Chapter 4 "Hidden Library"

Melody and James entered the library.

It was a beautiful place.

They could feel so much magic around them. The place was very dark with blue colored walls. There were millions of books all placed in shelves. Melody wasn't sure how she'd be able to find what she was looking for in such a huge place.

They started walking and exploring. They reached the center of the library, where there was a table with one special book placed on it. Melody's eye caught the book when she saw it, it started glowing. She went closer to read it.

"Oh my god, looks like we found what we need", Melody said.

James went closer to see the book.

The book was titled "MELODY".

When Melody picked the book up something happened. It felt like an earthquake but stopped in a few seconds. Suddenly all the lights went out.

Melody and James got scared cause they started hearing creepy voices.

It was as if ghosts were talking in their ears.

"Come on, we have to find the exit", James said.

They were in the middle of the library. They got lost and couldn't find their way back with no light to see.

Melody used her powers.

She created a ball of light and threw it on the roof of the room. It provided them enough light to see. It also scared the ghosts away a little.

Melody and James noticed that. Melody started throwing more magic onto the ghosts and pretty soon they all went away.

They found their way back to the exit. They were still pretty shocked. Even though they didn't saw the ghosts clearly but they could hear their voices. They were calling out to Melody.

"What do you think that was?", James asked.

"I don't know, maybe they were protecting the book or something, lets just get out of here", Melody said.

Melody and James exited the library and went back to the basement of the café. Daphne was waiting there for them.

"There you guys are, I've been looking everywhere for you guys, wait.. how did you come from the kitchen? I just checked there; you guys weren't there" Daphne said.

"That's because we were at the secret library", Melody said to Daphne while showing her the book.

"you found it", Daphne said.

"Yea, now lets get out of here", James said.

"Hey guys, there you are", David came and said.

David was about to notice the book Melody was holding when suddenly the lights went out.

"What happened?", Daphne asked.

"I'm not sure, I'll go check on the generator", David said.

"Where's the generator?", Melody asked.

"On the second floor", David replied.

"we'll come too, maybe we can help", Melody said.

"umm. okay sure", David said.

Melody knew where David was going would be a place without people so she volunteered to go so she could use the cube and create a portal back to her world.

It was very dark in the whole café.

David turned on a flashlight on his phone.

They went to the second floor. It was completely empty with just a generator and a few extra things. It was still under construction. Melody took out the cube from her pocket. It was still very dark so nothing could be seen much clearly. Suddenly someone snatched the book from Melody's hands.

"Hey!", Melody screamed.

James and Daphne were standing near Melody so they saw it happen.

David however was far away with the generator.

"What happened", He asked.

"Nothing, never mind", Daphne said.

Melody's first instinct was to follow the man who stole the book. The man jumped through a window. Melody pressed a button on her watch and it turned into her Floverboard. She then followed the man out of the window on her Floverboard. James also opened his Floverboard. Daphne took the stairs as she didn't have a Floverboard.

This was Melody's first-time riding. She was already in the air but had no idea how to control it. But all she could think about at the moment was getting her book back. She perfectly maintained balance and flew like she was trained.

However there was still a bit hesitation in her. When she looked down and thought about the fact that she was flying very high, she got scared. She started to lose her balance a little bit but luckily James reached her and helped her with it.

"Don't panic the more you think about it, the more hard it will be, just trust yourself and you'll fly perfectly', James said"

The man was running. He was visible all this time but then he entered the forest. It was hard to see him in the ground as they were flying and all they could see were trees so they decided to go down. James landed perfectly as he knew how to ride. However, Melody fell. But her fall didn't hurt her cause it wasn't from a much height. They continued chasing after the guy. Daphne reached there too.

The guy was wearing a black hoodie. He was the same man who was spying on Melody on her first day of high school.

Suddenly the guy used a cube of his own and opened up a portal. He went through it. But before going through, he looked back to see if anyone was still following. Melody and James were right behind him so they saw his face.

It was James's father, "Rick".

"Dad?", James said confusingly.

He couldn't believe that his father would betray him like that. His father rushed through the portal. Melody was anxious to find the book so she followed him. "Melody Wait!", James shouted but it was too late. Melody had already gone through. He couldn't leave her alone so he went through the portal too. Daphne arrived there and saw them all leaving. She also went through and the portal closed.

