Torture

Shelley regained consciousness after 15 minutes and saw Iyare sitting on the chair looking at Cece and Josephine, who was still unconscious but tied to their chairs.

Abel had already hacked Cece's private phone and tried to trace the number she spoke to last night, but it was impossible.

Should we ask Mr Charles to get his contact to investigate this number, Sam suggested. Mr Charles was his late boss's best friend and trusted subordinate, so he felt his help would make things easier.

Iyare, who has been impressed by Sam's ability so far, felt irritated. 'How could he be as stupid as her late father?' she thought, narrowing her eyes at him.

Shelley did not want to air her view on the topic since she was unsure who to trust. She would be done for if one of Mr Charles's men was there with them, then So she decided to play with words instead.

"I think at this point; everyone should be a suspect. Especially the board members of Ona groups, that includes Mr Charles," she said.

Sam thought about what Shelley said. The girl was right; at this point, no one should be trusted, especially Mr Charles, since Iyare's death greatly benefited him. He nodded his head in agreement with Shelley.

Sam cursed himself for allowing his sentiment into a severe case like this; how could he think of asking a potential suspect for help. "Abel hacked the communication system and tried to find out the location the number was active," he instructed. Abel nodded and immediately left the torture room to the computer room to do as he was told.

"Let begin," Sam instructed Andrew. Andrew immediately poured iced cold water on Cece and Josephine's unconscious bodies, making them wake up in shock.

Andrew looked like a nice guy, but he was cold-hearted when getting his job done.

"I will ask you this question once; if you answer with the truth, I promise I will not hurt you, but if you try to play smart, I will make your night mere your reality," Andrew informed Cece and Josephine, who just regain their consciousness. The two ladies were dazed; it was only after hearing Andrew's words that they regained their sense.

The two ladies both looked around them; what they saw was chilling. The room was surrounded by different torturing equipment. Josephine's hands begin to shake. She felt sweat running down her body, even if she just got bathed with iced cold water.

Cece was shocked and terrified, 'how did they find her out. Did Josephine stupidly open her mouth?' she thought. She took a deep breath and tried to hide her emotions as usual.

She must have been unconscious for hours before they got to wherever the room was, they, right? That means Charles should have noticed something was wrong. She did explain things to him last night, so she was sure he would take some precautions.

She has lived in the mansion for twenty years, and she believes she knows every inch of the house. So she never guessed she was still inside the mansion, and it had only been fifteen minutes since she lost consciousness

"Josephine, I will start with you. Who paid you to poison Miss Iyare," Andrew asked directly.

Josephine was brilliant; she knew it was stupid for her to lie about the poison now. Besides, she had already noticed a lot of torture equipment, and she was sure the man before her was not afraid to use them on her. Honestly, she did not want any use on her because she could already imagine the pain.

"I don't know; the person never told me. He just contacted me on the phone and gave the instructions. Promising to reward me handsomely if I carried out the task," Josephine told a half-truth, half-lies.

Charles was the one who contacted her. In fact, he got her the job here one year ago to poison the big boss. But she was scared of telling the truth because she was sure that even if Iyare spared her, Charles will not.

Her answer convinced Iyare and the rest. After all, whoever was behind this may take precautions in case she got caught.

Andrew nodded his head, seeing that Josephine was willing to corporate.

Cece became confused when she heard Josephine's answer. If Josephine did not say anything, why was she here and tied to a chair like Josephine?

"So tell me, was Cece involved in the plan too?" Andrew asked a tricky question

Josephine's heart missed a beat as she could not find a perfect answer. If she drags Cece into this, Mr Charles will come after her, but if she says she doesn't know, she is unsure how much they already knew. She was not sure if the question was a fact or just a psychological trick.

"I informed her about it since she was in charge of overseeing all the activities in the house, and I couldn't do it successfully without her help," Josephine answered.

Josephine found a middle point where she felt Andrew would be convinced by her answer and Cece would not be questioned since her response suggests that Cece has very few details.

Andrew's lips curve up. He knew that she was lying, which also means she may have lied when she said, she did not see the person who offered her the deal.

Andrew was aware of Cece's visit last night, plus he listened to Cece's conversations over the phone. One thing was clear whoever sent them was powerful, and Josephine was scared of that person.

