A Bold Declaration

Eva had lost track of how much she had drunk and it did not come as a surprise to her when the view of the pub suddenly spun as she stood on her feet. She placed her hand on her head and used the other to find the wall.

"I have never seen the likes of you in a place like this, beautiful."

He had just gotten back into the city. Despite his guard's many protests, Lucas could not stay away. Checking in on Eva was the only thing keeping him from going insane.

The politics of becoming the first elf noble were slowly driving him to insanity. Still the elven council pushed him to gain more and more influence and pushed their impossible tasks upon him.

The other day he had been promoted to a high rank noble. The human nobles' faces looked as though they meant to murder him right then and there in the throne room. He would need to hire more knights just so that he could have some peace from all of the assassination attempts.
