Chapter 29 - Can I use this Warehouse longer?

By the time, Saachi woke up , changes were happening in real life and in game. People turned mad. This period was the time to shine. Game was still promoted. If one made significant alteration, even if it is just buying millions of worth junk accessories, one would be famous. Level 5 player lists were released in many villages. Won't you know, most of them belonged to guilds, clans...

Another round of publication drive to pull in the sheep, sorry, new players.

The forum...

All sorts of questions were asked. Moderator answered non spoiler ones.

One of the burning questions - when can we head to town? In town, we can cover coins to cash.

The answer was not at all vague. Quest has to be completed to open up portals to reach towns. What quest? Whom to seek? Moderator made no reply.

PK players who were reset with liabilities...well, they tried to make it a big deal. Out of millions of people playing, if few, less than hundred complained, what will happen? Tch, sour grapes. The red player who had almost won could have made sure that the news gained traction, but he was unwilling to let others know that he had lost. Lost to newbies. Lost in hands of a mage who f****g did not even use magic. So the matter just went silent.

But will that red player remain silent? Will he have idea to harass the party, especially the mage? Will he wait till he becomes strong again to have a fight?

Ah! Who cares? It's not like Saachi and others can do anything about it. Only thing they can do is face it.

Saachi surfed the net while wolfing down some food. It was instant, mild spicy and hot. That was all he perceived. His sleep - awake cycle had been disrupted, not that he cared.

He checked if there were any meetings or classes he had to attend compulsorily, to make sure he adjusted gaming schedule.

He updated details of few prominent people and their support even as he wondered if this would help him. The madness and mayhem in his own village showed that the game was very volatile right now.

Who would have expected so many players would die repeated within 2 days of death penalty application and so many had to reset? Who knows how many more villages had nearly all players reset somewhere else? Who knows how many noobs went into reincarnation cycle? The gaming company was not releasing the details, but it didn't mean that did not happen.

Few sites had sprouted up willing to make money in early days. They were ready to pay cash for goods. This was the prime time to make money. Once coins to cash conversion started, the bargain could be struck with cash or coins, based on seller's preference.

Were these sites even valid? Were they scams? He marked the sites to follow up and went into pod to enter the game.

These sites might look dubious but the businessmen would have understood what was happening in behind the scenes. This was way for few investor's of game to make money on the side.

So it was totally shady yet not a scam.

Many super guilds had approached these sites to swallow up the stocks. But these sites managed by a same entity turned out to be only money minded. They never cared about face, favour, prestige and other intangible things. Money was their God. It was their first line and last line. No credits allowed. No partial payment allowed.

Money might be just a number for these guilds and super guilds, but even they would try to squeeze money out of air.

All this matter was way out of reach to Saachi. He was now ready to savour the feel of revered in a novice village. It was like some one from city was just passing through and decided to stay for sometime. The attitude and service towards them would be beyond the normal. Now, Saachi could enjoy that feeling.

Before that ...he had something else to do.

Forceful logouts were not considered deserting. Other log outs were reset. So when Saachi came in to check player conditions post quest, he found that the village now had less than 100 players.

Even if they just stayed, they got some bonus for surviving quest period. Now that the monopolies were removed, the shops in village sold potions at normal rate. So he gave back the potions he had taken if they wanted it back, or just paid money to others who asked for it.

And he gave a tip for each one, regardless of whether one listened or not. ' Stop lifestyle skills, increase the levels before a new batch of players came to village.'

He would see if any followed his advice. Only based on their behaviours ,the step could be taken.
