Let's make it real

The dinner was a fuzzy trip. After ten minutes of sitting altogether, the dinner has finally ended.

Krizzia and Hunt are on their way out of Reid's mansion by car.

"I still can't believe such a twist happened today." She mumbled right after she buckled her seatbelts. "Did you purposely do this, Hunt?" Then gotten suspicious of Hunt after. She looked at him in the driver's seat.

Hunt's brows furrowed. "I don't!" he defended. "I don't even know that you are my brother's tutor. If I know, I shouldn't have chosen you." Krizzia felt bad with what he said, so her brows furrowed as well.

"So, you're regretting it because you chose me? Is that it?" She commented on irritation. Hunt stamped the brake and parked the car at the road's side.

"I will never regret it, I was just surprised! What makes you think that I would be regretting it?" The air between them is raging. They do not have the chance to talk about the matter earlier because both of them were afraid to be caught by his family. Also, it was his purpose of distancing himself from her earlier. He might as well predict her reaction.

"Then why did you say that if you know, you shouldn't have chosen me? Isn't it regrets?" She was annoyed when she heard him telling that to her. It made her blood boil, not only did he owe her a huge apology but also now.

"Krizzia, this isn't the right time for us to argue about this matter. Let's just set this aside and talk about the subjects that matter, okay?" Hunt has a point so Krizzia monitize her temper by taking a deep breath. "My parents want to meet your parents, do they know about us?" it's one of her problems. Initially, she doesn't want her parents to know about her marriage with Hunt. And now that Hunt's family met her as his fiancé... It's hard to escape, she has been cornered.

She shook her head.

"You don't want them to know?" He sensed it from before, that Krizzia doesn't want to meet her parents. She nod at him. He frowned. "Why? Were you afraid of something?" If she fears something, he guessed he has to be responsible about it as well, since she's his fiancé from today onwards. To care for her is one of his responsibilities.

Krizzia's eyes were sad and her shoulders are a little bit off. "My parents wished me to have a happy life, Hunt. Not a contracted marriage. If they find out about this, they would be very disappointed. I know how well they raised me and I can't afford to disgrace them for this." Even her voice sounds guilty and worried.

It made him think about it. The car became silent as their minds were clouded with so many thoughts. Until Hunt comes up with a very dangerous idea, and that idea is...

"Krizzia, how about I'll marry you for real? No contract and we'll live as a real couple."

Krizzia snapped out from spacing out, she looked at him with an unbelievable look. "A-Are you sure?" She stammered. Something was struck amidst her throat.

Hunt just nod at her, his serious face glistened because of the city vehicles that passed by them. Marriage was not included in his bucket lists. He had seen many couples get divorced because their relationships don't work. Aside from that, he doesn't love her. From the start, he just wanted to use her in being able to get his inheritance from his father, but his father just told him about contractual marriage which he couldn't disregard. Also, if his father were going to found out about their fake relationship, he's sure that he will inherit nothing.

In short, he's worried about both himself and the inheritance. Besides, Krizzia isn't that bad to become his wife. "I'm sure."

Krizzia couldn't get the sudden change of his mind, but she just can't guarantee his request because he is still someone who is capable of cheating. What if the time comes and her worries will become true? Despite that, they don't have special feelings to consider for each other.

"Hunt, you're aware that we don't love each other, right?" She didn't mean to be rude, she just wanted to be frank with him. "It's not just about marriage, but our life in the future. If I will agree to marry you for good, what about us? You may be able to get your inheritance, but how about me? What if, you don't want me anymore? What if, you want me out of your life because you already got what you need? And what if... you fall for someone else?" Hunt was indeed speechless, he never thought about it and he never expected her to say those to him. "All that I could see from you are the worries of inheritance and I can tell that you are not yet ready to enter such a relationship, Hunt. Marriage isn't just a joke. It's about responsibility, trust and faith in your partner. Though, I don't want to have such a terrible marriage when you're just after something else. That's why, I can't accept it now." She sighed and smiled at him after. "We still have a day to rethink about it. I will wait and if you still want to pursue it, we will try to make things right. How about that?"

Hunt really had to rethinks about it carefully, she was right, he's not yet ready about marriage. He is just doing this because of his father's inheritance. He became greedy, to the point that he never thought of the outcome. And he was so selfish for not thinking about her worries as well.

Later that day, after he took her home, he went to his penthouse and reflected. As he lye himself in his king sized bed, he stared at a blank ceiling.

Krizzia was supposed to go to the bar but because of the sudden change, she didn't go there and took a day absent instead. She observed herself in the mirror, thinking about the conversation they had.

Both characters were staring at themselves until the sun peaked through their windows.

As usual, Krizzia was early at Reid's mansion. But to her surprise, Hunt was also there early in the morning. Earlier than her actually.

"Good morning." She greeted him casually. He was standing at the mansion's entrance when she arrived. He grimaced and pursed a smile.

"Good morning." It wasn't awkward but funny. Why?

"You have dark circles under your eyes." She said while pointing his eyes.

He touched his under eyes, "Oh, this? I lacked sleep last night." Then, he looked back at her.

"You had dark circles too. You lacked rest as well?" In conclusion, they laughed at their similarities as if they didn't have the worries to take care of.
