Club Roar 2 (Ch.23)

"Now here sits the center of attention and am I loving it?! My friend and I were wondering if we could get you both a drink or two?" A human male asked as he came up behind Kaylani.

Kelevi had known someone would approach his beloved at one point or the other, but it still did not make him feel any less angered as he watched the two human males approach her.

Kelevi frowned as he watched Kaylani glance up from her drink to see the hazel eyed brunette gazing down at her.

However Kelevi was relieved when Kaylani immediately declined their advances.

"No, thank you." Kaylani declined politely,

Much to Kelevi's delight, she turned her gaze away afterwards, not even regarding the two men with the slightest bit of interest.

The loud female also passed the two admirers a bored glance before glancing over at Kaylani.

Kelevi guessed the two had shared a personal joke or something like that as Kaylani bit her lip to keep herself from breaking out into laughter.

"Oh come on pretty, don't be a kill joy. One drink won't hurt." The friend of the brunette convinced.

Kelevi wondered why these humans just could not get the hint, his eyes flashing with rage as the annoying males did not seem intent on relenting anytime soon,

It seemed Kaylani shared Kelevi's frustration as she sighed, passing a glance over to the loud female.

"Not interested." The loud female said to the two males in a dismissive tone as she grabbed Kaylani's hand and pulled her along with her to the dance floor.

Kaylani laughed quietly as they stepped into the midst of gyrating bodies and the loud female whooped excitedly as she danced to the beat.

Kelevi's hand clenched into fists to restrain himself as he watched his beloved slowly move to the beat,

She was clearly hesitant at first but in a moment, she seemed to ease into the atmosphere and began gyrating her hips with reckless abandon.

Kelevi felt his lips go dry as he watched his beloved twist her endowments in a sensual, extremely provocative dance and everything else around Kelevi faded to the background.

All Kelevi could see was her, all he wanted to see was her, the disco lights of the club shone down on her in it's various hues, creating an enchanting ambience that left Kelevi mystified.

Kelevi leaned against the wall, hoping the cold temperature of the wall would ease his heated body as he could not divert his gaze from his beloved, completely transfixed.

Every step she took, every move, every sway, every tilt of her head, everything about her had Kelevi's undead heart trembling in ways he had never thought possible.

Had the Creator made him wait all this centuries only to have him die of this maddening desire?

Kelevi sucked in a deep breath to calm himself, running a hand through his hair.

His hands dropped back to his side when Kaylani stopped dancing and Kelevi frowned slightly, finally taking notice of the loud female who was whispering some words to his beloved.

Kelevi tuned his hearing, filtering out the unwanted sounds to focus on their conversation,
