Allowed to go out of the tower

Elysia yawned as she woke up the following morning. She laid there on the bed for a few minutes, looking sideways at the window. The morning sun rays entered the room and the sky looked beautiful from where she laid.

"Good morning, Elysia." She heard Linda's voice from behind. Elysia turned to look at Linda, who sat on the bed and pecked her cheeks.

"Good morning, aunt Linda." She replied, and Linda pat her head.

"Guess what?" Linda said.

"I'll be allowed to go out of the tower anytime I want?" Elysia asked.

"Not exactly anytime you want, but you're allowed to go out of the tower during the day." Linda corrected her, and Elysia looked at Linda with disbelief.

"That's impossible." Elysia's mouth was agape as she said with her voice filled with disbelief.

"Well, your mother said since you snuck out the other day because you didn't have access to the outside world, how about you start with the school." Linda explained, but that wasn't the case. The reason Lucinda allowed Elysia out of the tower was because Daria was with them.

"Well thank her." Elysia stood up and rushed to the bathroom. "I want to get a bath and go out. Even though no one has my time, at least I'm happy outside. Maybe I can even go to one of those witches classrooms."

"It's a weekend today, Elysia, they'll all be outside or in their dorms, not in class." Linda smiled, but the girl didn't answer her. "Wait, the water is still hot, don't go in yet."

After taking her bath, Linda dressed her in a red simple dress matching the color of her veil. Just then Linda noticed the change in Elysia's appearance because something was missing.

"Where is your necklace Elysia?" Linda asked and Elysia touched her neck, surprised. She looked around the room and then back at her neck.

"It was with me the night I went out." Elysia said innocently.

"It's okay. Come on." Linda frowned as she leads Elysia out of the tower. Elysia noticed the barrier around her tower was no more there.

"She what?" Lucinda thundered when she heard Linda tell her about Elysia's missing necklace. "That necklace holds part of my powers. If they get a sample of my powers, they will be able to break through my barriers no matter what. What the heck is this? This can't be happening."

"Calm down, Lucinda. Elysia had put a protection spell on it. There's no way they would be able to break through her spell unless they use her." Linda rolled her eyes.

"Is that supposed to make me feel better? Because it isn't working." Lucinda groaned and Linda rolled her eyes.

"You said it yourself, her powers are more powerful than yours even before her awakening, and when she's casting a spell she gives it her whole." Linda rested on the bookshelf behind her, and Lucinda growled.

"Daria." Lucinda thundered and Daria appeared. She was wearing a blue dress and her golden hair was in a side ponytail. Her blue eyes looked questioningly at Lucinda who sat on her chair visibly pissed.

"And what the hell do you need me for that you yelled my name that my ear drums nearly exploded?" She asked Lucinda resting on the potion table and a black flask caught her attention.

"You haven't seen anything yet." Linda mumbled.

Daria picked the flask and opened it. "Drop that now, Daria. I called you here for seriously things, not play."

"And what is the serious stuff? You think I don't know what you called me here for? It isn't an emergency. Elysia had put a spell on it, so regardless of what it can't come down. Unless she brings down the spell herself. Not even you know who can break the spell." Daria mumbled, pouring the content in the black flask in a transparent glass. The black liquid turned into transparent immediately it entered the other bottle. "Nice. You found the potion."

"What if the spell goes off for once?" Lucinda asked.

"Like the rest of us, her power doesn't get affected by any of the seasons, so there's no need to be worried." Linda sighed.

Elysia who sat at Lake Jasmine was busy enjoying herself when she heard someone call her name.

"Elysia."

Elysia looked up to see the girl she saved the other day walking towards her. Elysia raised her brows as she stood before her.

"Hello. May I?" She asked, and Elysia nodded. The girl sat down gently, looking into the water. "I was passing by, and I saw you sitting alone. I wanted to thank you for the other day."

"It's nothing." Elysia replied, and the girl nodded.

"Oh, I'm Angelica, but people call me Angel." She introduced.

