As Iyare walked closer to the torture room, she felt her anger rising. She never planned on killing anyone to create a false past for herself. She wanted to get her father's contact and spread rumours that her father had trained her.
After all, once she got hold of that information in the safe, she could easily play the role, but it seemed someone would have to die. They were already attacking her, so she did not have the time to learn all she needed to. Besides, the two assassins came knocking willing. If she let them go today, they would come back another day.
"Turn off the camera," Iyare said, stopping at the monitor room beside the torture room. Adam immediately did as told and followed them into the torture room.
Inside the torture room, Andrew was already set to torture the truth out of them. "Stop," Iyare said. If they were just assassins like Sam said. She wanted to give them a quick death. After all, they only pulled the trigger. The real enemy was still out there.
Andrew stopped what he was doing and stepped back.
"Have they said anything?" she asked. Andrew shakes his head to mean no. Iyare lips curved into a smirk. I have just one question.
"What was your mission tonight? Test my security or kill me?" Iyare asked straightforwardly. If they came to kill her, she would just kill them in self-defence, but if just to test her security, she might just give them a chance to live.
The men were shocked; why would she ask such a question? Was she not supposed to ask who sent them and other related questions. Why ask something so stupid and unimportant?
"Both," one of the men replied. Iyare smiled at him, but that smile froze when she noticed his middle button was a bug. She noticed the tiny red light on the button. Amina was the one that told her how to identify a bug. Seeing this, she hopes the girl comes to Ua since she needs her.
She turned around and walked to Adam. She moved closer to him. "There is a bug in the room track the receiver," she whispered to him. She ensured her voice was low so that only Adam heard what she said.
Adam was shocked, he wondered how she noticed the bug, but he did not ask. They could always talk about it later. He walked out of the room to do as he was told.
Iyare turned around and took her seat. She signals Sam and Adrian to come closer. "remove all the pieces of jewelry on them," Iyare instructed in a low voice, making sure the men could not hear her. She was scared that they were falling into their trap, and these men intentionally got captured to get the chance to kill her. Without asking why, Sam and the rest went to work removing all the jewelry, the men had on.
The men secretly grind their teeth in frustration. They allow themselves to get captured on purpose to get into the house. Then find a way to Kill Iyare when her bodyguard lets their guide down. They knew it was a suicide mission, but it would be worth it since their family would be heavily compensated by their boss. But with their jewelry taking off, they knew the mission was already a failure since they would be unable to free themselves without their rings.
Thirty minutes later, the men noticed Adam walk back into the room and nodded his head at Iyare. They wondered what she was planning; she seemed more cunny than they had expected. Her facial expression was unreadable.
"Why are you wearing a bug?" Iyare asked. The people watching from the other side froze. How on earth did she notice? She never got too close to them, and the bug was almost invisible to see when a person was not close to them.
"So that should we get captured, our boss will be able to tell if we betrayed him. If we tell you anything, our families and loved ones will be killed. So we are not telling you anything" One of the men spat at Iyare. He was hoping to get her angry; maybe she would order for them to get killed or torture them for the truth; after all, their boss was trying to learn about Iyare's character since he could not get any information about her.
Iyare did not respond. She walked over to the man and pulled off the button with the bug. she then handed it over to Peter.
"Lucky you, I don't want your innocent family to pay for your wrongdoing," Iyare said, picking up a knife. She was smiling brightly like someone who had just received her favourite present. "Why don't I just let him watch how honourable you are'" she said while looking at the knife in her hands as if it was a prized possession. She murtted the line Louis told her to say when she wanted to create her past. Before the men could figure out what she meant, she slit their throats in one fast movement.
Then with a wild grin playing on her lips, she collected the button from Peter, who was holding it in place for whosoever was watching it.
"I will find you," she spoke to the person on the bug. Since he was using the bug to monitor his men, she was sure it was voice-enabled. The person on the other side froze. Looking at Iyare, he felt like he was staring at her father.
He knew the mission had already failed, and his men would be killed. but he did not expect Iyare to slit their throat without flicking an eye. "Was she just like her father?" he asked himself.
Iyare dropped the button and stepped on it. Suddenly, she felt dark clouds covering her, and she fell unconscious.
Miss...
Everyone in the room panicked. "Call the doctor," Sam instructed as he picked her up. They had already witnessed her kill someone like this, so they were not shocked like the first time.
"Peter disposed of these bodies," Sam gave another instruction as he walked out of the torture room carrying Iyare. He prayed and hoped his boss was okay. He even blamed himself for telling her about the incident. He should have waited till the next day. Iyare must be tired from working all day long, he tried to convince himself that she was fine. He took her straight to her room and lay her down. He then waited for the doctor to arrive and check on her.
