I would like to apologize

Wura cleared her throat as she was certainly starting to feel incredulously nervous once again, she did not consider herself someone who hated speaking to crowds, but this was just different.

She had not seen such a crowd since Liam's coronation, and back then she did not have to do anything but just to show up and look dignified and presentable as the new wife of the new King.

Liam did all the talking back then, she did not have to say a word, but now it was extremely different, she had to be the one to speak and it was clear that she definitely had everyone's attention now.

"I apologize for the rude loud noise, I am sure that it must have startled some of you and caused some of you discomfort" said Wura as she decided to begin with an apology.

The noise was really loud, but that was the only way to make them be silent.

Wura could see how attentive they all were, and they were all bone chillingly silent that she wondered if they were listening to her or just looking at her face and wondering who this strange woman, standing on a platform made of wooden crates was, because she frankly doubted that most of the people knew who she was, or what she looked like.

"But it was done in order to calm everyone down, everyone was in a total disarray and I please urge everyone to calm down and listen" said Wura as she was even surprised that her voice sounded so clear and firm and loud enough for her to be sure that everyone could hear her, or at least she thought that they could.

"So once again, I want everyone to be calm and I am thankful that you are remaining calm like the reasonable people that you all are" said Wura.

"Now I am here to address the rumors that are going around that caused your unrest in the first place" said Wura as she did not know if this was the best was to address the problem, but it was the only way she knew how to.

"Firstly, you do not need to worry about anything concerning the relief aid because it will certainly continue to be provided to you all, I am assuring you about that" said Wura.

"What has happened to your homes and sources of well being is so very tragic, and I understand that, which is why I assure you that there is nothing to worry about, you will never lack food, shelter and basic necessities that you need, because Wyverdale was built upon helping people, and it will continue to be that way" said Wura as she could hear some sighs of relief in the crowd.

"Now secondly, I would like to apologize to you all personally, because as your Queen, I was not informed that the East had attacked the peaceful village of Windharm, it came as an utter shock to me when I first learnt about it and it makes me so sad that I was not aware, because if I was, I would have made sure to do more for you and insure that you all were well taken care of" said Wura.

"And I do not say that because I regard the work of my trusted men as nought, far from it because I am sure they have done the best they could under strict orders, but I say that because I pride myself in being physically involved in things like this that pertain to loss" said Wura.

"I cannot say that I have ever felt the feeling of losing everything in one night, that I know how it feels to lose your homes, your belongings, your town, but I do know how it feels to hold something so near and dear only to lose it due to powers outside your control" said Wura.

"And that is why I concluded that it would be best to come here and see what truly happened for myself and offer and show my immense support for everyone who trusts so much in their King and Queen" said Wura.

"So believe me when I say that I fully sympathize with you and I understand how you feel in the moment, there is a lot of fear, of uncertainty, but I promise you that all this will be over soon" said Wura with so much certainty.

"Problems are bound to arise for us in life, that is how life is, but rest assured that we will overcome as we have overcame in the past because we are Wyverdanian and we are strong and we will conquer as we always have" said Wura as she smiled.

"Though our enemies plan and try to overcome us, either by petty moves such as targeting innocent people, it does not matter, because we are not going to give up and give in to their demands, enemies will always be there, but the important thing is knowing that I the Queen, and my husband the King have your best interest at heart, always" said Wura as she smiled.

"So please never think that we have forgotten about you, or that we do not care about you, and that we just leave you to suffer, that is surely not true, you are always in our hearts and minds and we always take you into account before making any decisions that concern the wellbeing of the Kingdom" said Wura as she felt like she had to say that, there were definitely some people who had doubts about the royal family in their minds and she wanted to erase any sort of doubts that they may have.

"Thank you all for listening to me, I just wanted to share how I felt and tell you all that I love all of you and I truly am sorry for what happened, I hope that you are all comfortable and if you need anything anything at all, please feel free to approach me for the remainder of the time that I will be here" said Wura.

"And let me just add that it is simply a pleasure to see all of you and to be here, thank you" said Wura as she smiled, ending her speech as she was not expecting the kind of response that she received.

The people started to clap for her and chant, she certainly was not expecting that kind of reaction judging from how silent they had all been.

Wura could not help but smile as she sighed in relief, she had not intended to say an entire speech that she had not planned, but all the words just came out of her mouth, flowing seamlessly, she felt like she was speaking straight from her heart, which she was.

It was clear that the people knew that she was being very sincere with them and that was why they responded to her in the way she did.

Wura was so relieved that she did not remember she was still standing on top of a unstable platform that was starting to shake as a little wind started to blow.

"My Queen" called Mero as he snapped Wura out of her thoughts and she looked down only to see him, she had completely forgotten that he was right down there by her side, she was so focused on speaking that she had forgotten about anything or anyone else.

"Let me help you down" he said as it was only then that Wura was reminded that she was still standing on this thing that gave her chills.

"Oh yes yes, of course" said Wura as she carefully moved to sit down at the edge as Mero stretched his hands out to carry her down as she stood on her feet.

"Thank you Mero" said Wura as she smiled at him.

"You are welcome my Queen" said Mero with a soft smile, he was proud of her, she spoke with the utter confidence and sincerity of a Queen, and judging from the reaction of the people they all thought the same.

"Oh my, being on top of there was very scary, it feels good to be back down" said Wura as she laughed and Mero chuckled and let go of her waist when he heard a guard call out to them.

"My Queen, Sir Mero, what shall we do now?" asked the guard as Mero helped Wura down from the wooden crate.

"What do we do now?" asked Wura as she looked at Mero, she had the same question on her mind, she honestly did not know what to do now.

"I presume that now is the perfect time to share the new relief aid that has just arrived now that the people are finally calm" said Mero as he spoke closer to Wura's ear just so only she would hear him.

"Alright" replied Wura as she nodded her head.

"Tell everyone to stand in a line and wait patiently, while they receive the aid that has just arrived" said Wura as she turned to the guard and he nodded his head immediately.

"Alright my Queen, I will do so right away" said the guard as he quickly went to inform his other guards of the Queen's orders.
