"Makena, are you ready?!!!" Cory yell of enthusiasm was loud enough to be heard upstairs. Where I was getting ready to leave for the event, trying to put on the second leg of my shoe.

"Quit yelling!!" Aurum cautioned by also yelling, "Ever heard of using your bedroom voice?"

"Darling, I don't even use my bedroom voice in the bedroom." I could imagine the mischievous smirk on Corianne's face when she continued with, "Especially not when Jacob ensures I'm as loud as possible."

That was enough to make me gag as I shook my head, despite knowing that they both can't see me. I bet Aurum also gagged and stuck out her tongue at our friend.
