The Asgardian researcher

The Asgardian in eastern robes gave short glances to Cain's team, Clegane and Bruno. Then, as he quickly assessed what happened, he threw the shadow-wrapped El to Cain.

Cain gently caught her while panicking and tried to undo the bindings around her nose and mouth. However, as he was in the middle of doing so, the shadows suddenly melted around El. An aged voice then resounded.

"She is fine; I made her lose consciousness while suppressing the backlash she was about to receive. The Force rebound she would have had to endure is astounding; even Sun-ranked warriors would have died, let alone one of a lesser rank. What a frightening little orc."

Cain felt a huge burden being lifted from his back. As he checked El's condition, the swordsman noticed that aside from the seven blood trails around her face, she was fine. Also, it was worth noting that she seemed to be breathing normally, as if in peaceful sleep; a coma was still far better than going to Valhalla. He then added.

"Thank you, Vasiliás; however, why did you help us? Bruno had already died, and we used our skills against Asgardians. As an enforcer, I had assumed you would have already aimed at us and brought us to Mundi Silentii."

The Mundi Silentii, also known as the World of Silence, was an Asgardian prison built over seven millennia ago. It was a massive fortress-like dungeon constructed in a world within the shadows, which meant that anyone without the skill to use shadows would never be able to leave.

Vasiliás had a treasure known as [Yǐng shǒu] shadow hand in Chinese, which allowed him to use shadows as doors, weapons, armor, and so much more. Thus, Rai was both the dungeon's warden and absolute king.

"I was here from the moment your team arrived on the Jeep. While you did assault Asgardians, they were the ones who violated Asgardian law to begin with.

Still, I have no idea how she knew I was here; while losing her reason, she kept looking in my direction. She even hid the real [Gaebolg] in an illusion and had the real one pointed at me even before I arrived.

Even more surprising is that some of her thoughts were in the language of the Gamallrinn. No orc should be capable of speaking it yet; it appears I was the one she was both cursing and waiting for.

Today is the 1st day I arrived here; how is it possible for me to harm her husband? Has her spouse already been drafted by the last two reapings?"

As the Asgardian shared his thoughts, Cain was even more unsettled by what he learned. While Rai Seventh only did arrive in the black hammer, he was part of the Asgardian forces that conquered the earth in EOS40.

No awakener did not know the other moniker for the Asgardian enforcer. "The White-haired necromancer." Death was no escape from this dicktrap; he would kill anyone and anything and will them back to life.

But Cain and his party never encountered him, as they were far too weak when they arrived. As a result, they were among those who surrendered without fighting.

Why did El hate the Asgardian so much that she was willing to die from spell overuse for him? He did hear her say that they were married. But he would never forget something so significant. Why was she convinced they already were? Even while knowing her unsettling tendencies, Rai never personally hurt Cain. So why did she still target him?

Even more surprising was when did El have the time to learn the language of Gamallrinn? Cain didn't even know what the language of Gamallrinn was. So it seemed they had much to talk about when El woke up.

"I do not know Vasiliás, I have no idea why she hates you, nor how she chanted in the language you just mentioned. Still, thank you for stopping her rampage; she would have died if you hadn't saved her."

Not even bothering to reply to the blond swordsman, the Asgardian enforcer faced the pitiful Asgardian doorman lying on the floor a few feet away. He had a look of pure disdain as he lightly waved his hand.

Clegane, who was silently crawling away, suddenly froze as a giant shadow emerged from the ground and ate him. The same thing also happened to Bruno's corpse, which was still smoking a few kilometers away.

The halberdier then appeared in front of Vasiliás with his mouth gagged and arms and legs bound together. He was sweating up a storm as he saw the frigid eyes the enforcer was looking at him with.

"Doga Houdor Codename Clegane, you have violated several Asgardian laws which revolve around chivalry and honor. Your crimes include 659 counts of r*pe, 451 counts of murder, and 114 counts of bribery, to name a few.

In addition, your actions today led to the death of an Asgardian. You not only spurred him to join your delinquency and debauchery but also abandoned him to die in your cowardice as an orc mage assaulted him.

But your gravest mistake, you Sansorðinn piece of trash, was turning your back on a Fullrettirsorð; Indirectly slapping the face of the Allfather and spitting on the halls of the Aesir.

You are no longer worthy of being called an Asgardian. For these transgressions, I hereby sentence you to death by serving as a guard of Mundi Silentii."

Guards were always in short supply in the Asgardian prisons, mostly since Asgardians all chased after honor and glory. Though Mundi Silentii lacked guards for a different reason, the world not only saw the absence of light but also heard strange whispers of demonic origin 24/7. Most Asgardians went crazy after spending 200–300 years there.

Eventually, Rai could only begin drafting corpses with shadow energy to make Zombie automatons. As a Sun-ranked warrior, he could will life into corpses provided he gave them enough juice. Thus, Rai started creating shadow zombies that each lasted five hundred years at the minimum. The bodies of Asgardians did not rot and only started drying up past two hundred years.

Clegane didn't know when Bruno's corpse appeared beside him, but he started trembling from terror when he did. Vasiliás was not feared because he had reached the summit; it was because he turned entire armies into his soldiers on any battlefield he participated in.

For an Asgardian, turning into a brainless automaton forced to fight until their bones broke was the most frightening. Primarily, because if the egos were still alive when the automaton was created, not only would the consciousness become immortal in the confines of its mind, but it would also be able to hear the whispers of the demons for all eternity.

Shadows suddenly emerged from the ground and entered Bruno's corpse and Clegane's limbs like snakes. The two were lifted and made to do T poses as shadows filled in the missing bits for Bruno while it bound Clegane's.

Clegane felt his will over his body slowly disappearing as the shadows entered his limbs. He tried to struggle as much as possible and wished Freya would give him a breakthrough. Noticing his attempts to call force, Rai gave a soft chuckle and softly said.

"It's useless, Doga, not unless your mind is strong enough to pass through 5-Sun; even Freya can't help you escape me. So calmly accept your faith honorably and be useful when Ragnarök arrives."

After a few moments, Doga and Bruno both fell to the ground and slowly got up to kneel with one foot on the ground in Front of Vasiliás. The Asgardians were now wrapped in fire-like shadows that flickered with the wind. The white-haired enforcer then uttered.

"Cataclysm Skill: [REBORN]."

Force in large quantities charged the two kneeling figures wrapped in shadow—alarming everyone around the fortress. Cataclysm skills were abilities learned at the Sun rank, each capable of unimaginable power. However, each one also reveals the darkest desires of the warriors who wield them.

The two shadows glowed with sharp energy like unsheathed swords. Afterward, they stood up and placed their right arms across their chest in an Asgardian salute. After doing so, the shadows around them disappeared, leaving the original Bruno and Clegane dressed in black armor. Both had eyes that showed no emotion nor sanity as they started slowly merging with the ground.

As if it was beneath his notice Rai then turned to look at Cain and the rest. Then immediately saying

"Arthur Fourreau Codename Cain, Jin Ouragan Codename Seth, Elaine Légère Codename Lilith and Sklirós Dun Paladin Codename Abel, I have come for you."

Hearing the enforcer's declaration, Cain's team felt their hearts drop to the floor; the Asgardians around the gate felt both jealous and puzzled as to why the renowned enforcer specifically came to Earth for a bunch of orcs.
