Putting everything Lucinda said to one side, Elysia tried to get some rest, but she couldn't even close her eyes.
"Who saved me last night? He had red eyes. The population of red eyes is really low, so who could it be?" Elysia sat up and winced as she felt pain in her ankle. "I would never in my life step out of this school again. My ankles hurt."
Elysia dragged herself to the window and sat there. She looked at the ocean and remembered how it looked and felt like when she went close to it in the village. Then her mind caught the thought of the village, and she couldn't help but think about what happened to her again.
"Oh, the things I bought." She gasped and everything she bought appeared before her. She took the necklace she bought and put it on. She took a mirror and looked at her neck. "It even fits with my veil on."
"What are those?" She heard Linda's voice
"Things I got. Do you believe there were more men than I thought, aunt Linda? Elysia gasped. "And I made this friend. Her name is June. I made friends with her when I scared off her bullies. And I had this fish soup. It was delicious. Oh, I brought the ingredients."
"They're all in your kitchen." Linda replied.
"When can you get things I hide?" Elysia asked.
"Since you were ten. I just didn't want to take them without your permissions, but those fishes you brought would rotten if I didn't." Linda replied, picking the dress Elysia got. "This is a noble's casual dress."
"Really?" Elysia asked.
"Yes. It is made for nobles. They wouldn't just sell it to anyone unless they thought you're from a noble family." Linda chuckled.
"Do I look like a noble?" Elysia asked.
"Your face was covered, silly. Who wouldn't think that." Linda laughed.
"So no wonder they were all addressing me as my lady." Elysia nodded.
"Here, I brought you something to eat and some medications." Linda said, serving her a plate of rice and the soup she ate at the food house yesterday.
"This mashed veggies soup? How did you know…."
"I saw the ingredients. I'm not that dumb, Elysia." Linda smirked. "Not even dumb to know you used your magic to try to fool me that you were in the room. I knew you were planning to sneak out since the day you thought about it."
"Oh, about that." Elysia laughed. "Yeah. I did."
"Even a stage five witches would know that." Linda said.
"Aunt Linda? Who is my father?" Elysia asked, and the cup with Linda fell on the ground and shattered into pieces.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I apologize for reacting like that. You can't know. No one calls his name, even." Linda replied.
"Oh. How did he meet mother?" Elysia asked.
"I can tell you that." Linda held her hand and the scene changed.
Elysia saw Lucinda sitting under a tree lost in thoughts. She had a few spell books and a scepter near her. She was playing with her leaf brown hair as she thought.
Someone suddenly walked to her and squatted before her. Lucinda looked up and saw the handsome man before her. His beauty made all the senses shut down.
His black hair fell down his shoulders and his beautiful eyes were alluring.
"Excuse me, young lady. I wanted to ask you if you know anyone named Lucinda?" He asked with a raised brow.
Lucinda didn't reply for a few minutes. "Oh, I'm Lucinda."
"Oh, that's great. I was told you had your way with magic and can heal. Please, my mother is really I'll, and I need your help.
Elysia could easily tell he wasn't as pure as he looked. Even from just seeing the memories, she could feel his aura. It was dark and threatening.
The scene changed, and they were walking out of a house. "Thank you very much, Lucinda. I don't know how to repay this favor. Please let me repay you."
"Oh, no need." Lucinda said.
"Please don't resist. Within three days, my mother has been back to her healthy self, all thanks to you. Please let me repay you. Where can I find you?" He asked.
"I can't exactly tell but here." She gave him her necklace. "It would lead you to me if you ask."
"Oh, thank you very much." He smiled.
Then the scene changed again and Lucinda was sitting by a lake with her feet dangling in it.
"Lucinda." She turned and saw the man approaching her. "It took me hours to find you."
"Oh, the necklace knew I was somewhere around here, so it let you do the rest of the work." She smiled.
"I didn't get to tell you my name. I'm Jace." He said, and Lucinda nodded.
"That's nice. So, why did you decide to look for me?" Lucinda asked, putting her feet out of the lake.
"Well…. I don't know how to tell you but….but I think I'm in love with you....." Shatter.
Elysia was back in her room. "What happened next, aunt Linda? What?"
"She blindly accepted after a few persuasions, of course." Linda replied and Elysia could tell she looked weak.
"What's wrong, aunt Linda?" Elysia used her magic to stand properly and walk to Linda, who winced immediately she stood up.
"I'm… I'm….ouch." Linda fell on her knees and Elysia started panicking. "Call…. Lucy…"
"Mother. Mother." Elysia screamed and Lucinda appeared in the room.
"What's wrong?" Lucinda quickly rushed to them and squatted next to Linda. "Are you okay?"
"Do…. I…look like I….am?" Linda frowned.
"Seriously, you can act rude in a time like this?" Lucinda hissed. "Theo. Theo."
Twilight flew in and turned into a man, surprising Elysia. "What the?" She screamed.
"It's okay. Daria would explain to you." Lucinda said and Dawn flew in, turning into Daria.
"You. You…you…. yesterday."
"Wow, she's more shocked than I thought." Daria chuckled, resting on the wall because she was strangely still weak since yesterday.
"Theo take her back to the tower. Her powers are leaking." Lucinda said, and Theo carried Linda in his arms before walking out of the room.
"So. So….so…"
"Just calm down, Elysia. Take some water." Daria gave her a glass of water, and she drank. "Yes we're human. Well, not actually human. We are helping Lucinda and Linda protect you."
"So you've been people all along?" Elysia gasped.
"Exactly." Daria smiled.
"And you showed me the way yesterday?" Elysia asked.
"And also gave you the money." Daria smiled and Elysia couldn't close her mouth. "It's okay. It's okay. No need to be surprised. Ouch."
"What's wrong?" Elysia asked.
"Nothing much. I'm just out of powers since yesterday, which seemed strange." Daria frowned, sitting on the window.
"Is that what's wrong with aunt Linda too?" Elysia asked.
"I think so." Daria replied.
"What will happen if you run completely out of power?" Elysia asked.
"In my case, there's going to be a slim chance of surviving, but in Linda's I'm not certain." Daria said and Elysia's mood changed drastically. "But no need to worry. Lucinda would give her part of her powers. They are siblings for something."
Elysia nodded and sat on her bed. "What if something happens to her?" Elysia asked.
"Nothing would happen to her, Elly be rest assured." Daria smiled.
In Lucinda's tower, Linda laid on the bed, with the whole room filled with white smoke. Her powers were seriously leaking out.
"Will she survive Lucy?" Theo asked looking at Linda who laid on the bed looking pale.
"Even I don't know because all the powers I gave to her are leaking too." Lucinda sighed. "Linda, please try to get yourself together and block the passage of your powers. Please."
Linda just frowned with her eyes still closed.
In one of the other continents, someone sitting on the large throne in a throne hall held Elysia's painting.
"It's her." He mumbled.
"What should we do your Majesty?"
"We're going to Magicia." He ordered. "I'm finally coming to get you."
