Brian took a glance at his levels and calculated the time required to level up one more and unlock the storage function.
'It took one whole night to grind and get 3 levels. Levelling up each time was more difficult than the earlier one. So, according to the current difficulty- killing 2 more carnivorous animals would be enough'
"I will do it later. Checking on the progress of that new scientist comes first" Brian spoke to himself.
He had been using his entire night to kill sleeping animals or flee from their herds.
On reaching the wooden house, he found out that Jack was sleeping soundly while Allen J Gard was getting accustomed to his new lab.
Brian greeted the two of them before dozing off himself. He had been extremely tired after hunting the whole night. Before sleeping, he didn't forget to order one familiar to keep guard while the other to hunt. Even though they fetched very few points, but something is better than nothing.

[Friend Chat] (Friend Count-2)
Ashok: "Hello!"
"Hello!"
"Are you there?"
"Reply as soon as possible"
"I just got an option to get [Selected] by a God named 'Ptah'. What should I do???"
"Huh?"
Brian woke up abruptly after hearing about the repeated messages. He ignored the first two in his sleep but then instinctively became alert and read the message from his father.
He was extremely surprised about the content present in them. One must know that the memories about 'How to get [Selected]' were all erased from the memory fragments he received. It was as if they never existed. Brian also wondered about the cause but was unable to find any good reason for it so he threw that thought for later thinking.
But now, when he joined two and two together, it seems that the picture was becoming more and more clear. It seemed that the Gods they heard in the mythologies were spreading their legends on earth to gain faith from humans.
"But why are they selecting us for something then?" Brian wondered
He was also very unsure about why did everyone get transmigrated to this [Selection Area] at this particular time.
He only had questions but no answers to his current curious mind.
He shook his head to remind himself about the current situation. He didn't study mythology to the very core, but he knew that Ptah was the blacksmith god mentioned in Egyptian mythology.
Alexander: "Dad, I am also unsure about this situation. I only know that Ptah is a blacksmith God who is mentioned in the Egyptian mythology."
"I also had one doubt- Did you create something new recently, or helped some of the blacksmith dwarfs you recruited?"
Ashok: "Uhh… I was fiddling a bit with Aluminium, Iron, Lead and Germanium to try and make a nice alloy out of them but the result wasn't satisfactory"
"Well, I helped a small kid living close by and made him a knife recently"
Alexander: "Well, okay"
"As for your current situation, my thoughts say that no invigilator wouldn't want to see the full potential of a student. If we go by that logic, then your selection is a scam made to trick you. I suggest that you should show that God a bit more of what you can do and maybe you can attract someone better than him"
"Those are just my thoughts and you are free to do as you fit. After all, I am nobody to make decisions for you"
[Anahita gazes at you]
As soon as he finished sending the message, Brian received a system notification.
He had no clue who the person/God named Anahita was. Brian sent a message on the Human chat asking for its information just to try his luck while determining his future plan.

[Human Chat]
"Guys, does anyone know who Anahita is?"
"Everyone, Do you know who I saw today?"
"To the fellow above, I have no interest in knowing about whatever shit you want to say?"
"You are looking for a fight mister?"
"By the way, Is there any helpless lady present in the chat? I am quite a strong man, you can definitely come to my place and rest?"
"What is your address 'Mr. Strongman' I don't see any option to reveal my location?"
Brian's messages got drowned by the barrage of hate speech in the [Human Chat] He himself was astonished by the number of cuss words flowing in the chat.
"Forget it, I will send a message at night, when people are not that energetic" He murmured to himself while trying to calm his heart down.
Brian knew his current state very well. He had chosen one of the worst and the best 'help' available. He would've struggled to gather even the essential food supplies if his parents hadn't taken care of it in the earlier stages.
Presently, he was nothing but a young master who had his parents work hard for him while he was contributing almost nothing to the progress of the plan.
"Ahh! Fuck It. Time for the Plan B"
He had to make a few preparations for Plan B, but before that, he also wanted to access the storage function giving him a convenient option in later future.

