Lucas' Thoughts

It was about the time that Eva got up and stood in front of him or maybe it was when she didn't say anything to his apology.

Or maybe it was when her knees buckled under her and he caught her in his arms. The buzzing in his head, that always put Eva before everything else, was gone.

How long had he been running purely on his true feelings for her and not because the imprint told him to be close to her?

The increasing shows of emotion that he just could not resolve? Testing his boundaries with her little by little?

He had finally done it this time, but here she was in his arms again.

The empty space in his head made him feel like he lost something, but he finally felt at peace as well.

The sweet flowery scent of her hair calmed his thoughts and he couldn't resist running his hand through her hair.

In this moment he did not feel pain, worry, or the anxiety that had been eating at him.

"You scared me."
