At the start of the story, the main character feels confused and struggles to adjust to the Tower, much like an ordinary person.
While the main character is kind and affectionate, there are moments when he become angry and behave selfishly or maliciously. This story doesn't feature a perfect "Knight in shining armor" protagonist. He is human too, like you and me.
If you're seeking shallow characters, you won't find them here. Every character, no matter how minor, has a backstory.
Nox, too, holds a intricate past that will gradually unfold throughout the novel.

Rating: 5.0 Chapters read 12/12 Plot: Excellent Story flow: Excellent Favorite chapter: 8 Favorite character: Nox 3 things I liked: 1. The well-detailed and well-explained change of events, how the story migrated from a detective to a swordsman. 2. The beginning of the story as a detective. Such high deductive skills of the Nox, his high level of intelligence made me hooked from the beginning. 3. The idea of a survival from the death by participating in some challenge to climb the tower and became the God is an excellent idea. There is not even a single thing I didn't like. The work is excellent. Actual review: The story of a detective who were doing his best to help those who need, suddenly take an unexpected twist, when he decided to put into jail the man of higher levels of society. The sudden second chance to live was given to him, but this change might seem to be rather different from what he expected, and expected he to have something like that at all? The story is great, the idea, the plot... Everything is on such a high level, it made me hooked from the beginning. My high recommendations for everyone to read it!
Hmm. Not bad not bad. This one was a pretty decent one having a balence between nerve racking and heart soothing moments. Although it was a unique start the book was originally starting in chapter 8, I guess. Before that if you ask me it was like what-Tang-San-was-before-reincarnation moments. It was a perfect breeze before the storm. Good attention to details. even the words were very clean. The world background was not yet introduced due to few reasons and you will know when you read. Character design: this was the sauce I enjoyed the most in this dish. His thoughts and his principles were intimidating as realistic. story development was not bad but it was just the start of the novel so I should wait to give a more acceptable answer. your boat is sailing smoothly but what would you do if a storm strikes and renders you to hit the rock bottom!!! the story is about Nox (the mc), a personal investigator and one who is highly excellent in his job. From accomplishing small personal missions to getting some top criminals disguised as billionaires locked up behind bars, he has done it all. The aspiration that drove him to achieve it all was the hope that someday he'll find about his own parents who went missing around a decade ago. Not my style to give spoilers here, but long story short his life took a complete roundabout when he was transported to a different world, one devoid of normal human things, one that constituted strange creatures and some chosen humans, one who were summoned by the tower. On top of it all, now lies a trial in front of him and the others like him, a trial to judge their abilities. the rest is up to you all to read. personally, i enjoyed the story. The protagonist is outstandingly written with his keen and observant qualities and his other skills he has acquired by being a spy. he could see on the surface and under it too and thats one of the things i liked. talking about the author, apart from formulating up a good plot and story, author also did an amazing job detailing everything with a precise amount of imageries and world background. books like these shouldnt be missed, so add this one to your libraries you all

It's just that, i feel the story could probably go a bit fast? Maybe i am wrong but thats what / how i think. World background could be more detailed, even though it's a world before isekai, explanations could help a bit. But again my lord, it doesn't change much. Just that, it would've helped more. Else, there is nothing to say. Simply awesome✨
World building is stellar and very intriguing. Protagonist gives off a pedantic/Monk vibe which is quite interesting as well. He's strong, but not conceited at all.
