Cannot wait

Wura was all smiles as she walked back to her room happily and she opened the door as she closed it behind her.

"My Queen, you have returned" said Nora as she smiled and she bowed her head.

"Yes I have Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"My Queen, you look very happy" said Nora as she smiled.

"Is it that obvious?" asked Wura as Nora nodded her head and that made Wura laugh, of course she was happy, she was in a joyful mood, who would not be if they were gifted a very beautiful horse.

"Well you are right Nora, I am very happy, far from that, I am overjoyed" said Wura as she smiled and she sat down on her bed.

"Oh…" said Nora as she was surprised, she wondered what happened, Wura had left her room a few hours ago, and when she returned she looked like she was over the moon, and considering that Wura went to meet Liam, she wondered what could have transpired between them to make her this happy.

"May I ask what made you so overjoyed my Queen?" asked Nora in curiosity.

"I will tell you Nora, but first you have to come and sit here beside me" said Wura as she smiled and she patted on the empty spot beside her bed, she did not like it when Nora was always standing, even though Nora never complained, but just to her, it seemed unfair that Nora would stand at all times to listen to her and to serve her.

"Ahh my Queen, I surely cannot do such a thing, that is your bed" said Nora as she shook her head immediately.

"Oh Nora, please do not be like that, I asked you to sit by me, please…" said Wura as she pleaded, she knew that Nora did not like it when she pleaded with her, so she was sure that her doing so would make Nora do what she asked.

"My Queen, please do not beg me" said Nora as she looked at Wura.

"Pleaseee Nora, I beg you" said Wura as she begged and Nora sighed as she had no other choice and she sat down beside Wura, even though she looked very uncomfortable.

"Thank you Nora" said Wura as she smiled and she gave Nora a hug which caught Nora off guard, but by now, she was supposed to start getting used to these things, Wura was very affectionate with those she loved.

"You are welcome my Queen" said Nora as she could not help but smile, the Queen was like a child who was friendly and nice to everyone, and that made her very loveable.

"So, do you want to know why I am so happy?" asked Wura as she smiled, she was dying to tell Nora.

"Yes my Queen" said Nora as she nodded her head.

"Well his Majesty bought me a horse" said Wura in joy.

"He did?" asked Nora in surprise.

"Yes he did, he bought me a very beautiful horse, who is also a very good boy, his name is Ayo, he is so gentle, and calm" said Wura as she sounded in love as she was talking about her new horse.

"His Majesty is really generous my Queen" said Nora.

"Oh he is Nora, at first I had thought that he called me to the stables to annoy me, or embarrass me, but he actually surprised me, he bought me a horse, I have always wanted a horse, ever since I was a little girl, and now, I have a horse, I am so happy Nora, so, so happy" said Wura as she hugged Nora again.

"I am glad that you are happy my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and Wura finally let go of her.

"Thank you Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"The only problem now is that I do not know how to ride a horse, I never learnt how to" said Wura.

"My Queen, how will you ride your new horse then?" asked Nora, she as well did not know how to ride a horse, and quite frankly she preferred to stay on the ground, those animals terrified her, and she was also afraid of heights.

"Well his Majesty has said that he will teach me how to ride a horse" said Wura as she smiled.

"He will??" asked Nora in surprise.

"Yes he will, he said that he will teach me tomorrow" said Wura as she nodded her head excitedly, there was just something so thrilling about riding a horse, it made her feel powerful, sort of in a way.

"Oh Nora, I cannot wait" said Wura.

"My Queen, is his Majesty not very busy?" asked Nora as she just had to ask, she did not know if she was the only one that thought that Liam leaving all his duties just to teach Wura how to ride a horse.

"I also asked him that same question Nora, but his Majesty assured me that he will not be busy at all" said Wura as she smiled.

"He even said that… *Ahem*… that he will always have time for me, or something along that line" said Wura as she smiled and she cleared her throat.

"Ahh… I see my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and she nodded her head.

"What do you see Nora, what are you trying to insinuate?" asked Wura as laughed.

"No, nothing my Queen, please do not mind me" said Nora as she smiled and she bowed her head.

