Chapter Thirty-eight

I was about to close my eye when I heard a light scream. The lights came on immediately and I turned to see the guard who we just spoke to lying on the floor with blood gushing out from his forehead. They had shot him in the head with a silencer. Whoever it was stood in front of us and I didn't want to look up till he started walking towards us.

"Miles?" I asked in awe when I looked up to see him.

I couldn't believe he was the one, flesh and blood. Was this a simulation or something? Mr. Bryon and my uncle are probably watching me from a room and laughing at how I fall for every trick.

"Did he hurt you?" he asked.
