New Cloak

The light inside of the house was low, only the flickering light from the streetlamps came in through a window near the door. However, Eva did not need a light to know where Lucas was right now.

Her back was against the wall beside the shut door and the intense stare that followed the door closing had captured her. She felt his breath on her cheek, his body only inches from her own.

"Lucas." Eva's voice was so soft that without Lucas' sharp hearing he would have missed it.

He groaned inwardly. It wouldn't take much for him to lose control if she kept saying his name in such a way. His name falling from her lips was like a spell that unraveled all his self control.

He inched closer to her face and the beating of her heart increased. It was the only invitation he needed to claim her lips. He picked her up and headed towards the bed.