Josephine, who thought she had played with words perfectly, soon felt a keen object penetrating her right leg, causing her to scream unconsciously.

Her leg was held in between a sharp hook that Andrew was currently fastening. Josephine continued to scream as she could not bear the excruciating pain. Just when she thought her bone would crack, Andrew stopped.

"I told you to tell me the truth, no lies, no tricks, but you are playing smart," Andrew said with a smirk on his lips. Shelley and Iyare were currently enjoying the scene. For a strange reason, Iyare noticed she enjoyed the scream of agony she had just heard.

Cece Broke into a cold sweat; what has she gotten herself into? She never thought getting caught would be this scary. She wonders how much longer Josephine will be able to bear the pains.

"Answer my question, who paid you to poison Miss Iyare?" Andrew asked again, with a calm but threatening voice.

Josephine took a deep breath, trying to find her voice and keep her sobbing at bay, even though her leg was still in pain and she was losing a lot of blood each second.

"I told you already, I don't k... Ahhhhh," another scream left her mouth before she could complete her statement. Andrew pulled off one of her nails when he heard her trying to repeat her lies.

"Are you ready to talk now?" Andrew asked, after letting her cry for a minute.

Josephine swallowed her pain and nodded her head immediately, scared that if she delayed, she would get hurt again. What has she gotten herself into? Why on earth did she even add poison to the coffee yesterday? Why did it not cross her mind that it could be a setup? 'Stupid,' she cursed herself mentally

"I don't know; it was Cece who brought the deal," Josephine told another half-lie, a half-truth. Yes, it was Cece that introduced her to Charles and informed her of the task at hand. She hard to push it to Cece. She could no longer bear the pains.

She was already feeling dizzy, and she felt a splitting headache. She was not ready to die; she was too young to just sacrifice her life like this.

Cece's heart missed a beat when she heard what Josephine said. Andrew knew Josephine was probably lying again, but she could be right, judging from Cece's phone conversation last night.

Sam noticed the look on Josephine's face and immediately took the first aid box to dress her injuries. Of course, this treatment was just to keep her alive.

"Cece, would you like to start talking, or do you want it the hard way. Rest assured, I have all day to play like this. No one is coming to stop me or save you," Andrew informed her with a grin on his lips. He always enjoyed torturing people, especially those that backstabbed people.

As a bodyguard, his job was to protect his boss, so how could he take it lightly with the people trying to kill his boss.

Cece's heart was beating very fast. For the first time in a long time, she lost control of her emotions. She breathes in and out to compose herself and keep her fears at bay. She decided not to say anything. She knew it was best to compose herself and act less scared. Sam watched as she tried to calm herself and act strong. He became curious; how much pain would she be able to bear? He asked himself. Cece kept a sight face and looked like she was unaffected by her environment.

"Ahh...' a scream escaped her mouth when she felt a hot iron pressed against her skin. She did not expect it. She was mentally prepared for the same torture Josephine was given. But the hot iron caught her off guard. She immediately took a deep breath and closed her mouth. Iyare lips curved into a bright smile, watching Cece act strong. "This is going to be interesting," she told herself.

After watching her reaction, Andrew smiled to himself. He loved it when someone was acting tough like Cece was doing. He could use more extreme measures.

"A woman's face is her prized possessions; how about we redecorate her face," Shelley suggested.

"That could work," Andrew replied. Not as extreme as he would have wanted, but he needed to break her will.

Picking up a keen blade, Andrew passed it across her face, gently making sure she felt the movement of the blade, giving her a zebra caught.

Cece screamed louder than before; she had never gone through such pains in her entire life. The hot iron pain came fast, But Andrew was teasing her with the blade, which was already dripping her blood. Besides, her face was very soft and delicate.

Iyare took a look at the time and noticed she just had thirty minutes left before she would have to kill someone. As much as she would love to watch this show all day, Time was a luxury she could not afford currently.

She was trying to decide which of the two women she should kill but found it hard to choose. Just when she took a knife to kill Josephine, she felt Cece was more beneficial to them since they needed to get more information from her.

Someone pulled open the room door.

Everybody turned to look in the direction of the door. Even Cece turned to look, hoping that Charles had sent his men to save her.
