we do not have to show our faces, we can hide them" said Liam as he smiled, this was something he had never done before, hide his face?? Because mostly everyone knew him.

"With what?" asked Wura as she felt like Liam had been waiting for the day to come where he would be able to hide his face.

"We can wear cloaks, that way, it would make it harder for people to recognize us" said Liam as he smiled.

"Well you seem to have thought of everything your highness" said Wura as she laughed, if she was not sure, she would have said that he had planned all this for a while now.

"Well sometimes a little adventure is good" said Liam as he laughed.

"I can see that" said Wura as she smiled.

"So shall we go?" asked Liam as he smiled.

"Alright then" said Wura as she smiled and she followed after Liam.

In the stables.

"Your highness, you seem to forget that I cannot ride a horse" said Wura as she walked after Liam as they entered into the stables and there were many horses in their different stables.

"I do forget, we have to fix that soon" said Liam as he laughed.

"But for now, we will just ride one of the horses" said Liam as he turned to look at Wura, but he heard something that made his brows furrow.

"Who goes there??" asked Liam as he turned around quickly as he heard some footsteps coming from behind one of the stables.

"Ahh, please forgive me your highness, it is I" came the voice of a man as he quickly showed himself and he bowed himself down to the ground.

"Please forgive me your highness, I am aware that you gave the warning to send everyone home, but I had forgotten my leather sack at the Castle, so I came back to collect it" said the coachman as he bowed himself to the ground and he quickly explained himself.

Liam sighed in relief, he had thought that maybe it was a thief or a bandit, and he did not have his sword with him, so he would not be able to protect himself or Wura, but it turned out that it was just the coachman.

"You may rise" said Liam.

"Thank you your highness" said the coachman as he stood up, he had come to collect his leather sack, and well he had heard the prince and princess talking, so he did not want to make his presence known and interrupt them, which was why he had stayed hidden.

"You are very kind" said the coachman as he smiled.

"There is no need for you to thank me" said Liam as he smiled, in fact, everything was working out for him, now that the coachman was here, he no longer had to ride the horse, he would just ask the coachman to take he and Wura to the market.

"Have you gotten your leather sack?" asked Liam as Wura just stood there as she watched Liam talk to the coachman, she found it rather funny that the coachman was so scared of Liam that he began to plead for forgiveness when he had done nothing wrong at all.

"Yes I have your highness, it is right here" said the coachman as he pointed to a leather sack he had tied around his waist.

"Alright then, please ready the Carriage, the Princess and I are going to the market" said Liam.

"Right away your highness, I will do so" said the coachman as he bowed and he rushed to prepare the carriage, the Prince was so generous, he was not even angry at him at all, and that was a huge relief for him.

"The poor man seems terrified of you" said Wura as she laughed and Liam turned to look at her, well he could not blame him, he was very stern in his warning to the Castle workers for them not to return until three days had passed.

"What did you do to him?" asked Wura as she laughed.

"Nothing you need to worry about my dear wife" said Liam as he smiled.

"Since when was I your dear wife?" asked Wura as she raised an eyebrow at him, he was getting too comfortable.

"But you are my wife after all, are you not?" asked Liam as he smiled.

"That may be true, but please your highness, you calling me Wura is already more than enough" said Wura as she laughed, the nicknames he gave to her were always too much, not to even talk about when he called her darling, it was like her heart was on fire, and she did not know if it was a good thing or a bad thing, but it was probably a bad thing, because she has never felt like that before.

"I wonder when you will call me by my name?" asked Liam as he smiled, he had called her by her name many times, but she would not do the same to him.

"I would prefer to stick with calling you your highness, your highness" said Wura as she smiled at him.

"And why is that?" asked Liam as he smiled and he walked closer to her.

"Ahh umm…" said Wura as she paused, the truth was that she did not want to get too close to him, her calling him by his name, made them seem close, and she did not want that at all.

"Is it because…" said Liam as he walked even closer to her and at this point she began to back away until her back hit the wall and she had no where else to retreat to.

"Because you are afraid??" asked Liam with a smirk on his face as he knew that he now had her cornered.

"I am not afraid!" said Wura a she refused him and he leaned in even closer to her.

"Oh you are afraid Wura… afraid of falling" said Liam as in that moment he leaned in closer and he covered her head with the hood of her black cloak as Wura snapped out of her daze, she had thought that he was going to do something more?? Just what was she thinking??

"Your highness, please do not say nonsense" said Wura as she caught a hold of herself and Liam stepped back as he was amused by the upset look on her face.

"I have two sturdy feet, and I do not fall at all" said Wura in seriousness.

"Well sometimes it is good to fall… because someone would be waiting to catch you" said Liam as he smiled.

"I beg to differ your highness" said Wura as she shook her head.

"Why fall, when the certainty of the person who is supposed to catch you is not sure?" said Wura as she looked at him.

"How are you sure that they are not sure?" asked Liam.

"And how are you sure that they are sure?" asked Wura as she looked at him with questions written on her face, they were both talking, and speaking of something else, and Wura did not know if he knew that.

"Because it is a leap of faith" said Liam as he smiled.

"Your highness, I have never been one to take leaps, I take one step after the other, because if you do so, you will be able to retreat before you sink" said Wura.

"And what makes you so sure that you would sink?" asked Liam.

"Because nothing in this life is sure your highness" said Wura.

"Your highnesses the carriage is ready" came the voice of the coachman as he walked into the stables.
