Not tolerate

"What you are asking for will not be granted to you, unless you comply with my demands" said Olamide with a smile.

"I am going to give you nothing at all" said Wura in anger, so much for her thinking that they would be able to settle this amicably between adults, but it was clearly impossible as she was dealing with such a greedy man.

All this just angered her so much, how she wished that she could just end all of this once and for all.

The war was making both sides suffer, and yet Olamide refused to admit it, he was clearly ready to go on with this till the end, which would result in permanent damage on both sides.

There was nothing fulfilling about setting fire to innocent people's homes, towns and cities, it was just petty.

"And if you think for one moment that you will win, you are sorely mistaken" said Wura.

"Wyverdale was founded long before you existed and it will continue to exist long after you are gone" said Wura.

"Your stupid attempt of trying to ruin the kingdom during my reign will not work" said Wura.

"You may think that just because I am a woman, I will be weak, well you are wrong, I am even stronger" said Wura in anger.

"And for that reason expect an relentless attack from us because we surely will not stop until you cave in" said Wura.

"I am not even demanding for anything in return, I did not ask for land, I did not ask for gold, silver or iron, I did not ask for your people to be our slaves, all I want is peace" said Wura.

"And my stance will never change, any time that you decide to come to your senses my offer for peace will still remain, just do not wait until all your towns are destroyed, and all your people have suffered before realizing that you should cease this nonsense plans of yours" said Wura as Olamide smiled and clapped for her.

"What a speech you gave me" said Olamide with a chuckle as he clapped and Wura glared at him.

"But you see, that is the problem with women, they are far too emotional" said Olamide.

"Now a man… well a man will be a man and fight till the end" said Olamide.

"I am sure you understand, your husband the King of Wyverdale would not do things the way you do" said Olamide with a smile.

"Oh he would, because we think the same, and we both have the same interests of the people at heart" said Wura.

"I just wonder where the beloved king of Wyverdale is?" asked Olamide.

"Is he that much of a coward to be hiding behind his wife to lead for him?" asked Olamide with a chuckle.

"I will not tolerate you speaking of my husband like that, watch your tone or else" said Wura in anger.

"Or else what?" asked Olamide as If wanting to test the limits.

"Or else I will order that that body part you call a tongue be cut off" said Wura as she was done, she could not take him insulting Liam, she knew she should have kept quiet, but she just could not help it.

"Oh do that and you risk being shot at" said Olamide with a smile as Mero looked around, his words meant that there were probably archers around that they could not see.

Wura looked at Mero, his eyes telling her that they had spent more than enough time here, idly talking with no gain at all.

"I am done with this, surrender or we will make you surrender" said Wura as she moved Nolan to turn around and she rode away as Mero followed behind her and Olamide just smiled, nothing could stop him from just attacking right here and then, but he wanted to savour this, it was not every day that you were up against such a feisty, stubborn woman, it was thrilling to say the least.

Olamide clicked his tongue and rode his horse back to his camp.

"Oh Nora, you cannot believe the effrontery of that man" said Wura in anger.

"And he even had the guts to call Liam a coward, I felt like strangling him right there and then" said Wura in anger.

"My Queen, please calm down, you are making him happy when you show that you are affected by his words" said Nora as she brushed Wura's hair.

"I know Nora, but I am just so furious, If I could, I would kill him myself and end all of this nonsense" said Wura in anger as she sighed, being a Queen in this kind of circumstance was not easy at all, everyone was underestimating her, and they even insulted her, who told you that a Queen could not go to war.

"My Queen what can I do to help you relax?" asked Nora as she finished brushing Wura's hair.

"Nothing Nora, just bring me my dinner" said Wura with a sigh as Nora looked at her in surprise.

"My Queen, you want your dinner?" asked Nora in shock.

"Yes" replied Wura as she nodded.

"My Queen what changed? You have had no appetite for many days now?" asked Nora as she just had to ask.

"Well nothing changed, I still have no appetite until now, especially now after speaking with that insolent man!" said Wura angrily as she scoffed.

"But your Mero came to my office and struck a deal with me which included me eating more" said Wura as Nora felt herself become red when Wura mentioned Mero as hers.

