Chapter 10

I was bored.

Staring at the door doesn't help. It also makes me wonder what is it's reason being there. Suddenly popping out of nowhere.

I can't open it.

My stare shifted at him. He's two meter away from me. I can't clearly see him because there was a shade in his face that stops me from seeing his face.

I can't move any closer to him because he'll immediately back out and go away.

It's hot in this land but not like earlier, it's bearable now.

I stared at the door again. I don't have a choice, but to stare at it. Maybe there's a magic that it'll open.

The sun is still up high. I can't fully count the time but probably it's thirteen hours since it risen up. It doesn't include the time that I've fallen into sleep.

I don't know how many hours I've consume.

But maybe it was enough for the sun to come down. The night will come again and I hope no house will appear out of nowhere again and creatures are coming at us.

"Niña"a whisper in my mind.

My head turned everywhere to find that. The first thing that I saw is him but it doesn't look like he called me.

The voice is sweet and surely comes from a girl. He's a man, unless he's not.

He's wearing a faded jeans and a long sleeve polo. I hope he doesn't get a heart attack. It was so hot, the sun is blazing and he's wearing that kind of clothes.

I started to count again. Five hours, more or less the night will fall.

As I count, I shifted my gaze at the door. It has an intricate design, a root like design that placed all over the door.

It is colored gold. And it's shining as the sun gives it's ray.

As the time goes by that I lost count of it.

I've fallen asleep, when my countings gone up to thirty thousand.

More than enough for night to come.

Weird flashes of image come to life in my dream.

I was driving a car and I felt pissed on something.

My hand moves to get my phone next to me, I give last glimpse to the front to make sure I will not hit something before shifting it to the phone.

But before I can fully see my phone. I was blinded by a light coming up front.

I saw a car coming at my way. I immediately hit the break. The car stop.

My eyes widened when the car crashing to me doesn't stop and continue it's movement to hit me.

I felt shocked vibrated upon me as liquid cascade to my chin.

I can't move, I can't do anything. I hear my phone ringing.

I gasp for air.

"What was that?"I asked myself but answered by the quietness of the place.

I was lying on the doors way. I was alone.

I shivered when wind passed me.

My tummy is exposed. I'm wearing a black sleeveless crop top with a letter N in the front. It's match with the army green baggy pants and a boots. A combat boots.

"How come--?"my words halted when I looked up and saw the sun.

Shivered crawled upon me.

The sun is in the middle of the sky and there's no sign that night will come.

I'm pretty sure that it's been a day now. The night is nowhere to be here.

The door is still standing upright in this land and no shadow or shade it shows.

I'm alone, the man earlier is nowhere to be found.

I stand up and picked up a bag that was near me.

It has some water and food. I sit on the land further away on the door.

When I saw the water, I felt itchiness in my throat. It doesn't help that the sun is blazing hot that every scratch made it painful. I can see it but it's clear that the skin is now red.

When I lay my hand, I saw a bit stain of blood on it.

I immediately get the water to hydrate myself but it was hard to open. My stare shifted at the food that was placed in a sealed bag.

Opposite to the tumbler of water, the seal immediately open but when I touch the food, it vanished into thin air.

Now, the food is with the wind. The water is not available because of a metal like tumbler that doesn't open whatever I do.

My attention shifted at the door when I heard foosteps on it.

I stand up and walk towards the door. I put my ear on it, and there's the movements that I've heard.

I run circled on the door. But it doesn't show any person or even creatures that causing the sounds.

"Am I hallucinating?"I asked to myself and just stare at the door.

I put my finger on my chin and wait for the door to open. If it will open.

I didn't wait long and the door slowly moved to open. It has this painful stretch sound that I can't help but to cover my ear.

The two door stop moving and in the far left side, a small door appeared and it's knob is moving.

I take a step backwards and ready myself for whatever will come out.

The knob continue to move and I fastly run towards the back of the door. And the small door on the front isn't visible in the back.

I run back at the front and saw the slow movements of the small door, it's opening.

I waited until it open and revealed a man with a long white beard. He's also holding a staff that supports his weight.

He's eyes directed to me. He was like floating because of orange like cloth that touches the ground.

I can't move. I'm rooted in my place.

He's going near me but stop in the middle.

"Young lady"he said with a deep voice.

I shivered as I compare it to a cave voice, like it wasn't used regularly.

I'm just staring at him and waiting for his next move.

I condition my mind to run if ever he assault or do something I wouldn't like.

Or, maybe I want to run now.

"Wanna go inside?"he asked and gesture the door.

I shaked my head. It was a shady offer. And the fact that I can't see the door when I run towards the back, is enough for me to doubt.

"Don't worry, there was a food and water inside"he temp, and I was tempted.

After he said that, I felt so hungry and thirsty. I didn't know I have this feeling a while ago.

"Don't worry"he said again and walk towards the door. I take slow bit walks to follow him.

I was scanning the whole place eventhough all I can see is sand.

I'm hoping to see something that will make me stop going inside the door.

I was finding him but he's nowhere to be seen, like he's not here earlier.

I take a sigh and continue my walk until I reach the door.

I enter it.
