Not a Qualified Donor

Violet's face turned scarlet red. She grew restless with the realization that struck her. Victor is also a bully like Allen!

'How dare he jests at me like this!?' She was embarrassed, of course. To cover her flustered face, she glared at Victor, lifted her chin, and snorted,

"How lucky would you be if I became your sugar momma, huh?"

Victor curled his thin lips. He enjoyed watching Violet's facial expression changed, and she looked too cute behaving that way.

"That's what I'm talking about, dear." He retorted, chuckling.

Staring at him with astonishment, Violet was in disbelief that Victor would further poke fun at her. Indeed, it upset her that the guy was only laughing and enjoyed seeing her sour face.

"Humph! I might change my mind, and I would no longer take you with me!" She threatens him, stomping her foot on the stone tile and glaring at Victor.

The guy could not stop beaming, looking at her sulking face. But Victor has to stop teasing Violet before she walks out and dislikes him, like how she hated Allen.

When he and Violet met again, they grew closer, and she even became an open book to him; thus, he didn't want to ruin their wonderful friendship. He was delighted that Violet was comfortable around him.

"Alright. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to tease you. I'm just kidding, okay?" He apologized.

"Humph!" Violet folded her arms across her chest, fuming.

Victor scratched his temple, watching Violet throwing a tantrum; hence, it was time to change the topic. "So? Has your aunt chosen a new set of bodyguards for you?"

Violet's frown deepened when he mentioned her search for a new set of bodyguards. Victor could see how her mood even became foul. 'It looks like I even upset her.'

He intended to soothe her, but now he regretted his question when it only triggered her more. Violet's forehead furrowed, and disappointment was written all over her face.

"How frustrating! No one could land a punch on my cousins among their best students. My twin brother Seth also joined the tournament, but no one was a match for him. In fact, he can even bring down more people just in one kick!" Violet was annoyed, thinking that no one was better than Allen. She was disappointed because even Seth, a great martial artist, could not defeat that guy Allen.

Now she could not slap Allen, saying, "You can withdraw your bodyguards. I found men that are better than yours."

'Grr!' It really upset her. Even so, she believes that there will be someone out there. Impossible that no one can win against Allen.

"It looks like William Security will remain by your side," Victor commented after a long silence.

"Yeah…" Violet replied nonchalantly like she cared no more and didn't want to discuss that further. But the truth was, she only wanted to avoid meeting Victor's eyes. The way he has gazed at her is unfathomable. It was a mystery that looked like it only would bring some danger to her heart. Sensing her change of moods, Victor offered a hand suddenly.

"Since I'm free and have nothing to do, I can act as your extra bodyguard. I think it would be fun. I'm actually bored living alone on the ranch."

Dan is a commercial plane pilot via international flights, and so Dan is always above the sky, leaving Victor alone in the province. Also, the ranch was taken care of by robot machine workers. Victor almost does nothing but timely check on the robot system to see if it works properly and fix them if it has malfunctioned.

"Really?" Violet's eyes twinkled; she was elated with the idea. "I would love to hire you since you know how to fly an aircraft and fix cars. I can't say no to that!"

Victor pursed his lips and widened his smile. He quoted, "Whenever you need me, I'm just a call away."

"Oh, how cheesy! What a line for a knight in shining armor."

"Is it me?" Victor pointed his index finger at himself. He was happy to ride Violet's taunts. He sighed with relief when she was in the mood to joke now.

"Okay! Sounds honorific!" she put out her tongue and rolled her eyes.

Victor chuckled at how she acted childishly now. It was actually fun dealing with her mood swings. On the other hand, Violet was in a daze, staring at the guy's beautiful smile; she could not stop her heart from fluttering and listening to his sexy laughs.

It was crazy that she didn't want to accept how this gorgeous man had a unique sexual orientation!

"Have you ever thought of having kids?" Out of the blue, she was spouting nonsense.

Violet quickly shut her mouth and blushed. 'Jeez! What are you thinking, Violet!?'

She could not believe that she was too vocal about her thoughts in front of Victor. Probably because, unknowingly, he earned her trust already.

Violet lifted her gaze and peered at Victor. He was in a daze, pondering over her question. She was grateful that he seemed to put thought into it.

"I'm sorry! I am not in a position to ask such a question! Forget that I spout this nonsense!" She took this chance to cover her embarrassment by taking back her question.

Victor, who pondered for a moment, returned to his senses and looked at Violet with a smile. He answered, "It's okay. It was a normal conversation between friends."

Violet breathed with relief inwardly. She giggled and uttered, "I'm sorry. It was just out of curiosity. You don't need to answer that. It was a silly question."

"No problem. I am willing to answer that anyway," said Victor.

"Oh, then?"

"Well, it is not a bad idea. Maybe in the near future, when Dan and I talk over and make careful decisions."

"Right!" Violet smiled awkwardly. She bit her lower lip and tried to lighten the mood by discussing it in a natural way. "In our era, we don't need to marry the opposite sex. We have institutions that can provide us a child with our own flesh and blood without having a relationship with anyone."

Victor was speechless. Confusion appeared in his eyes. "Hey, Violet… Don't tell me you were thinking of getting one because you are not going to get married?"

"I am considering it, yes," Violet replied.

"Are you saying that you are not interested in having a boyfriend?"

"Nope," Violet replied lazily. She truly is not interested in having a relationship with anyone, but she might consider marrying someone if that person is greater than Allen in every aspect.

"Then how about Allen?"

Violet furrowed her brows and asked, "What about that annoying guy? Why would you bring him up? Are you my friend? I started suspecting that you are siding with Allen instead of pitying me."

Victor chuckled when Violet glared at him. He answered, defending himself. "I am not siding with him. It's just that maybe he is serious about pursuing you."

"Huh? That guy is serious?" She was in disbelief. "You mean seriously bullying me? Yes, he is! So there is no way that I will inject his offspring into my uterus!"

It was too late when she realized how shameful she became, blabbering about having an in vitro fertilization.

Violet glanced at Victor, and the guy was only smiling the entire time like she was a fool. Her heart sank with shame. She wishes for the floor to open and swallows her or to run and hide from Victor.

She really is excellent at embarrassing herself.

"It's not a bad idea to get Allen's sperm cells," Victor commented.

"He is not a qualified donor!" she snapped.

"Why not? He is wealthy and an outstanding doctor. His family has an excellent status. Every woman …"

"Shush, shut it!" Violet intervened in whatever Victor was about to say further. She is not interested in listening. "Who are you siding with?"

"It's you, of course." Victor flashes a smile.

"Then stop mentioning his name!" she exclaimed.

"Alright. I swear I would no longer mention his name. I'm sorry." As Victor swears, he also musing inwardly, 'Poor guy. Condolences to you, bro!'

And because Violet was fretting in her seat, she didn't see the teasing smile playing on Victor's lips.

In his mind, Violet only prohibits mentioning Allen's name. It means he could still bring up something related to him.

[Miss Violet…]

Suddenly, Flora appeared.

"What's wrong, Flora?"

[Miss, there is an emergency report you have to check ASAP.]