"No, no, Nora, I know that you are thinking of something, please tell me what it is" said Wura as she laughed.

"Believe me my Queen, it is nothing important" said Nora.

"Hmm" said Wura as she did not believe Nora one bit.

"My Queen, did you not say earlier, that you would like to wash your hair?" asked Nora as she changed the subject.

"Well yes, I did, but that will be after dinner" said Wura as she smiled, she knew what Nora was trying to do, but she would let her get away with it this time, after all, Nora was only just starting to be very comfortable around her to voice out her own thoughts.

"Alright my Queen, please excuse me, I will need to get the oils to wash your hair" said Nora as she smiled and she stood up.

"But can that not wait Nora?" asked Wura.

"Well no my Queen, I must go and check the oils that we have currently in the Castle, and if some are finished, then I must ask one of the maids to go to the market and buy some more" said Nora as she explained.

"Ah… I see Nora" said Wura as she nodded her head.

"Well okay then, you may go" said Wura as she smiled.

"Thank you my Queen, I shall return soon" said Nora as she smiled and she bowed her head.

"Mhmm" said Wura as she smiled and Nora walked out of the room as she closed the door behind her while Wura could not wait for tomorrow to come.

In the evening.

"Good Evening Uncle Nigel" said Wura as she was all smiles as she walked into the dining room.

"Good Evening Wura" said Nigel as he smiled.

"Good Evening your Majesty" said Wura as she looked at Liam and she smiled at him as she sat down beside him.

"Good Evening Wura" said Liam as he smiled, he could sense that she was very happy, he wondered if that could be because of his surprise of buying her a horse, that could not possibly be it, that was hours ago, she could not possibly be still overjoyed about that.

"My dear, you seem very radiant this evening, did something happen?" asked Nigel as he smiled, he could tell that Wura was very happy, she had it written boldly across her face.

"Oh Uncle, yes I am, and it is because his Majesty got me a horse" said Wura in joy as Liam looked amused, she was like a child, she was so happy still because of the horse he had bought for her.

"Oh is that so now?" asked Nigel as he smiled.

"Yes Uncle, he did, and I just love the horse, I named him Ayo" said Wura as she smiled and Nigel looked at Liam.

"That is wonderful dear" said Nigel as he smiled and he looked at his nephew.

"Well I did say that I would teach her how to ride a horse, so I thought what better time than now?" asked Liam as he smiled and Wura looked at him with a smile, she totally agreed with him, in all honesty, she could not wait for tomorrow to come, it was like she was a little girl again, one that just adored horses.

"That was very thoughtful of you Liam" said Nigel as he smiled.

"She is my wife after all… whatever makes her happy, makes me happy as well" said Liam as he smiled and he looked at Wura as Wura looked at him, she could promise you that her heart skipped a beat, why had Liam been so different ever since this morning.

"Ahh well you young ones can enjoy your outing, I am sure that some alone time would do you both some good" said Nigel as he smiled and he winked as Liam and Wura turned to look at him and Wura shied away.

"Oh Uncle it is not like that at all…" said Wura as she did not even know what she was saying.

"Uncle, not everyone is as mischievous as my Father" said Liam as he laughed.

"Well can you blame me Liam?" asked Nigel as he laughed.

"Your Father, well he was very mischievous, especially when he was still a young man" said Nigel as he laughed.

"Whenever he came over to visit my sister, he would sneak around and ask me to cover for him, seeing as they ran away from the guards" said Nigel as he laughed and Liam laughed.

"It got even worse when they were married, Alaric would run away with your dear mother, to secret places, where no one would find them" said Nigel as he laughed and Wura smiled.

"One day, they were even found in the stables, please do not ask me doing what, because I am sure you know quite what they were doing" said Nigel as Liam laughed and Wura could not help but laugh, of all the things, why in the stables?

"Ahh" said Nigel as he smiled, he loved remembering this fond memories.

"That is Love In its simplest form, spending very moment of every day with the one whom you love" said Nigel as he smiled and Wura smiled as Liam looked at her and he smiled.

"I did not know that you were a poet Uncle" said Wura as she laughed.

