Sell It To Me

Mainland City, M Country

Sitting across from Allen, Violet leaned back and watched Allen finish his breakfast. Now that he wiped his mouth with a table napkin and emptied the glass of orange juice, it was the signal she'd been waiting for to share her thoughts.

"So? I noticed that you'd grown every rarest orchid. But there are wide varieties of Vanda Sanderiana I haven't seen among them."

After a while, throughout her tea and Allen's late breakfast, Violet could not help but be curious; thus, she queried him.

Allen was actually delighted that Violet finally noticed it. However, he did not show those scheming glints in his eyes but kept his cool.

"I'll show you to them." Allen stood up from his seat, gestured his hand toward a trail, and said, "Please follow me."

Puzzled, Violet followed Allen closely without raising any questions until she realized they were getting deeper into the man-made forests inside the greenhouse.

Soon, Allen finally halted. As she was immersed in looking around, she was slammed into his broad back.

"Ouch."

Allen glanced over his shoulder and watched the woman behind him rubbing her nose after she bumped into him.

"Are you alright?" With a hint of worry in his voice, he couldn't help but ask her. The urge to hold her was great, but every time he did that, Violet felt aggrieved and hated him even more. Hence, he remained his distance and helplessly watched her with concern.

"I'm fine. It's my fault since I'm not looking at the pavement." Immediately, Violet assures Allen that it was a pure accident.

Allen nodded and smiled casually, with no trace of his abnormal behavior. Truthfully, he only suppressed smiling excessively after seeing that Violet was in a much better mood now.

Therefore, Allen tilted his head to the side and then looked up to the trees and said, "Well, there they are."

Violet followed his gaze, and her eyes widened in amazement. The Vanda Sanderiana she was searching for was gloriously hanging in the trees at the forest's heart.

"They're beautiful!" She could not control herself and complimented the rare varieties of Vanda with glee. Then, she started narrating… "Do you know Raine is looking at these varieties?"

"Raine?" Allen seemed to have heard this name before, but he paid less attention to other women. Also, he was curious if Violet was actually speaking about a woman because this name is unisex, so a probability that this Raine is a man. Then he needs to run a background check and maybe cripple him if he is one of Violet's suitors.

On the other hand, Violet looked at Allen strangely. She asked, "You have forgotten about Raine Lopez? She is Lavender and Hilary's first cousin from their father's mom's side."

"Oh." Allen could not utter another word as his heart celebrated that this Raine was a woman and not a man. He admitted that he just remembered who Raine Lopez was. She was actually a good friend of Angela and Samantha Dale.

But as he already mentioned, he didn't pay attention to other women out there but to every man might they will after the love of his life.

Looking at Allen's slightly confused face, Violet felt she needed to explain a little more.

"Raine Lopez is the CEO of G Group. Also, the founder of Freiya Parfums, whereas Angela is an investor of the company."

"Right. She is residing in Sasha City." Allen nodded his head to show that he finally remembered who she was. Besides, Sasha City was located in the northeast part of the Country. They actually have investments in G Company through their subsidiary group in the city.

He may not be familiar with whom these people are, whereas he rarely visits their branches, and he just entrusted most of their business to Hendrik. He keeps all the information that is related to Violet.

And Raine Lopez was Violet Flower Farm's top client. Violet supplies the Freiya Parfums Company with various orchids to formulate an orchid fragrance. Thus, Violet did not hide her excitement.

She was trying to contact the country where vanda grew in the wilderness, including P Country, to look for every species of this particular orchid.

"Um…" Violet glanced at Allen and studied his mood. She has suddenly become shy, but she is determined to negotiate with him. She checked on her temperament, and she did not act rude or arrogant when she was the one who needed something from Allen.

So after a long time of debating within herself, Violet finally gathered enough courage in her heart. "Well… How about this? Could you sell those Vandas to me?"

Violet has particularly pointed at the purple and lavender Vanda Sanderiana that its blossoms were the size of her face. They were absolutely massive!

A little surprised by her approach, Allen was utterly happy that his effort earned significant results. But of course, he needs to show a little hesitancy that they are not for sale.

This is what they called "Just playing hard to get."

Thus, he acted as if he was sad to do that because they were his precious research, and it was not for sale. This did not hide from Violet. The joy in her heart slowly dissipated and was replaced with disappointment.

Allen was a little panicky to see the gradual changes in Violet's facial expression. She lowered her head and pressed her lips. Hence, he has to do something about it.

"Well, what will you do with them if I sell them to you?"

Instantly, Violet's eyes lit up. Upon realizing that she is behaving unusually in front of Allen, she coughs and straightens her back, regaining her noble posture. Even so, she stays soft-spoken from her usual cold treatment toward Allen.

After all, she is a businesswoman, so she could play along nicely, too, when it comes to negotiations.

Thus, she smiled at Allen and explained. "Ahem. Raine is looking for these particular colors because it was her mother's favorite variety of this Vanda, which can only be found in the forest. She was unhappy lately that she could no longer find one from P Country."

Violet wasn't sure if her narration was enough to convince Allen. But since she is now persuading him, she will do her best to take the opportunity to bring it home.

"Don't worry. I will pay any amount. Importantly, Raine could have them for the special event of her company. It was her mother's birthday. On the same date, she launched her company to celebrate both."

"I see…" Allen nodded. He realized Violet was actually thoughtful toward her friends.

Maybe the reason she poorly treated him was because of how stupid he was in the past. He constantly teased her so that she would give attention to him. However, he usually went overboard, which embarrassed her a lot. But of course, he is regretful every time, why he is trying hard to make up with her.

"Alright. But I have a few conditions."
