Chapter 10: Meng Xia Is Injured

The deafening explosion went off! A geyser tens of meters high made up of stone and dust was erected immediately where the talisman blew up. A heatwave rippled out like a tsunami, sweeping all in its path!

Even though Meng Xia used a protective treasure, she was still hurled away by the force of the explosion. A few of her bones were broken and she suffered some serious injuries. Combined with the injuries she faced previously due to the frontal attack of Sky Python, she felt it was difficult to even stand up.

'At least I was able to take it out. Zhou Wuji should be able to defeat that other Sky Python.' She thought while heaving a sigh of relief.

However, her relief was short-lived. As the dust-filled surrounding cleared up, what she saw made her eyes widen in disbelief.

The Sky Python that she thought was dead was still alive! It looked like it suffered fatal injuries too but it was still in the condition to fight.

'Damnit! It isn't at the peak of Stage Heavenly Master Realm, rather, it is already Half-Step into…!'

Seeing that the Sky Python was starting to move towards her slowly with venomous eyes like it wanted to rip her apart, a sense of fear gripped her heart.

She hastily looked around to find Zhou Wuji but she couldn't even find his shadow. During the explosion, they had unknowingly drifted apart.

She had accepted her fate.

The two didn't go along with each other. The man was average-looking while the woman was an ethereal existence, like an immortal in the mortal world.

Her attention was entirely on the woman.

That was how she would look to others. As someone who had read the novel, however, Zhao Shuman's thoughts differed. Compare to her, he would rather deal with Xin Zhuyan. Although that girl was cold, she was also straightforward. Meng Xia on the other hand looked amicable but at her core, she was an intelligent and scheming woman.

Zhuo Wuji ran up to her and then sat beside her, asking worriedly: "How are you?"

Meng Xia also knew that. She could feel her condition getting worse with every passing moment.

A thought surfaced in her mind. While she is still able, she thought of performing dual cultivation with Zhao Wuji when she heard Xin Zhuyan's voice.

"Can she survive?"

Meng Xia groaned inwardly but she couldn't find the strength to speak now.

At a distance, the Sky Python's mutilated body could be seen.

Seeing Xin Zhuyan, Zhuo Wuji was dazed for a long while. Xin Zhuyan also saw him and an intense guilt shot through her heart.

Zhuo Wuji quickly recovered after remembering that Meng Xia was dying. He did have a Supreme Ranked Pill that can heal her completely but he didn't want to use that until absolutely necessary. That's why he asked Xin Zhuyan: "Zhuyan, did you have any method to save her?"

"I can't…" Xin Zhuyan shook her head lightly as she watched Meng Xia's worsening conditions. As Zhou Wuji heard this, he made up his mind to take out the Supreme Ranked Pill but Xin Zhuyan suddenly said: "While I can't, he can."

"He?" Zhuo Wuji turned to look at Zhao Shuman who was standing silently all this time.
