An Offer From The Loud Female (Ch.29)

Kelevi grimaced slightly knowing what this loud female had picked up on was Kaylani's terror, only that she had gotten a completely different understanding of it.

The memory of the frantic, horrified look in his beloved's eyes still ached Kelevi's heart,

Kelevi was not certain how anyone could mistake terror for chemistry, but he guessed he could not put anything past this loud female,

Kelevi felt the sane thing to do at this point would have been to correct the loud female's misplaced believe of what had happened earlier today,

Yet Kelevi found he did like the loud female's conclusion and most especially that chemistry she spoke of,

And so Kelevi kept silent, interested to hear what ideas the loud female would possibly have.

Kelevi had been wracking his brains for a way to diffuse this tense situation with his beloved and start all over without the horror of their first encounter in the alleyway forever remaining a barrier between them.

And up until this moment, Kelevi had no luck. Terin had also not been very helpful, his suggestions ranging between abduction and casting the compel spell.

Kelevi was completely unwilling to forcefully capture his beloved or mess with her mind using his abilities,

What he wanted was to be true and transparent with her and he would never mess things up any further by using magic on his beloved...it was just wrong.

Now although Kelevi found mortals bothersome and did not favour this loud female at all, he found if she could provide a solution to his predicament, he was willing to listen.

However the very words the loud female began with had Kelevi hissing inaudibly and struggling for calm

"Let's be clear on something, Kaylani is currently in a relationship with a guy she genuinely loves...at least she believes she does." The loud female began,

Clearly, this reminder did not sit well with Kelevi who already had his own plans on how he would deal with the mortal who dared covet his beloved in the first place.

"So why are you willing to help me?" Kelevi asked instead,

"Because I want the best for Lani and Damon just isn't it. Lani won't hear of it and I need someone who can make her see that... that someone is you. You help me, I help you... it's a win-win situation." The loud female replied with a shrug,

Kelevi felt that did make sense, he was beginning to feel this loud female was perhaps not so bad after all, at least she could see clearly that whoever that Damon was, he was no good for Kaylani.

Kaylani was his, how could anyone else ever be good enough?

"Now before I stick my neck out for you, I want to know clearly what intentions you have for my Lani...cause if you make me regret this,"

"Well, Lani would already have killed you first, and I will be right there with bright ideas on how to dispose the body... your body." The loud female continued in a tone of deadly promise.

Kelevi quirked a brow in amusement but nodded once.

"I would rather die than hurt her...you can be sure of that." Kelevi assured.

The loud female simply stared at Kelevi for a moment as if contemplating if she could believe his words, but eventually she nodded in approval.
