A Noble Daughter's Reprisal

After returning to her room at the inn Eva pulled the window open for light and unfurled the note that Lyra had passed to her.

[There is a secret to the quest I am giving you today. Make sure to bring the following items with you.]

A list of items that appeared to be for mining were listed. Eva scratched her head in confusion. She threw the note into the dying fire. The orange flames engulfed the paper as Eva pondered why she would need mining tools for a simple subjugation quest.

There was no real point in second guessing Lyra, so she bought the items listed in the market and made sure to buy extra food for the trip. It didn't feel like this quest would be as simple as it appeared.

Now that she thought about it, it was quite strange that goblins would even appear so close to the Capital. Wouldn't this normally be a task for the local knight's order? Why send off a request to the Adventurer's Guild? It felt like she had more questions than answers.