[You have levelled up]
A bright smile broke on Brian's face. It wasn't because of the level up, but it was because of another information he got.
[Check your new skills in your 'help' description]
This was an unexpected surprise for him. While choosing this 'help' he had no plan about getting skills for it. He couldn't even imagine a skill for his 'help'.
He instantly clicked on his 'help'

Brian widened his eyes while reading the skill description. If what the description said was true, then he would directly become overpowered in this world.
Suddenly, his face changed and turned serious. He threw a dagger in the direction he felt the threat came from and used the opportunity to take cover behind a tree.
"Swishh"
The dagger made its way in the general direction of the enemy and naturally failed to hit the target, but it still gave an opportunity to Brian to take cover and look at his surroundings to take advantage in the upcoming fight.
"WHO!?"
Brian shouted towards the unknown enemy while trying to distract him and get slight information about the enemy. It was rather a dumb thing to ask about the enemy in the middle of a fight, but it was strangely helpful most of the times. He was aware that fighting the unknown was scarier than fighting a barrage of tanks because you're fighting style depends on the enemy.
If his enemy replies to his question, then he is either stupid or overconfident about his hiding spot. Generally, such people consider themselves as the protagonist after getting a good 'help'.
Brian didn't wait for his enemy to attack and started making plans to make his way toward him. Brian threw a rock present nearby towards the direction he felt the enemy was present.
*Clang*
It seems that the enemy was prepared this time and the rock couldn't even reach a few metres before it was shot.
This time, Brian was able to take a look at what was the weapon his enemy was using and he couldn't help but take a sharp breath looking at the weapon.
It was a dart-type weapon, which was stuck in the rock. Brian wasn't scared of the dart but he was scared about the red liquid that came out of it.
"Poison!!"
Brian quickly calmed himself with the help of his three years of training and started churning his mind to think about what poison was red in colour. He knew that chemical poisons were out of question because very few people could create them in this environment and that person must be a scientist or a professional in creating those, and if he is a professional in creating poisons then he can't be a professional fighter.
'I have no way to collect samples of the poison and nor do I have any way of getting Allen to identify it. The only way left is to fight hard.' Brian decisively made a plan.
He wanted to at least know some more information about the location of his enemy before he made any movements to attack.
There was only one more rock close to him, so he threw it directly upwards making it entirely visible in his sight.
According to his thinking, the enemy might think that it is some kind of weapon and shoot it directly.
*Swoosh*
Just as he predicted the enemy shot a dart which accurately hit the flying rock.
As soon as the rock was hit, Brian saw that the arrow came from 57-degrees North East.
He instantly changed his cover and made his way through the thick forest in that direction. Calculating the average human capacity, he guessed that the enemy can't be much further than 15-20 meter mark.
As he kicked rocks here and there to create distractions and unnecessary noise, he was finally able to reach his calculated location.
When he reached the location, he found that there was a hooded figure on a tall tree nearby and was facing in the opposite direction.
Brian directly came out from his cover and threw a dagger in his direction.
*swoosh*
But as soon as the dagger was about to hit the hooded figure, Brian heard something on his back.
His instincts were on point and he turned his head to look at what was coming in his way while making a huge dive toward his right.
He saw another hooded figure wearing a mask and having a blowgun in his hand.
*Thud*
Brian fell while injuring himself slightly but got up instantly.
Without even the slightest hesitation, he then fired a small arrow from his hidden crossbow toward the masked figure.
*twang*
Unfortunately, the masked figure had finished reloading his blowgun and shot a dart towards Brian.
Brian once again desperately tried to dodge, but the time wasn't enough and he was only able to protect his vitals. The poisonous dart still hit him on the shoulder.
"Ahh!"
Brian let an agonizing scream to bait the enemy that he was injured while crawling his way towards a nearby tree.
"Bang"
While he was crawling, he heard something fall in the masked figure's direction.
When he turned his face to look at the masked figure, there was no sign of him.
While being cautious, Brian got up trying to ignore his pain and made his way to check up on the masked man and finish him if possible.
Reaching closer, Brian threw 5 knives without even checking to avoid anything strange to happen.
Only after making sure that the enemy was killed, Brian removed his mask only to then widen his eyes…
