Chirp, chirp, chirp
The gentle spring breeze moved across Magicia Academy. The grass was green, and the flowers had bloomed again after a deep and cold winter.
Everyone walked around trying to get to their different classes. The atmosphere was bright and friendly as the sun's gentle rays hit the flowers.
Up in the northeastern tower of the school, a teenage girl sat on the window reading a book with clear pictures on a side of the page and words on the other. Her red veil covered her head and she swung her legs as she gently read the book.
Seventeen years old, Elysia quickly dropped the book when she felt her aunt's presence drawing near. She walked to her potion table and started reading a spell book.
"Elysia." Linda walked in looking around. A smile appeared on her face when she saw Elysia reading at the table. "You can go out now. Angel is here to see you."
Elysia quickly closed the spell book and rushed past Linda. "Thanks aunt."
"She wasn't reading, was she?" Linda asked Daria, who stood in her owl form, there. Daria nodded and Linda sighed.
Elysia walked down her tower to meet Angelica, who was sitting outside her tower on the grass with two different baskets.
"Hi Angel." Elysia pulled off her shoes and sat before Angel.
"Elysia. I've missed you." Angel's voice then went down to a whisper. "Did you finish the books?"
"I have one left." Elysia replied.
"I brought you some more and something for us to eat. It's nice to visit Magicia after graduating." Angel said, laying out the different dishes before Elysia. "I also brought your favorite, white truffles and roman grapes."
"Where did you get those? They're rare." Elysia asked, picking the grapes to eat. "Mm, delicious."
"I came here to tell you some good and bad news. The good news is, I'm getting married, and the bad news is I don't want to. And the second bad news is I won't be on this continent. I'll be on the third continent." Angel sighed.
"Wait, what?" Elysia choked.
"Yes I know I'm twenty-two, and I ought to have gotten married since I was eighteen, but I can't escape it again. In fact my wedding is in three days." Angel sighed.
"That's not nice." Elysia groaned. "I'll miss you."
"Me too. But hey I brought you many books, even matured ones." Angel whispered and Elysia smiled. "I'm not actually scared of getting married, I'm scared of the wedding night and having a baby."
"Yeah, I forgot to ask you what happens on wedding nights. I read it, but they don't explain what happens." Elysia frowned behind her veil, which Angel knew because she had been friends with her for ten years now. It was enough time to know all her characters.
"That's the matured one I told you I brought." Angel winked and Elysia shaped her mouth in a 'o' form. "But don't read it today. You have to finish that one and send it to me. Maybe Twilight or Dawn can bring it."
"Yes, maybe I'll send it through Twilight. And you must give him some more berries for me. They are delicious." Elysia hummed as she ate the last berry in the jar, and she pouted seeing it was all gone.
"Here, have the sandwich. I put some grapes in it. You might find some there." Angel smiled.
"Lucinda, why did you arrange a husband for Angel? The girl doesn't want to get married and luckily no one came to seek for her. And now you made someone ask for her hands, what is your problem?" Daria thundered as she appeared in Lucinda's tower.
"I don't see how that concerns you. That girl might later become trouble for us. She's so close to Elysia…."
"That is because they are friends. You don't know how friendship is, that's why you can't recognize it when you see it." Daria thundered and Linda walked in looking at both of them who were snarling at each other.
"And what is it this time? I regret bringing you two together. I should have just stuck with Tia." Linda groaned as she looked at both of them. "Okay. She made arrangements for the marriage that's fine, but at least they'll still get in touch somehow. They are both witches, remember? I am tired of solving issues between the two of you for Ten years. My existence has never been this stressful until both of you came together."
Daria fumed as she vanished and Lucinda levitated to the books on the wall to get one.
"I think it's time I told her about you." Linda said, and the book Lucinda was holding fell, but she caught it back before it could hit the wooden floor.
"You wouldn't dare. So, she would try to force herself on me, and I'll give in like he did? Never." Lucinda frowned, visibly angry.
"I don't care. She wouldn't even have your time because she has something better to do." Linda hissed, walking towards the door.
"You wouldn't dare Linda. If you do, I swear I'll kill you with my own bare hands." Lucinda threatened.
"Oh, I'm scared." Linda hissed and turned to look at her. "We both know here that your existence would be permanently forever if she knows you killed me."
Linda walked out of the room with pride and Lucinda groaned and moved to the window where she saw Elysia and Angel from very far away.
"Okay. I guess I should get going. I promise to visit you the night before my wedding, okay?" Angel hugged Elysia as she gave her the basket filled with books.
"Okay. I'll make sure to prepare your gift for you, okay?" Elysia hugged her back, patting her back.
"Okay. See you." Angel picked the second basket and waved at her before walking away.
Elysia watched Angelica walk away with a sad expression. Her one and only friend was leaving her already. "Elysia."
The basket with her disappeared immediately as she heard Linda's voice. "Sheesh. I didn't know she was coming." Elysia thought as she turned to face Linda.
"What was that?"
"Nothing. It's nothing." Elysia gritted her teeth.
"I wanted to tell you to come and make dinner." Linda said, and Elysia gritted her teeth again.
"I already had something not long ago. Is it a must I cook again?" Elysia asked, looking at Linda with her cutest eyes.
"That would not work. You must learn how to cook which I know you can, you're only lazy to cook." Linda smirked.
"It's not like it's going to be useful." Elysia mumbled, walking towards the tower.
Elysia stood in the kitchen looking at all the vegetables before her. She pouted a little as she saw the large cabbage and tomatoes.
"What am I cooking?" She asked Linda who just sat there reading a spell book.
"Salad, rice, and chicken soup." Linda said.
"What? You should have told me earlier. When would I eat dinner if I'm cooking that much?" Elysia whimpered, stomping her feet on the ground.
"Less talking and more cooking." Linda said, turning the page of the book with her.
Elysia groaned as she started cooking. She kept on mumbling and grumbling as she made prepared an ingredient. Very soon she was done cooking.
Linda walked to the bowl of soup and tasted it before smirking. "And you don't like cooking. Look how delicious this soup tastes."
Elysia didn't reply. She just carried her soup, rice, and salad before walking up to her room. "Don't come into my room again tonight."
"What if I have something important to tell you?" Linda asked, trying to make her angrier.
"Keep it to yourself until I have your time." Elysia called back, walking up the stairs to her room.
"What if....."
"I said keep it." Elysia thundered and Linda laughed before nodding.
"Goodnight and make sure you sleep early."
"Not like it'll affect you if I don't. Just get the hell out of my tower." Elysia hissed, slamming the door of her room.