"Well I do dabble in it a bit my dear" said Nigel as he winked and Wura laughed.

"But you are right Uncle, there is nothing better that spending time with those whom you love" said Liam as he looked at Wura and she turned to look at him as she cleared her throat and she focused on her food as she avoided Liam's gaze.

"I am happy that you can heed to my poems of Love" said Nigel as he laughed.

"Uncle, maybe you should write a book" said Liam as he laughed.

"You know what, maybe I should" said Nigel as he laughed and Liam laughed as Wura smiled and they began to eat.

Early the next morning.

Wura furrowed her brows as she heard footsteps in her room, and she opened her eyes as she heard the door to her room close as she sat up straight in bed.

"Good Morrow my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and she bowed her head, Wura was finally awake, Nora could guess that maybe Wura had been very tired last night, because she usually always woke up early, but today she did not, and Nora did not want to disturb her and wake her up.

"Good Morrow Nora" said Wura as she smiled and she rubbed her eyes as she looked out the window the sun was already out.

"How was your night my Queen?" asked Nora as she smiled.

"Very peaceful Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"I can see that my Queen, you usually wake up very early" said Nora as she smiled.

"Wait, how long did I sleep in for?" asked Wura as her eyes went wide and she jumped out of bed.

"Well not too long my Queen, breakfast has already been served" said Nora.

"And you did not wake me up?" asked Wura.

"No my Queen, I did not want to disturb you, you looked so peaceful" said Nora.

"Aww Nora, but his Majesty was supposed to teach me how to ride a horse today, I must have kept him waiting" said Wura as she was panicked, she was so excited about today, that she forgot to wake up early for today.

"Well not really my Queen, his Majesty came by, and he asked if you were still sleeping" said Nora.

"He did?" asked Wura in surprise as Nora nodded her head.

"And what did you say?" asked Wura.

"Well I told him that yes, you were still sleeping, so he told me to leave you be, and that when you woke up, I should serve you breakfast in your room" said Nora.

"And he also brought along some clothes for you, that you will wear when you ride Ayo" said Nora as she explained.

"I see…" said Wura in surprise, Liam did all that?? She was grateful, but still they should have woken her up, what sort of student was she to wake up and miss her first lesson with her teacher?

"Yes my Queen" said Nora as she nodded her head.

"Alright then, I will have my bath, and it must be quick, I cannot keep his Majesty waiting" said Wura.

"Alright my Queen, I have prepared your bath, and your breakfast should be here soon" said Nora as she smiled.

"Alright thank you Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"You are welcome my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and Wura walked into the bathing room.

A few minutes later.

"My Queen, what would you like me to do with your hair?" asked Nora as she smiled and Wura looked at her reflection in the dressing table mirror.

"Anything that will be easy for me to move in Nora, and please make it quick" said Wura as she could not wait, she was actually starting to regret that she loosed the beautiful weave Nora did for her, this would have been more much easier if her hair was left like that.

"Alright my Queen, I will" said Nora as she nodded her head, she would opt for a simple bun, so that way Wura would not get hair in her face when she rode her horse.

"Nora, you said that his Majesty brought these clothes for me?" asked Wura.

"Yes he did my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and she nodded her head.

"But how did he know my size?" asked Wura as she was curious, it was either that Liam was a good guesser, or he knew the sizes of women's clothing just by looking at them.

"Ahh well his Majesty came to find my yesterday after I had retired from my duties, and he asked me what I thought your size might be" said Nora as she smiled and she tied up Wura's hair in a bun as she fastened it with a pin.

"I see…" said Wura as she was surprised that Liam would actually go that far, but it dispelled any bad thoughts that she had about him.

"Yes my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and she nodded her head.

"I am done my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and Wura saw her messy hair now in a neat bun.

"Oh thank you Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"You are welcome my Queen" said Nora as she smiled and Wura stood up.

"Well I must be going now, I will see you later Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"Alright my Queen, I hope that you enjoy it" said Nora as she smiled.

"Thank you Nora, I will, and I will tell Ayo that you send your greetings" said Wura as she smiled and Nora smiled at her as she left the room.
