Chapter 30 - Can I continue to use this Warehouse?(2)

Saachi was overwhelmed by the care and hospitality given by NPCs. For few moments he forgot everything and basked in the supreme feel.( Forgive him, oh gods, he is still young.)

When it came crunch, he snapped back. " Please! Don't make me an outsider. I am still the same person as before. Your care and hospitality, I will never forget. So, please be at ease and let me behave like a normal citizen."

" Wow! Such a noble endeavour! I always knew this young man was exceptional and made for higher things."

" Wanting to feel the lives of normal citizens. Is there any thought more purer than this. I wholeheartedly salute you."

Who said NPCs did not know how to butter up?

And who said a boy can't learn anything new?

He struck deals, pardon me, he got quests from all the NPCs who met him. You want butter me up! Hah! I will praise you to sky while smiling, make it impossible for you to not give me heavy rewarded quests.

The autonomy of NPCs was not fixed. Just like they could like you or hate you, the rewards could be more or less. 2 Recipe cards can turn three, 50 coins can turn in to 60, a potion or level 2 cloak can be added quietly. Even so, their generosity had limits.

For example, the village chief. He had highest power and autonomy. Yet, he would not place a family heirloom as quest reward.

Saachi was type of miser who would count pennies left behind as tips. Would he give up the chance? Moreover, his bonus multiplier meant that even smallest increase would bring significant increase in rewards.

"Dear sir, thank you for opening up the warehouse for me. It was very urgent situation. However I could see it was a bit special. I don't want you to suffer just because you helped me. Can you just get me another place? It need not be warehouse too. A room or a shed also works. A place where animals or people won't walk through. I have complete faith in you and villagers. No one would even think of stealing from me. So even a shed is good enough for me."

Village chief's face bloomed. In a hurry, he had opened up special warehouse and he was wondering how to take it back. Niyam's words were like finding an oasis in middle of desert. He could not give him other warehouses as they were very much needed for storing goods before winter started in earnest.

But he could have this nobleman as guest in his home and give him a room for his private use. This way he could maintain a harmonious relationship with him.

And with a click of fingers, he did just that and Niyam became esteemed guest of village chief.

The cook was ready to prepare the feast. The chief was ready to open up old bottle of 100 blossom wine( his most precious wine, each cup costing over 1000 coins). Niyam refused them and went on his way to clear the quests.

He was also following the advice he had given to other alchemists.

He had new sets of potions, a level 3 long staff, 2 level 3 wands and old wands. He finally purchased all cloth armour parts. He got bonuses on purchasing at each place. No, no, not bonus multiplier; this bonus was just like a wink from the NPCs. So even his inventory bags got upgraded. The NPCs who had extorted coins to teach AoE spells came and taught again, increasing the proficiency in the skills by large margin.

He happily skipped and hopped and went to monster maps. His manual control was getting better. He could gauge the aggro range of a monster. So what else is there to be done?

Try to gather the monsters and kill them with AoE spells. If many did not die, just run till you are out of aggro range. And ...try again, and again....rinse and repeat. He tried fire, water, earth, lightning, ice, air....all sorts of things. Only thing limiting him was CD, cool down of MP potions.

Even the cost of MP potions no longer stifled him.

He could buy the raw ingredients in shop very cheaply. And he could make as many potions he wanted, without having to worry about space to keep potions or need to sell them.

Inspite of murdering monsters of maps in multiple waves and foraging in between ( Can't help it, he had to increase the level of foraging too. Anyway, it was a way to spend time while waiting for monsters to respawn), his level bar did not increase too much. A whole day within game and spending most of it in monster hunting, his EXP even with occasional bonus multiplier was not going beyond half level.

Saachi was feeling good though. He could still play for few more hours today. He might just party with Kylie, Bree and Royo ( tag along should not be mentioned first) later. The percentage of level may rise up again.

Though he was not worried about hunting in dark, he came back to the village. He dumped some things in guestroom, purchased few more things and entered alchemy trial room.

He would make few older potions for warm up and start creating new ones. Bigger potions, potions of higher levels...all tried. Now, branching out in different path - poisons, antidotes and more. Obviously these poisons worked only on low level monsters.
