Here for her (Part 2)

"Who were those aunt Linda?" Elysia asked as Linda led her to her tower.

"They are visitors here to see Lucinda. We'll talk about it later, but for now, go and get some rest. Daria would prepare lunch for you." Linda helped her to bed. "And if you need anything, Theo will help you get it. Don't get out of bed or come out of the tower. Understood?"

"Alright. I understand." Elysia replied and Linda nodded before walking out of the tower.

Outside the tower, King Draven's men were arranging camp not far from Lake Jasmine. Aren, king Draven's royal advisor, was walking around monitoring the next.

"Make sure none of the men move close to the women unless the women does alright. There are little kids here,, and I'm sure they'll be terrified to see men walking around after they haven't seen any in a few months." Aren said to the man behind him, who bowed before walking away.

"Lord Aren." Linda walked towards Aren who bowed immediately he saw her, and she did the same. "Lunch has been prepared for your men, please I want you to ask them to be careful with the women and not take anything they do to heart because our workers here are those who doesn't know men."

"No problem." Aren nodded and Linda waved her hands. Some ladies dressed in simple gown and wearing white cloaks with their heads covered walked towards them with trays of food.

The men obeyed the instructions given to them and thanked the ladies as they served them lunch. The food consisted of different dishes, which surprised the men. There were different dishes of rice, soup, salads and many more.

"Your lunch will be served in your room, Lord Aren. This way." Linda led him to his prepared room, and he thanked her.

After having a nice lunch, Aren went out to Draven's room. Draven was standing on the balcony looking outside at the ocean. He was shirtless and his hair was down.

"You sent for me, my Lord." Aren bowed.

"When we're returning, inform Zaiden we'll be staying in their kingdom for a few days, so she'll be able to rest." Draven said, and Aren nodded.

"But my Lord, Lucinda hasn't decided if she's going to let go of her daughter." Aren said, and Draven looked back at him.

"She doesn't have a choice. She knows as much as I do that a day I would finally know where she's hiding her and come to get her." Draven looked back at the ocean. "I'm not leaving here without taking back my queen."

In Elysia's tower, Daria served her lunch and gave her a book to read. It surprised Elysia that it wasn't a spell book. It was a book about the seven continents of the world.

"I know you've read about it before, but it won't hurt to know more about it, right?" Daria asked serving her tea.

"Yes, it won't hurt." Elysia opened the first chapter of the book. "The largest kingdom in the whole of the world, Velaris."

"Velaris is the largest kingdom in the world. It has the largest landmark, as it occupied a whole continent." Elysia gasped and looked at the map of the seven continents drawn on the next page. Although Velaris wasn't in the biggest continent, it was still the biggest kingdom. The continent was the third largest, and on the other continents they had about eight kingdoms each. The largest continent had twelve kingdoms and the second largest had ten kingdoms. Elysia saw their landmarks were large but still nothing.

"Velaris is divided into five regions, each ruled by appointed chiefs by the head of Velaris. Velaris is rich with numerous resources that is enough to keep them independent. Velaris has the strongest forces, and it was difficult to conquer a region." Elysia read.

"Velaris is also ruled by a dominant king. The head of the regions now. He is cruel and doesn't spare enemies, but no one knows how he treats his woman because he never had a real one. He has many concubines, and you should see how his harem was described, although it was said his father and grandfather's concubines were still there. And he was rumored to be the devil because of how he acts and his dominance." Daria said, and Elysia's face lit up.

"Oh, someone like that would sound interesting." She smiled, looking at the next page of the book.

Daria couldn't believe what she just heard. Elysia said he would sound interesting, really? Does she even know what she's saying?

Later in the evening, Linda lead Draven to Lucinda's tower. Lucinda was sitting on the bed looking at him with a frown on her face.

"Why do you want to take her with you so badly?" She frowned.

"Do I have to repeat the same words over and over again? When I realized I marked her unknowingly when I met her ten years ago and my urge to get her closer to me is increasing, why won't I come looking for her." Draven frowned.

"Why did you even mark her in the first place?" Lucinda asked.

"I don't know." He replied.

"Why won't you know?" She frowned.

"I was just an eleven years old boy. How do you expect me to know that?" Draven frowned and Lucinda scoffed.

"I knew what I was doing right since when I started talking." She snorted.

"I see. So, that's why you were easily tricked to have a child for her father, right? Because you used all your sanity back when you were a kid." He raised his brows.

"How dare you." Lucinda stood up, but Linda got between them.

"You both should talk to each other politely. Darven, you're here to ask for Elysia's hand in marriage, not insult her mother. And Lucinda you're here to decide not mock him." Linda said and they both returned to normal.

"She needs to get out of this place very soon, Lucinda. I can feel it. If she stays any longer than three months, he would be able to find her exact location and take her with him." Draven said, and Lucinda sighed.

"I know. That was why I had her go out the other day, so you would know where she was and come take her. I'm sure, until we find something, you would be able to protect her. My powers are weakening." Lucinda hissed.

"But if your powers weaken completely, you would die." Draven said.

"Not exactly. Since I was cursed to live for eternity, once I lose my power I wouldn't know who I am and just remain in darkness until eternity." Lucinda replied. "I have expected it."

"Why are all your powers weakening all at once? That shouldn't be." Draven frowned.

"That is because we're all using all our powers to protect her, as her powers are breaking free little by little and absorbing our powers. Her power is more powerful than ours." Lucinda replied.

"So how sure are you that mine isn't lesser than hers?" He frowned.

"Because the power you're using now isn't up to an inch of all your powers. You would be able to protect her until we get rid of him for good." Lucinda replied and Draven nodded.

"How long will you stay here?" Lucinda asked.

"For a week. I'm trying to put some things down before we return to Velaris." Draven replied and Lucinda nodded.

"We'll be preparing her rituals in six days then. You can have a proper wedding once you get to Velaris. Mind you, there are things you have to follow." Lucinda said. "Her veil, only you will be able to open it once she makes her oath to be your wife, and that will be in your wedding in Velaris. No one can see her face if anyone does, I don't care who the person is, kill the person, or I will. It isn't the first time she's going to know a person who sees her face, except us will be dead before the person tells anyone a word. I'll be sending Daria along to help her with everything she will do that involves removing her veil."

"Alright. I understand." Draven nodded.

"Then I agree already. You can take her along." Lucinda said, and Draven nodded.

"I will make sure I protect her well." He replied.

"You would visit her tomorrow night after Linda tells her about it." Lucinda replied.

Draven returned to his room and he met Aren there. "Your majesty, I have informed Prince Zaiden. He said you're welcome to stay for as long as you like."

"Alright. Prepare everything I asked you to. Send the carriage from Velaris and the gifts. Lucinda has accepted." Draven replied, walking to the balcony.

"Yes your majesty." Aren bowed and walked out of the room.

In the tower, Elysia had fallen asleep with the book she was reading opened in her chest.

"She's reading on Velaris. Nice. You'll be following her to Velaris Daria." Linda said to Daria, who was sitting by the window with Theo.

"I know." Daria nodded.

Linda adjusted Elysia under the blanket and turned off all the lights except that Daria and Theo were using.