"My Queen, he is not my Mero…" said Nora in shock as Wura looked at her shocked expression and she laughed.

"Oh but he is" said Wura as she laughed and Nora shook her head violently.

"Oh but are you not both courting?" asked Wura.

"Well yes my Queen, in a way we are… but… but he is not mine" said Nora as Wura laughed even more.

"Oh Nora, you are so cute, I know you like him, and he likes you, and the both of you were probably discussing my lack of appetite and he came over with his deal" said Wura.

"My Queen, that is not even important, what is important is that I do not like him, he is not mine" said Nora as Wura laughed, she loved how in denial Nora was.

"Nora look me in the eye and tell me that you do not have any interest whatsoever in Mero" said Wura.

"I… I…" said Nora as she was cut off.

"Ah Nora you stuttered" said Wura as she laughed and Nora sighed.

"My Queen, please do not tease me" said Nora as she looked down.

"I am not teasing you my dear Nora, I know that you think it is selfish for you to be happy while everyone else is focused on the war, but it is not" said Wura.

"My Queen, do you want me to get your dinner now?" asked Nora with a smile.

"Oh I know what you did Nora, and alright, it is fine, yes I would like my dinner now" said Wura as she smiled.

"Alright my Queen, I will be right back" said Nora as she left and Wura shook her head and smiled, she was missing her own love terribly.

"Mero, I want you to tell me, do we have enough troops gathered yet?" asked Wura as she looked at Mero.

"I am tired of us indirectly fighting them by attacking their people, it is not right, we should just attack them first" said Wura.

"So tell me if you have succeeded in gathering enough troops to attack yet?" asked Wura.

"No my Queen, I am sorry to say but no" replied Mero.

"And why not?" asked Mero.

"My Queen, we both decided to keep this war a silent thing away from the main Kingdom, and with that it has been difficult to recruit young men without raising suspicion" said Mero as Wura looked angry and just fed up.

"Then tell me why we are low on troops in the first place?" asked Wura as Mero sighed, it would be a long process to explain, but this war started at the wrong time of the year.

"Mero, look, I do not care what you have to do, just do what you have to do to get us more troops" said Wura.

"if not I will order that we attack with the number of troops that we have now" said Wura.

"And risk them dying seeing as we are clearly outnumbered?" asked Mero as Wura sighed, she did not know which was more stupid, continuing to wait here while more people suffered, or going to battle knowing fully well that they were outnumbered.

"Mero, tell me what Liam would do?" asked Wura as she was honestly tired and fed up with all of this.

"He would be patient and wait, and not be in a rush" replied Mero.

"Are you sure Mero?" asked Wura.

"Very my Queen" replied Mero as he nodded, he too was tired of the whole ordeal, but rushing to make a very important decision was unwise.

"Alright then we will do that" said Wura with a sigh this whole thing was just giving her too much stress, as if this was not already too stressful as it was.

Mero could see that Wura was very stressed, so he felt like she needed to hear some good news, something to take her mind off all of this.

"In other matters when will you be prepared to go on the relief aid mission?" asked Mero as Wura looked at him in surprise, doubting that she had heard him correctly.

"The relief aid mission?" asked Wura in confusion as Mero nodded.

"Which mission is that? which one are you talking about?" asked Wura as Mero looked at her in confusion.

"The one you wanted to go on, that we had a deal on" replied Mero as Wura had guessed that was what he was probably not talking about it.

So right now, she looked very confused, which made Mero worried, was she starting to have a foggy memory because of how stressful everything was? The mere thought of that was severely worrying on its own.

"I thought so..." said Wura as her voice trailed off.

"Wura are you alright?" asked Mero.

"I am fine Mero why do you ask?" replied Wura.

"Well because you were very passionate about this in the morning and now your mind seems elsewhere, are you sure that you are alright?" asked Mero.

"*Sigh* I am fine Mero, really, it is just that... are you sure that leaving the camp is a good idea right now...?" asked Wura.

"After all, with what Olamide said, it is clear that he is up to something, what if he tries something while we are away or worse...?" asked Wura as there was a bit of fear and tiredness evident in her voice.
