It's been two days since Linda had her sudden attack. Elysia couldn't help but worry each minutes. No matter what Daria said, she continued panicking.
Elysia sat on her window, biting her black nails nervously. "Can I at least see her?"
"Lucinda said not to bring you." Daria sighed.
"Please. Please." Elysia groaned.
"Take her if she wants to go." Theo, who was sitting on the chair, said.
"Alright." Daria held Elysia's hand, and she appeared in Lucinda's tower. Elysia furrowed her brows immediately she entered the tower. The powers swirling around were suffocating.
"I told you not to bring her, Daria." Lucinda said from where she stood, looking for a grimoire.
"Do you know how difficult it is to take care of someone. Especially Elly? She's the hardest person to convince. She hasn't even eaten since Linda left." Daria humphed.
"Where's aunt Linda?" Elysia asked, looking around, and Lucinda pointed at the bed. Elysia rushed over with her good leg and drew the curtains, looking at Linda, who laid there still and unmoving. "Is she okay?"
"She just passed out due to loss of power." Lucinda said. "I can't guarantee she would be fine anytime soon."
"Do you even know how to make someone feel less stressed?" Daria hissed and Lucinda just ignored her.
"What did she do last before the attack?" Lucinda moved towards them, opening the grimoire with her.
"She showed me how you met my father." Elysia said, and the grimoire with Lucinda fell on the hard floor.
"Linda?" Daria gasped.
"What's wrong?" Elysia asked.
"She shouldn't have. She knows her powers are getting weak already now taking someone to the past….if it were someone else but you it might not have the effect, but your powers were threatening hers." Daria explained.
"How is that even possible? My powers aren't dark." Elysia frowned.
"Yes it isn't but taking you to the past, she is taking the whole of you. So, it was like she had all your powers in her at that moment, which made her own powers leak." Daria said worriedly.
Lucinda was still in shock where she stood. Her mouth was agape. And immediately Lucinda, snap out.
"LINDA!!! HOW DARE SHE GO AGAINST MY ORDER." Lucinda boomed angrily. "I told her this already. Even I felt the weight of her powers when I showed her the past."
"Calm down Lucinda. That's not helping." Daria sighed.
"I think it's helping. Let her explode." Linda said in a weak voice.
"Aunt Linda." Elysia threw her arms around her, hugging her. "I missed you."
"Linda, why did you show it to her?" Lucinda boomed again.
"Hey. You won't tell me everything, so she told me what I asked her." Elysia pouted and Lucinda sighed. "So my father's name was....."
"Which normal human would hold the power of destruction? He just lied and I fell for it." Lucinda cut her off.
"So he tricked you, we get what is his name already…."
"Something is wrong outside, Lucy." Theo stood at the window, looked down at the students looking towards the gates.
"What is that?" Lucinda walked to the window. Everyone downstairs looked alarmed as they all turned their defense towards the gates.
"What's wrong?" Elysia walked next to her mother looking outside.
Earlier before then, a group of men rode horses near the school and halted not far from the school gates. The horses all carried a crest of a large red dragon with its wings spread out. It was breathing out fire.
The horse that came first was clearly recognized to be a royal horse. The man sitting on it was staring at the school. His jet black hair was in a half ponytail. The wind effortlessly lifted the hair, brushing it against his royal robe. The robe was red with fire opals.
"Here is where she is, your majesty." The man next to him said.
"She's in Lucinda's school? I never expected that." His cold and spine-chilling voice said. He waved his hands, and they rode slowly towards the school. Suddenly a series of fireballs were launched at them, but before they could reach them, they all turned into nothing.
The outer gates closed and some women appeared on the walls of the school standing their ground ready to attack if they took any step forward.
"Don't they recognize royalties?" The other man who spoke earlier snorted.
"They don't recognize anyone, Aren. They aren't concerned with royalties, except it's one of them." Their leader mumbled and got off his horse. His robe trailed behind him as he walked towards the gates. Each attack the launched was all wasted because it didn't even touch him.
"And why are you here, King Draven?" The gates opened, and they all let their guard down. On the other side of the gate stood Lucinda. Her leaf brown hair was in the hoodie of the cloak she was wearing.
"Nice seeing you too, Lucinda." He replied and she nodded gently. "You should know why I'm here."
"What is that Draven? There are many things you could be here for." Lucinda replied with her same expressionless face.
"I'm here for what's mine. I believe she's inside. I would have left her for long, but not after your carelessness the other day." Draven frowned.
"I only did that to confirm if it was really you. I am not careless. I could easily take her away from Adonia within a blink of an eye." Lucinda folded her arms across her chest.
"And you made her break her ankle. What type of mother would do that?" Draven raised her brows.
"I don't see how I take care of my daughter concerns you." Lucinda hissed.
"And I see the main reason it concerns me. She is mine,, and I'll make sure she isn't used like that." Draven frowned.
"Her being under our protection would only make her weak, you know as much as I do. And oh why did the color of your hair change?" She raised her brows.
"I don't see how you're concerned with why my hair color changed." Draven rolled his eyes.
"She can't even recognize you. She was only shown the image of the teenage you who now have black hair." Lucinda snorted, and he scoffed.
"Enough already, you two." Linda appeared between them, and the barrier separating them disappeared. "Why do you argue with every single person, Lucinda?"
"Great you're up." Lucinda frowned.
"Welcome, your majesty." Lucinda bowed and Draven nodded.
"I hope you're returning today because there's no room for your men." Lucinda frowned.
"As long as you have a campground my men are okay. I'm leaving with her next week." Draven said, still holding his cold attitude.
"You can't be kidding me." Lucinda scoffed.
"I think we will talk about that privately." Linda frowned. "I'll make sure they prepare everything, your men. And please ask them to keep distance from the students, they aren't very fond of men in the school. And I'm sure you would have come up with something within the few days you would be here, your majesty."
"Thank you very much, Linda. You are more hospitable than the other woman here." Draven smirked and Lucinda snarled.
"You can all come in. Your horses would be taken care of well. But I don't see why you had to bring fifty men." Linda raised her brows.
"I'm the king of the largest kingdom in the whole of seven continents. I own one continent all to myself, so I don't see why I shouldn't bring those men to protect their king." Draven smirked, looking at Lucinda.
"You weren't asked whether you own the largest kingdom or not. Being the most powerful doesn't mean you wouldn't attend to yourself throughout your stay here because there aren't men available for that." Lucinda frowned.
"Oh, I never go anywhere without my personal attendant, in case of people like you." Draven snorted and Linda faked a coughed and lead them all inside.
All the women witches gasped as they walked all walked inside. Linda led Draven into one of the spare rooms. It wasn't small, neither was it too big. It was expensively furnished and Draven raised his brow.
"Is this magic or…"
"Draven conduct yourself. I don't see why you're concerned if it is magic." Linda walked towards the door. "Food will be served shortly."
"Can I see her?" He asked.
"Probably when you talk to Lucinda tonight." Linda walked out.