The portal opened up to a strange place. It was like the start of a desert. There was a restaurant there and afterwards it was all dry land, it was a desert. James saw his dad. His dad had a weird device in his hand, shaped like a circle. He placed the device on air and suddenly there was a door. He went through it. The device was what opened the door. James tried to follow but the door vanished. They also tried to go into the desert but realized that there was a magical force field protecting the desert. They couldn't get inside. But his father, Rick, had a device by which he went in. However, after going through the door, Rick just disappeared. He wasn't seen anywhere at the desert. Melody and James couldn't figure out anything. Just then, Daphne came through the portal.

It was as if the whole desert is just an illusion and in reality, there's something else in there.

Melody and James filled Daphne in with everything that happened.

"Wait you guys, I think I know about this place ", Daphne started remembering something. "This is the "Dragon's Land", I read about it in our history class, this whole place is not what is looks to be. It's not actually a desert. It's something else. People call it "Dragons Land" but no one can enter it as far as my knowledge goes, It's one of the greatest mysteries of our kingdom".

"Cant believe I've never heard about it", James said. "But my father just went in their, which means there's a way inside, we have to find him"

"Yes, and get back the book", Melody said.

Melody tried calling for the witch but she didn't come. The witch had made it clear earlier that this mission was melody's and she is suppose to bring the book back on her own because the book belongs and answers only to her.

Melody and Daphne Sat on a bench.

"I have to get that book back, otherwise the witch is not going to help me", Melody said.

James looked at her and knew how desperate she was. He wanted to help but didn't know what to do. Suddenly he heard a voice. It was a very low voice. A calling. Someone was saying his name

"James… James… James…", the voice was of a woman, it was very low and it was coming from the Dragons Land.

James went closer to it.

Melody noticed and asked "Is something wrong?".

James didn't reply, he was much focused on the voice. He kept walking. Suddenly he walked right into the force field. No power was stopping him now. He did it. He disappeared. Melody and Daphne stood up in shock. James was now on the other side, which means he was in the Dragons Land.

Inside the Dragons Land :

It was definitely not a desert. Infact it was the opposite. All James could see were huge trees, it seemed like a forest. He could no longer see Melody and Daphne on the other side, just like they couldn't see him. However, he did not go back, he had no idea as to how he got inside but he wasn't going to go back without getting the book. So he started walking, hoping to find his dad.

The tree's were getting smaller and he could see a little bit. There was a mountain. He was going to climb it to see what's on the other side but he heard a voice. He looked around and found a cave. He knew that it must be his dad inside. It really was his dad. He was talking to a Manipant. It was the same Manipant who attacked Melody. But James did not know that. The Manipant and Rick were talking when James secretly tried to steal back the book.

"The book is of no use to us", Manipant said.

"Only Melody can open it, as it's been written just for her and sealed with magic"

The Manipant and Rick were discussing the book.

James was hiding behind a large stone. The cave was huge. It was more like a secret headquarters. There was a giant table in the middle where the book was lying. James waited for the perfect moment and when his father and the Manipant weren't looking. He slowly grabbed the book and started to leave the cave when suddenly his father saw him. He started running with the book. The Manipant and his father followed him. He started climbing the mountain. His father was behind him. The Manipant tried to stop him with his magic but James was moving too fast. Suddenly he reached the peak of the mountain. Apparently, there was another force field over there but James didn't feel it at all. He just walked through it and went to the other side of the mountain. However, no one was able to follow him cause the force field worked for everyone else and did not allow them to cross through, even their device, by which they had entered the Dragons land in the first place, didn't work.

His dad was shocked to see that James just went though that force field. Even they didn't have any gadget to pass that field.

"What are we going to do now", The Manipant said.

"I have an idea, follow me", Rick said.

Rick and the Manipant went outside the dragons land. Melody and Daphne were still there trying to process what just happened. Then suddenly Rick and the Manipant came out and used the cube to open a portal. The Manipant used his powers and made both Melody and Daphne unconscious. Then they went though the portal and took Daphne and Melody.

A black crow was seeing all this. It started flying and reached the Dark Witch, it was her crow which she had sent to spy on Melody. She received message though the Crow that someone just entered the Dragon Land. The witch was shocked and took out a cube of her own and transported from her hideout to the place of the Dragons Land. She couldn't enter the land either but was waiting for James to come out.