"Okay." Elysia nodded.

"I'm sorry about the other day about how I acted. I was just scared of what those girls would do if I walked away. I wasn't petrified of you." Angel said.

"You aren't?" Elysia asked.

"I was friends with Lisa, the other girl who was your friend, before I came here. Whenever I followed her mother for visiting, she told me about you being a nice girl." Angel explained and Elysia nodded.

"Thank you." Elysia said, and she nodded, even though she didn't know what she was thanking her for. "So, what are you doing?"

"I was trying to start a new spell before I go back to the dorm, but I couldn't get the spell." Angel opened her spell book and showed her a spell.

"I knew that spell when I was five. It's a breeze. I'll help you with it if you give me a tour around the school and dorms." Elysia said.

"I'm not sure what the other kids would think about you being in their dorms, but I'm fine with the school." Angel gritted her teeth.

"My mum owns the school, so why can't I go to the dorms. You'll just be my guide." Elysia said, and Angel finally agreed.

"This way. I'll start with the first class of the primaries. We have two different classes because of our size. This is my tenth month in primaries. This is also our last spell book. I'm trying to finish the spells ahead of class, so my next two months will be easy, as the last two weeks are for examinations." Angela explained, leading her to the first floor of the school, and she opened the door to the primaries first class.

The class was large enough to accommodate hundreds of people. There were a few desks and chairs at the front of the class. At the back of the class was an empty place which had a pentagram carved in the floor. The walls were filled with books.

"That's our indoor training ground. We can train in the class without disturbing others." Angel explained.

"Did you read all these spell books?" Elysia asked.

"Not everything, but a large amount of it. We used about fifty spell books this year." Angel said, and they walked to the training ground and looked at the floor.

Elysia knelt on one knee and closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. "Magicia Amatere Novo."

The pentagram was on fire and Angel gasped in awe. She was surprised a little girl like Elysia could do that powerful spell.

"That is the sixth level of magic stage's spell, isn't it?" Angel asked and Elysia nodded, putting out the fire.

"So does that mean you're in your sixth level?" Angel asked, unable to close her mouth after Elysia nodded. "But you're just seven? I'm twelve, and I haven't even reached the peak of my first stage."

"I'm at the peak of my sixth stage already. I'm preparing for my final stage." Elysia said with pride, making Angel gasp with admiration.

"You're so unbelievable." Angel gasped.

"Elysia? What are you doing here?" Linda asked walking in.

"Nothing. Angelica is showing me around, and I promised to teach her the spell she has problems with." Elysia replied and Linda nodded.

"I'll come for you later, okay? Don't go out of the school." Linda said and Elysia nodded.

Later in the evening, Elysia and Angel appeared next to Lake Jasmine from her training ground.

"That was great. Thank you very much, Elysia." Angel hugged her and Elysia smiled.

"It's nothing." Elysia smiled.

"I better get going. Dinner will be served very soon." Angel looked towards the dorm. "Make sure to inform me next time you are coming out on weekends, okay? I'm always occupied during weekdays, so I don't think we can have much time then. Well, see you."

Angel walked away and Linda walked to Elysia looking at Angel go. "Looks like you have a new friend."

"I hope she doesn't meet the same date as Lisa." Elysia looked up at Linda threateningly.

"Sure, sure." Linda smiled, patting her veiled head. "Come on Missy." Linda carried Elysia and walked towards the tower.

As Linda tucked her in after taking a shower, for the first time in two years, Elysia asked for a bedtime story. Linda happily read her one. It was about a young girl and her mother. "Why does my mother hate me so much?"

Linda closed the book and looked at Elysia before she kept the book away, and she pat Elysia's cheeks gently. "Lucinda doesn't hate you. She's just foolishly preventing herself from what happened in the past before she had you."

"What happened?" Elysia asked.

"It's a story for when you're older, Elysia." Linda pecked her forehead. "Goodnight sweetheart."

Just then, in the magical woods, someone picked up the necklace with amethyst crystal and place it in a fancy box.
